Come and join us as you dive into the spirit of yoga during this empowering, experiential and integrative 5-week yoga teacher training in Chiang Mai. Let yourself be guided by the supportive community as you unveil the yoga teacher that already resides within you. Week by week you will learn new skills, integrate them in your practice and build up the confidence to uncover your unique offering as a teacher.

The last week of the training, we will treat ourselves to a week in Mala Dara, a beautiful resort with a swimming pool, surrounded by nature, rice paddies, green hills, near a small Thai village. This oasis of abundance of yummy veggie food, tastefully decorated accommodation and hot springs will be the perfect way to celebrate our journey and deepen our practice of yoga, together.

Pranaya is a registerd yoga school with Yoga Alliance at the 200-hour level. In this course, the journey will begin in the heart of Chiang Mai's "old city" at the Wild Rose Yoga Studio and finish with a 6-day residential stay at Mala Dara, a beautiful retreat center located in a traditional Thai village surrounded by rice fields, salt water pool, mostly organic restaurant and nearby hot springs.

The curriculum covers all the content required for you to obtain a Yoga Alliance Certification at the 200-hour level (RYT200), as well as extracurricular subjects and activities.

The training is from Monday to Friday for 5 weeks, plus an occasional half day on Saturday.

Daily schedule

  • Laurence Gilliot

    Laurence is a natural teacher and facilitator. With a dedicated practice to yoga with a wide variety of styles and gifted teachers, Laurence sees yoga as a journey home, reconnecting you to the deepest parts of yourself, with your breath, humour, and self-love as travel companions. Her classes embrace a variety of traditions: Anusara, Vinyasa, Restorative yoga, Ayurveda, and yoga Philosophy. Her alignment cues and intelligent sequencing help her students to safely deepen their practice.

  • Rosemary Bolivar

    Rose has dedicated nearly 10 years to promoting yoga and yoga teachers globally. She was inspired by how yoga can bring us back into balance and connection. She believes that through dedicated intelligent study, continual practice and finding what truly resonates with our own individual authentic expressions, we become more fully connected to sharing with others on the mat and into our daily lives. Rose believes that yoga is not only based on principles and theories but is inclusive of intrinsic intelligence of the body, breath and essence in authentic action.

  • Gernot Huber

    In his teaching and in his personal practice, Gernot focuses on fully embodying every pose through a breath-centered approach that balances body and mind, precision and creativity, introspection and bliss. He skillfully integrates down-to-earth discussions of alignment, anatomy, and awareness to convey the key concepts of yogic philosophy with clarity and humor to practitioners of all levels, helping you create a more balanced practice by emphasizing the transformative power of yoga on the mind as well as the body.

  • Lek Kittikunadul

    Lek was born and raised in Bangkok. His teaching is focused on body awareness and deep stretches of joints, ligaments, fascias and the flow of Qi in the body. In his classes, he shares with his students some physiology and anatomy of connective tissues knowledge. He also incorporates philosophy, spiritualism, energy work, subconscious and Traditional Chinese Medicine into his teaching.

The first 4 weeks of your journey will take place at Wild Rose Yoga studio, in the heart of the old city of Chiang Mai. Tucked away in a small and authentically Thai neighborhood, near the Chiang Mai Gate market, Wild Rose is located in an antique Chinese teak house, with a lush urban garden.

Wild Rose is way more than just a studio. As you step into the space, all your senses are wide open: beautiful fragrance, poetry, flowers, etc. You can taste the love and devotion for the space. At its heart is a vibrant community of yogis and yoginis that come together to support each other on the path of yoga.

The location of Wild Rose, in the center of Chiang Mai, is ideal to find accommodation and meals according to your budget and needs. There are plenty of guesthouses and places to eat, both vegetarian and vegan, at walking distance.
