Dr. Suvira (Yamuna), Bachelor in Ayurvedic Medicine & Surgery (B.A.M.S.) was born in a beautiful and green village in Goa. Since birth, she has been always in touch with nature and Ayurvedic (local) medicine. In her early childhood, she has learned some Ayurvedic (local) medicine for some common illness from her grandmother. As her granny was DAI (trained nurse), Doctor Suvira also learned to conduct complicated normal deliveries with local herbs. Since she was interested in natural medicine, after the completion of her basic studies, she has chosen to become an Ayurvedic physician.
Alexandra Denkinger, Acupuncture Therapist (M.D.Acu), Yoga teacher (RYT500) and inspired Body-Mind-Soul Bio-Hacker, dedicated to helping people empower themselves to live the most authentic, healthy life possible. She facilitates Yin Yoga Teacher training. In her Yin Yoga Sessions she integrates the ancient wisdom of Acupuncture Meridians and Chi flow in a meditative Yoga practice. In a Daoist/ Zen way, the focus is on the value of breath, insight & intuition - supporting a lifestyle that feels in alignment with our deepest self.
Nitin Jain has been teaching Hatha yoga and meditation for the last 18 years. Based in Mumbai, he has been trained at Sivananda ashram, Kerala, Mumbai University. As well as under several yoga teachers in various parts of India. Nitin has been teaching yoga in Mumbai in various wellness centers within hotels, clubs, corporate offices, yoga centers, and institutes. He has been conducting seminars on yoga, philosophy, spirituality, holistic lifestyle, yogic diet, and nutrition. He also has influenced and uplifted the lives of thousands of people from all over the world.
Vinod has integrated yoga and meditation into his life for several years now. As he began his journey into yoga, he found his dharma (life’s purpose) as he could quickly master many asanas and was eager to share his passion with others. He completed his yoga teacher training in Hatha and Vinyasa Flow in 2013. Since then, he continues his daily practice and teaches daily yoga classes.
Nidhi Singh is an experienced yoga teacher committed to making a difference in the educational field by applying wide knowledge of Yogic Philosophy, Psychology, Pranayama, Meditation, Asanas, and Sound Healing. She completed 300 Hours of Hatha Yoga Teacher Training from SVYASA University Bangalore and currently studying M.A in Yoga.
Anjali is a dynamic and peaceful individual with progressive and practical in-depth knowledge of Yogic practices. She has been trained in various streams of yogic practices including Ashtanga, Hatha, Vinyasa, and Iyengar. She has deep practical insights into Kriya yoga techniques mentioned in Hatha Yoga Texts such as Gherand Samhita & Hath Yog Pradipika.
Eleonora is a teacher of yoga and meditation-based in Goa. She is a dedicated Vipassana meditator for many years, a passionate Breather and Ecstatic Dancer. She got into meditation was in 2010 in London, then made landfall on the wide territory of yoga where she has grounded herself by the practices of Hatha and Vinyasa Flow and Yin. She studied Life And Business Coaching at The Coaching Academy in London, where she lived for many years, then Counselling at The Gestalt Centre in London, in 2014. She does teach Traditional Hatha, Hatha, and Vinyasa Flow, Yin, Mindfulness theory and practice.
Inspired by the Krishnamacharya Tradition which specializes in individualized yoga therapy classes, integrating breath-work and chanting with movement. A practice rooted in the ancient philosophy of Patanjalis Yoga Sutras. She has been following her inner journey with utmost sincerity. Her classes are holistic be it Philosophy, Asana, Meditation or Pranayama, which will leave you feeling peaceful, rejuvenated and balanced.

"Amazing stay "
This yoga retreat is so great! Food, location and facilities top notch. The best part is the instructors, special mention to Chandrika.. her philosophy lessons are enlightening. We met really great people while there too. There's special dinner about once a week. For NYE, we did a ceremony where we threw some old habits to give up in the new year into a fire pit, which was pretty cool. Will remember Preksha as a once in a lifetime experience.

Had an amazing few days at Preksha Yoga, enjoying the peace and quiet of the premises, the lovely yoga practice and philosophy classes, and the nourishing healthy food. I can certainly recommend this to anyone, from yoga beginners to advanced practitioners: the classes including the meditation sessions gave me a lot of new insights, even after many years of practice. This is the perfect place to relax, detox, while still enjoying the proximity to the village and the beach.

Other then the comfortable rooms, the food, the kindness of the staff and good energy. The foundation I received through philosophy class and meditation. Sessions through intense to light yoga classes, I have found the meaning of yoga in it's most pure form. This gave me a n understanding of why I am doing yoga to begin with. Going to different drop on yoga classes might excite me for it's new but this retreat gave me the essence of the connection between yoga a d mindfulness, clear mind through meditation to a healthy body through practice of asanas. I can highly recommend for those who want to understand why they are attracted to yoga. I miss my teachers who gave me so much knowledge and kindness. can't wait to come back :)

"Not only a great value but an amazing experience!"
Loved my week at Preksha! The room was simple but so clean and the best room I've had during my time in India. The staff were super friendly the food was amazing!!! Loved the schedule of yoga, meditation, meals, and even options to pay for massages on site. Great location as it is close to the beach and freedom to wander around if you want. Loved the instructors too (Chandrika, Anjali and Vinod). Also Tipu is the friendliest dog I've ever met in India. Would definitely recommend for someone who has never experienced a yoga/meditation retreat as it is very non-intimidating.

