On this retreat, you will be staying at Pura Vida Wellness Retreat. There, you can commune with nature in all its forms; sea, jungle, river, tropical plants, and birds. The accommodations are rustic but clean and comfortable and designed in modern Mexican palapa style with all comforts including hot showers, mosquito nets, safe boxes, LED lights, hammocks, etc.
Staying at Pura Vida Wellness Retreat is an experience unlike any other. The cabins are located in a jungle and a tropical garden situated on the hill just at the ocean shore. Most of the cabins have breathtaking views of the ocean and Yelapa bay, they were built literally just above the ocean. You may enjoy the ocean view right from your bed or from a terrace. Each cabin has one to two queen size beds (organic metal-free mattresses and organic, hypoallergenic or goose down pillows) with mosquito nets.
There is also a very spacious cabin with a loft of two queen size beds downstairs and two upstairs. Each cabin has a private bathroom (some with ocean views). They are furnished with authentic Mexican furniture and artifacts selected individually for each cabin to offer a very unique look and feel. All cabins are spacious and individually designed. All lighting is soft white LEDs which are energy saving and good for your eyes and health.
The cabins were built in modern palapa style. They are walled from three sides and open in the front, offering amazing jungle and ocean views, security, privacy, and fresh unpolluted air. There is also one fully enclosed cabin with air-conditioning.
Pure Vida Wellness Retreat is mostly EMF-free. There is Wi-Fi limited to certain hours in the common area. There are spots on the property where you can get cellular reception. Pura Vida Wellness Retreat invites you to retreat from the media, computers, and phones. Unlike other hotels in the area, you are not limited just to your room. It’s a communal spiritual retreat experience.
For cleansing and spiritual rejuvenation, Pura Vida Wellness Retreat offers temazcal, a type of sweat lodge used traditionally by pre-Hispanic indigenous people of Mexico. For meditative Vipassana walks, there is a labyrinth in the zen garden. You will also find a way to enjoy your aloneness on meditation decks on the rocks by the ocean. To ensure your meditative retreat experience, loud music or alcohol is not allowed at the property.
The typical retreat day depends upon the type of retreat you choose and on your personal preferences. You will have a meeting upon your arrival to help map out your retreat. Some of this will also happen on the phone when Pura Vida Wellness Retreat discusses your retreat. Your personal retreat schedule will offer you plenty of time for being alone and some time for group classes or trips. On Sundays, Pura Vida Wellness Retreat may schedule a day or a half-day structured silence which includes silent meditations, mindfulness walks, and group breathwork.
There are some benefits that Pura Vida Wellness Retreat's clients have experienced in the past from this work. Please note that these results cannot be guaranteed. You must take 100% responsibility for your own healing, complete the program, and continue healing practices after the retreat. Here are some of the benefits:
Most people feel quite full and do not get hungry and feel lighter with more energy than when eating since the digestive process normally consumes a lot of energy. Some people, on the first or second day, have a temporary sense of hunger because the organism is conditioned to want food and have a full feeling in the belly. This usually passes quickly. If you need extra nourishment, Pura Vida Wellness Retreat can add blended raw green soups and miso broth.
In order to achieve more benefits from your cleanse, you should be eliminating acidic foods like processed foods, alcohol, caffeine, sugar, meat, dairy, and wheat from your diet, at least two to three days before the retreat. Eat more alkaline and whole foods, such as vegetables, fruits, almonds, quinoa, and red rice. In addition, drink plenty of fresh water at least eight glasses a day.
