Emily Perrier from Prittie Yoga is one of 5 Energy Medicine Yoga (EMYoga) teachers in the UK and she would love to introduce you to the beauty and manifestation of Energy Medicine Yoga through the water element which transforms fear into courage. Since it is currently not possible to travel at the moment, she has created an immersive half-day course to leave you feeling empowered and equipped with new skills to support you during this unusual time. Course information: Energy Medicine Yoga (EMYoga)

This course integrates energy medicine and yoga to amplify the benefits of your yoga practice without increasing the time devoted to it. For beginners and experts alike, EMYoga fits into any yoga style. In this course, you are going to delve into one of the five Chinese elements, water.

Water element

Everything starts in water. It is the womb, the realm of quantum possibilities. Corresponding with the winter season, it is the deepest, most internal time of the year - the most introspective. Water is the source, the place where all is possible and from where all energy emerges. It is the imaginal realm.

In EMYoga, as in energy medicine, all healing cycles begin with water, and when you do an energy medicine session to find out where the energy is stuck, you always start with the two meridians and organ systems that correspond with water: kidney and bladder.

The kidney is the meridian system that leads to all the others. The first acupuncture point on the kidney meridian, Kidney 1, is the point on the base of the foot where energy enters the body. The energy then rises up to the endpoint of the kidney meridian, called Kidney 27, which is a junction point for all the other meridians (located in the hollows below the tips of your collarbone).

Kidney 27 is considered the "on" button of the body, and thumping, tapping, or deeply massaging this point awakens all the energies of the meridians and gets the body's energy moving forward, which is one of the two most important flows of energy in the body. If the body's energy isn't moving forward, you are working at a 50-percent deficit.

This course will give you a chance to strengthen and clear the kidney meridian as well as the bladder meridian.

It will teach more about the water element and the emotions associated with it, such as the challenging emotion: fear and the balancing emotions: courage, hope, and faith. It will help you transform fear into courage! Insert heart, smiling, and feeling good emoji!

Yoga Nidra

The yoga will revitalize your energy while the Nidra will leave you restored and relaxed. Yoga Nidra is a beautiful guided meditation that is equivalent to four hours of sleep.

This EMYoga (energy medicine and yoga) course is held online. Prittie Yoga is based in Surrey, UK (GMT) and they will live-stream the classes via Zoom which you can participate from the comfort of your home by just using your phone or computer.

Things to do (optional)

If you want to delve further, you can book a private yoga consultation to discuss your Chinese element blend. Emily will provide a short quiz for you to complete, together, you will discuss this, and then she will create a practice based on your elements and needs for your healing and health. The cost is 60 GBP and includes 20 minutes of consultation and 60 minutes of practice (both live).