"Exceeded all our expectations "
We would seriously recommend this place to anyone wanting an incredible yoga experience. We stayed for 5 days at this amazing place. The instructors are all super friendly, helpful and always there if you need to talk. There is a positive energy between everyone. We felt super supported and in a family environment. The food is very healthy and tasty. We especially loved the variety in the lessons. Not one class is the same. They are very creative with the lessons. You will have yoga at the beach, meditation on the hill which really adds to the experience. Definitely try the massages too! It is very well located, 10 minute walk from the beach, nice little shopping street, delicious restaurants and cafés closeby.

My friend and I ended up extending our stay an extra 4 days at Preksha because we just loved it so much.
The yoga instructors are wonderful, knowledgeable and warm. The food was so delicious! We enjoyed every meal.
And we got a great sense of inner peace at the end of stay at Preksha from the beautiful meditation and yoga classes. Close walk to the beach too which is nice.

When I arrived I knew nothing about yoga or meditation. I can say that I have really enjoyed this retreat.
The place is very peaceful, in the middle of nature, the accommodation is nice, very clean. The food is vegetarian and very good. Every single member of the staff is very nice, always looking to help you.
The yoga classes varied a lot during the retreat in terms of yoga style, but they were all very good. I had never done yoga before, but the classes were adapted to everyone since other students were experimented yoga enthusiasts. The teachers are so nice, so happy, it is a real pleasure to have them as teachers. You also can find some time to go to the beach to relax.
I highly recommend this retreat.

The value for money was amazing and we had the perfect balance of yoga and free time. It made the whole experience in such a beautiful location perfect. Also the teachers were so great and adaptable, for example we went to a hilltop and then another day the beach for morning yoga which was such a lovely experience and will add to my endless positive memories of this place.

Had an amazing 5 days with Preksha Yoga. As a beginner I was initially quite nervous, however the instructors were excellent in developing my understanding of a wide range of yogic principles. They are great teachers and very knowledgeable. The programme was very well organised. Accommodation and the food was great. 10 minute walk to mandrem beach and a short ride away from Arambol, which we had time to check out in between lessons. Very relaxing atmosphere which was difficult to leave.

Wow what a lovely yoga stay . Teachers were fabulous ( Katie and her husband)took time with you individually to explain and demonstrate really helpful. The accommodation is excellent so so clean the grounds are kept beautifully as well . As for the program you can do as much and as little as you like . The food is outstanding the chef Deepak is so abliging 😀. Sid the office manager so very helpful and always on hand to help with any questions. The owner Patrick is always around for help and guidance this has been a lovely experience for me at your yoga retreat. All the staff at this establishment are so happy to help and make your stay enjoyable 😃. I will return. The beach is ten minutes walk away . THANK YOU ALL 🙏🏻😃

Ich habe 8 Tage am Blissretreat teilgenommen bevor ich nach Hause geflogen bin und dass war die beste Entscheidung auf meiner zweimonatigen Reise!
Dieser Ort ist magisch, er strahlt so viel Ruhe aus und es ist leicht sich wieder mit sich selber zu verbinden und in den Einklang mit seinem Körper, Geist und Seele zu kommen!
Die Lehrer sind super, sie korrigieren in den asanas und führen einen verbal gut in die Position!
Das Personal ist unglaublich hilfsbereit und versucht auf jede Frage mit Rat und Tat zur Seite zu stehen und hat immer ein Lächeln zum teilen!
Die Philosophiestunden waren mit eines meiner Highlights super informativ! Und noch einmal ein riesen Lob an die Küche, das Essen ist super rein und sehr bekömmlich! Es ist perfekt um den Körper zu nähren und bei dem Prozess der inneren Reise zu unterstützen (da es nicht schwer im Magen liegt).
Der Ort Mandrem ist so fried voll und ruhig! Zum Strand sind es ca. 10 min zum Fuß unterwegs kommt man an ein paar Shops vorbei ;)!
Ich kann dieses retreat zu 150 % weiter empfehlen!!!

Chandrika es una instructora excelente, ojalá pueda volver y hacer más días porque es una joya. Todo el personal es amable y de una calidad humana excepcional. A big thank you to yogi madhav, who was my Yoga teacher while i was staying in the ashram. He is the embodyment of true Yoga! For me it was very simple to follow his instructions. I felt so motivated and happy for every session with him.
Dr. Bandekar is also excellent in his field!

The accommodation is well equipped for a very affordable price.
The whole staff is so nice, very helpful and will do anything they can to make you feel comfortable.
I also had the chance to do the Detox program, which is very good and beneficial. The Doctor very professional and efficient.

"Perfect place for Yoga retreat"
The place was calm and peaceful. The accomodation was clean and everything I needed was equipd. Yogi Madhav was professional and the morning meditation made my stress release. The Yoga Ashram was not located by Mandrem beach (about 10min walk), but it was very nice for me because the around the beach was busy and noisy.

Er hangt een heerlijke rustige vibe. We hadden dit on the go geboekt, een yoga retreat stond niet op de planning. Maar zo blij dat we preksha yoga hebben ontdekt! Mogelijkheid tot twee keer per dag meditatie en twee keer per dag yoga. Wij zijn beginners en kregen goede uitleg, maar kreeg tegelijkertijd de indruk dat het niet te makkelijk was voor gevorderden. Dus voor elk niveau een goede les. We zijn (helaas) maar 4 dagen geweest, maar hebben veel geleerd. De rust en het gezonde lekkere eten kwamen als geroepen na 4 weken hectisch India. Verder waren de bedden comfortabel, de badkamer schoon en was er warm water om te douchen.
