This guesthouse is with its generous antique furnished rooms, a perfect place for people who are looking for relaxation and stillness, a place for people who are longing for something unusual.
It is magical place of beauty, stillness and peace, where you can stop the world and be inspired by the magic of Bali. If you are looking for a special place where you can experience a personal shift and a time to reflect and transform, or maybe just an opportunity to read, write, or spoil yourself through rejuvenating arts. Here you will find endless space to inhale, breathe deeply, and absorb the unlimited expanse of the sea, to dream under palm trees and just be.
Prana Veda means in Sanskrit the wisdom of life energies. Prana Veda Sanctuary is guided by a therapist (physio-, psycho-, yoga and Ayurvedic therapist) deeply from her heart. Aqua healing, yoga, meditation, energy work and Ayurveda can be the accompaniment to your holistic well-being. In the spa, guests can be pampered with different treatments. Prana Vedas highly appreciated food is a synthesis of health aspects and indulgence.
In the heart of this sanctuary is a therapy watsu pool (with its 35 degree warm water), which serves for aquatic body work. Aqua Healing is using the healing power of the water for an inner journey into yourself - a deep experience to enjoy drifting, floating, freedom and surrender in weightlessness.
Prana Veda Sanctuary is a uniquely beautiful and protected space for a holiday retreat. It is wonderful for singles and couples, people who are on a conscious pathway, small seminars, romantic holidays, or family meetings and special events.
Daily Yoga and meditation classes in small groups are included in the retreat weeks. Beginners and advanced practitioners are welcome. The yoga instructors teach Hatha yoga influenced by traditional yoga styles, Vinyasa flow, therapeutical and Yin yoga. The morning yoga sessions are adapted to the individual needs of the participants, combining physical postures and movement with guided breathing and meditation. In the afternoon sessions you will practice Restorative/Yin Yoga as well as different kinds of meditations: guided and silent meditations, breathing meditations, aquatic floating meditations as well as movement and dancing meditations in the open.
During the yoga holiday week, there is enough time to relax, swim or snorkel and you can explore the island with its unique culture and natural beauty.
The retreat week can be booked as a Detox Program (additional surcharge of 100 EUR).
Prana Veda Bali Sanctuary is located on the north coast of Bali directly on a wide beachfront on the Indian Ocean, in Bondalem - Tejakula. Far away from the main tourist stream, where you still find the island of the Gods in its traditional, spiritual and magical variety. It is in the middle of an exotic garden, an oasis with tropical fruits, flowers and coconut trees.
Prana Vedas highly appreciated organic food and delicious dishes, as well as the sharing of meals in a community, contribute to the overall wellbeing and contentment of their guests. Their tasty food is prepared with herbs, salads, vegetables and tropical fruits partly from their own organic garden and from the local market. It is a synthesis of health aspects and indulgence.
All their food is prepared in a healthy way and their salads are washed in purified water. They have homemade yogurt and jam from our tropical fruits, home-baked bread and fresh fish directly from the fishermen. On request, they can prepare Ayurvedic health food according to your needs.
Your meals can be served on your private terrace or in the restaurant - a Balinese Bale - by the pool and ocean. We serve Western or Ayurvedic breakfast, and for lunch and dinner, you will be treated with delicious traditional Balinese, Thai and Italian dishes.
You can order special coffees, cakes, and fresh juices from fruits, vegetables, and healing herbs. Mineral water, a variety of teas, Bali coffee and fruits are included in the room price.
You can book the Retreat Weeks also as Detox Weeks. A detox program supports the cleansing of the organs such as liver, intestines, and kidneys, eliminates excessive acids and toxins from the system and stimulates the metabolism.
It is like a “house-cleaning” of the body. Detox, a gentle detoxification, and cleansing from inside brings back the balance between body, mind, and soul and thus energy and well-being. It develops mental strength, clears emotions, creates sensitivity and leads to inner truth and clarity.
During the detox program, highly acidic food such as alcohol, coffee, sugar or meat and fried food is set aside. We offer detox teas during the whole day, once a day oil pulling, a fresh coconut and Jammu shots with turmeric for internal cleansing.
On Sunday there will be an introduction into detox and Monday is a preparatory day for healthy food like fruit, smoothies, steamed vegetables or Kitcheree (Ayurvedic rice and lentil dish). From Tuesday until Friday, Prana Veda Bali Sanctuary serves fruit and vegetable smoothies for breakfast and upon request rice porridge with steamed fruit. For lunch, there will be fresh coconut water and upon request Kitcheree or vegetable soups.
In the evening we serve steamed vegetables and upon request fresh fish. Saturday is a build-up day with the same food like on Monday. Surcharge for the Detox week is 100 EUR.
Tourists are very welcome to join ceremonies such as full moon ceremonies, birth ceremonies, weddings and cremations. By joining these events, you can get in touch with the locals and get insights into the Hindu beliefs and traditions of the Island. During these ceremonies, you are requested to wear a sarong (a wrap-around skirt - also for men!), a shawl around the waist and a shirt or blouse that covers the shoulders. These clothes are also requested for temple visits. Pictures can be taken during ceremonies, except during blessings. Flashlight should be avoided during temple ceremonies. Usually, the Balinese are willing to be photographed, but it is a sign of respect to ask them beforehand. Children especially are happy, if you show them their picture on the camera display.
