Dr. Kellie Moore, ND, and Biatriz Lloret M.A., LPC have licensed health practitioners in their states of residence and work on a daily basis to help women improve their mental, physical and emotional health. Renee Andreasen and Jaimie Wagener have both personal and professional experience in making lifestyle changes and learning to trust their bodies.

Daily yoga and meditation

Vinyasa, yin, restorative, Nidra - you will be practicing multiple styles of yoga as well as holding space for daily meditation.

Sample itinerary

Day 1: Arrival

Check in and get settled, then join Presh Retreats before dinner for a welcome beverage and conversation. You will have a delicious meal together and then meet in the yoga hall for some relaxing post-travel Yoga Nidra.

Day 2: Restore

Today's focus will be on understanding stress - an underlying factor in all dis-ease. You'll learn to appreciate an appropriate stress response but also the benefits of and strategies for shifting out of stress when it's no longer helpful. You will wind down your day with an evening restorative yoga class - perfect for relaxation.

Day 3: Connect

Today you will explore the topics of connection and sense of purpose and learn how important they are not just to your mental and emotional health, but your physical health as well. In the evening you'll continue your connection with each other and with the culture of your host island by participating in a Hula lesson, led by one of the island's most experienced instructors.

Day 4: Nourish

Today's focus will be on nourishment. You will start the day off with meditation and yoga and then dive into workshops on nutrition for whole health (physical, mental and emotional) and intuitive eating. In the afternoon participants will experience a hands-on whole food cooking lesson.

Day 5: Move

Today, you will focus on movement and venture to Hawaii's Volcano National Park for a 5-mile crater hike. In the evening Bree will guide participants through a self-massage using yoga tune-up balls.

Day 6: Rest

Today you will focus on the lost art of rest. After yoga and meditation, you will have plenty of downtime as well as workshops on sleep optimization and discover the benefits of simply being rather than doing. Another restorative yoga session will be offered after dinner.

Day 7: Digest

Today's topic will explore optimal gut health. You will celebrate your week of renewal with a bonfire in the evening.

Day 8: Departure

This morning you'll visit a newly formed black sand beach for yoga, breakfast, and a closing mandala ritual that will symbolize the transformation each participant has experienced.

Included excursions

  • Hike and picnic lunch at Volcano National Park.
  • Yoga and closing ritual on small newly-formed black sand beach, near the retreat center. This un-named beach was created by the recent volcanic eruption and is known only to locals.

Retreat location

Presh Retreats is looking forward to hosting you at the Kirpal Meditation and Ecological Center, near Hawaii's stunning Puna coast. The group will have exclusive access to this peaceful 10-acre property, now protected by new walls of lava rock from the 2018 Kilauea eruption. Although off-grid, the center has flushing toilets and hot water, with well-appointed and comfortable cabins. Yoga sessions will be held in the open-air yoga hale, with lava-flow and ocean views.

You will be within a 15-minute tree-covered walk from the ocean, but the closest beach is now covered in fresh lava, which offers a powerful experience but is not ideal for swimming. You will be a 5-minute drive from a newly-formed unnamed beach where they will hold the closing ceremony. You will be only a 20-minute drive from Kehena beach, a beautiful black-sand, a clothing-optional beach which lines a small swimmable bay frequented by dolphins.

The Hawaiian Puna coast is renowned for its rugged beauty and black sand beaches. You'll find that within an hour's drive of the location the scenery may change dramatically, from regenerating lava fields to the lush rainforest to arid mountains. You can also extend your stay and explore more of the awe-inspiring scenery of Hawaii's Big Island.
