After successful completion of this course, students will receive the Yoga Alliance recognized 200-hour yoga teacher training certificate and 30-hour holistic studies certificate (Yoga Alliance continuing education).This course is a harmonious blend of two ancient systems of health: yoga and Ayuveda.

Rooms available with a peaceful street position between Arambol Beach and Kerim Beach of North Goa.

There are 5 rooms in Eco Farm located on the bank of Terekhol River at Kiranpani of Paliem village in North Goa. It is a beautifully constructed house with adequate amenities to make your stay easy and comfortable.

The living is easy in this impressive, generously proportioned contemporary residence with River, Hills and ocean views. The floor plan encompasses five spacious bedrooms with plenty of room for study, sleep and storage, 5 bathrooms, and a common front patio to gather fresh air and enjoy the breathtaking view over the surrounding area.

Additional accommodation facilities are available at Apartments or Beach Resorts in Arambol Beach Area.

Teaching methodology

Week 1-2

  • Theory of yoga therapy and yoga philosophy.
  • Yoga philosophy as the seed of human wellness and mental and physical human recovery.
  • Applied yoga philosophy. How to weave yoga philosophy into yoga classes and yoga therapy programs for clients.
  • Using yoga philosophy as complimentary medicine.
  • How to use yoga philosophy for wellness coaching and mindfulness client programs.
  • Philosophy of Ayurveda and deep connection between yoga therapy and Ayurveda.
  • Study of asanas. Asanas deconstructed - alignment, variations, asana dos and don’ts, adjustments of asanas to each persons’ needs.
  • Applied anatomy and physiology. Muscles, tissues, fascia, skeleton, circulatory system, lymphatic system, nervous system, immune system, digestive system.
  • Learning how to use the knowledge of anatomy and physiology in the design of personalized yoga programs for the self and clients.
  • Subtle yogic anatomy. Energy channels Nadis and energy centres charkas. Connection of the subtle yogic anatomy to modern anatomy and science.
  • Application of the system of chakras in healing of emotional imbalances and mental disharmonies.
  • Creation of a personal yoga practice - Sadhana.
  • Creation of a balanced personal practice for different types of people (clients) with different requirements, needs, and Doshas.
  • Design and practice of asana and breath flows and sequences.
  • Design and practice of guided relaxation sessions.
  • Learning to select the right tools within the system of Yoga for each person according to their needs.
  • Learning how to engage clients in their own healing process.
  • Learning how to recommend yoga therapies to clients.

Week 3

  • Design of a yoga therapy program for a client.
  • Designing yoga sessions for different Doshas applying philosophy of Ayurveda.
  • Designing and teaching intermediate and beginner level group yoga classes.
  • Ayurvedic philosophy - Five elements, Gunas, and Doshas.
  • Ayurvedic approach to physiology - Dhatus.
  • Ayurvedic approach to wellbeing and health - Ojas and Ama.
  • Ayurvedic approach to digestion - Agni.
  • Learning how to weave Ayurvedic philosophy and preventative Ayurvedic medicine into yoga classes and programs.

Week 4

  • Ayurveda studies.
  • Real patient case studies.
  • Basics of Panchakarma - the system of deep Ayurvedic detoxification and healing.
  • Practicing Panchkarma on oneself (according to each student’spersonal constitution).
  • Learning and practicing most common basic Ayurvedic therapies.
  • Making treatment plans, diet plans, and lifestyle change plans.
  • Learning Ayurvedic cooking and how to use spices as medicine.
  • Learning how to prepare basic Ayurvedic herbal remedies.

Daily schedule

  • 06:00 - 07:30 Morning yoga and meditation practice
  • 08:00 - 09:00 Breakfast
  • 09:30 - 12:30 Yoga and Ayurveda studies
  • 12:30 - 15:00 Lunch, study time, and free time to rest
  • 15:00 - 18:00 Yoga and Ayurveda studies
  • 18:00 - 19:00 Evening yoga practice
  • 19:00 - 20:00 Dinner
  • 20:00 - 21:00 Electives/personal time/study time/relaxation (discussions, mantra, meditation)
