The beautiful Kalani Oceanside Retreat on the Big Island of Hawaii is this training's paradisiacal setting. The private and secluded resort is located near the town of Pahoa, and is just a short walk to a astounding nearby black sand beach. You will have the unique opportunity to take your yoga teacher training here while getting to experience Hawaiian culture and practice yoga as it was meant to, surrounded by nature.
The lodge rooms are housed in three two-level lodges or Hales (pronounced Ha'-lay, Hawaiian for "house") and have several rooms on each floor with access to common areas on both levels. The lodges are on the central lawn close to the Dining Lanai. Triple, double, and single occupancy rooms are available. Rooms are approximately 200 square feet with twin, queen, or king beds, shared or private bath, fan, and a garden vista.
This is a sample daily schedule to give you an idea of the program hours Monday through Friday. Classes are seven days a week, you will have additional free time on Saturday and Sunday.

Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 (Yoga)
Troy is a 500-hour experienced registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance. He has attended many teacher trainings to achieve this certification, such as a 200-hour interdisciplinary yoga teacher training which explored many styles of yoga and 100-hour trainings, including yoga massage, hot power fusion, yoga sculpt, children's yoga, and inner quest of the yoga educator. He is currently based on the island of Oahu in Hawaii and has traveled and taught yoga to adults and children in many locations outside the United States, including Costa Rica, Norway, and Thailand.
This training takes place at Kalani Oceansice Retreat on the Big Island of Hawaii, near Pahoa. Kalani is a nonprofit educational retreat center and eco-community in Hawaii's Puna District. Its 120-acre campus and surrounding district are preserved through sustainable education programs and hands-on community participation. Local snorkeling spots, waterfalls, the Volcanoes National Park, and other activities are all within driving distance of this spectacular coastal location.

Daily vegetarian meals are served in the beautiful open-air restaurant at this retreat. Tea, filtered water, and snacks are also available throughout the day.
