Preksha Yoga Ashram is set up to mimic that of India’s traditional and ancient Gurukul system, where you will be guided and supported by their teachers throughout your stay with them. This environment is simplistic in nature and practicality, allowing the space for growth and stillness. The ashram is situated amongst the tall banana and coconut trees and surrounded by lush green vegetation, submerged beautifully in the rich nature of Mandrem, Goa.

Tranquil and secure in its setting the venue is a mere seven-minute walk from Mandrem beach and the soft deep sounds of the sea can often be heard from your beds. During this retreat, you will stay in an economy cottage, an apartment, or wooden cottage.

Program

Each day’s session has a different theme to address overall relaxation, release of stress, and cultivation of body and mind awareness.

You will also find an outlet to express your feelings and maintain your practice through learning to write a yoga Nidra journal in a beautiful journal provided by Preksha Yoga.

The afternoon session will provide an insight into the history and philosophy behind this ancient practice, the neurological and psychological connect of yoga Nidra and the scientific evidences of the benefits of yoga Nidra practice.
