Yoga Sādhanā is a subtle experiential process of transformation that awakens new levels of consciousness within revealing your essence. Whatever you are holding, carrying, or feeling, Paros Yoga Shalla invites you to bring it all. Every emotion is fuel for the practices of Yoga Rasa. You use them to nourish your deeper intentions. So, turn inward together and call to your infinite capacity of love, grace, fierceness, and grace.
Yoga is a window into the clarity so many of you are craving during this time. The practices of Yoga Rasa Sadhana are the practices of loving what is, embracing it fully - even if your impulse toward it is one of aversion - and transmuting it - grief, ugliness, passion, grasping, joy - into a force for the presence and being with what is.
Sādhanā literally is a means of accomplishing something, coming from the yogic tradition. It refers to a spiritual practice that is aimed at progressing the sādhaka towards the very ultimate expression of his or her life in this reality through living practices, self-knowledge, surrender, activities such as meditation, yoga, chanting, mantra and pranayama, and more. It is a process of transmission of yogic tools to improve your lifestyle and access higher dimensions of living.
Rasa is a Sanskrit term meaning 'essence' or 'fluid'. In the spiritual tradition, this term refers to the essence of human experience, the emotions that govern human life. The Tantric system identifies nine basic human emotions. In the practice of yoga, however, only three of these rasas are considered to be fundamental: the vira rasa (refers to the power of controlling the breath, mind, and body), the shanti rasa (refers to the serenity of equilibrium), and the sringara rasa (refers to the spiritual and physical unity achieved through yoga).
Yoga Rasa is a rejuvenating fluid movement, Yin Vinyasa practice. A slow, cooling, and watery flow that induces focus inward and unwinding. A Krama sequencing of meditative movements guided by the long, deep breathing. You allow the body to flow intuitively, encouraging natural movement - slow, relaxing, cooling, and rejuvenating. A practice of embodiment, the perfect complement to the dynamic practices. It stimulates and heals the deeper connective tissues.
It nurtures the deeper levels of the body and mind the ligaments, fascia, joints, and bones and balances the energetic channels, nervous system, and circulatory system. A healing practice, characterized by its lunar nature, and the long-held Hatha yoga asanas, which gives time for a deeper journey to unfold into the meditative aspects of yoga revealing your essence and bliss body. A bridge to living life consciously. Inherent bio-energetic alignment, pranayama, and meditation are integrated within the practice. Free flow is indispensable to balance your practice.
What you, conscious women, want is a limitless inspiration. You want to become and create your life the way you want it to be to experience life blissfully within yourselves. In this yoga retreat, you are going to transform your inner experience of life. You will learn the lifestyle tools and yoga practices that are necessary to live in balance, to unveil your essence. Experience inner and outer alignment and energetic flow from within. Learn how and what to practice and the purpose and principles that support the process of balancing.
This retreat is a very subtle process of self-transformation. It is an experiential process: something you experience and make it part of yourself. A course to inspire you to develop physical strength and flexibility, vitality, inner harmony, mental clarity, emotional balance, and overall renewal. The intention is that by practicing yoga and being committed to these mindful practices - doing the deep work that is necessary on yourselves.
You may develop the empathy necessary to go out to the world and be more loving, more truthful, and more integrated human beings. To begin to expand your perspective and understanding in a way, perhaps you had not been able to realize before. Wherever you are at, the invitation is just to simply breathe and be present with your experience to open into something else, into something new. Then this practice will allow you to step into the next aspect of your own exploration.
These practices are meant to help you to feel better about who you are, to release the tension, to open yourselves up to a greater possibility, to understand, love who you are, and to connect to the innate divine that already resides within yourselves. This practice is designed to meet you where you are now. For some of you, your interest might be getting stronger and more flexible, and in that case, there is value in this practice for you.
If your interest is to understand a little bit more about the mind and body connection and the impact that your thoughts have on your health and wellness, then there is the aspect of this practice that will meet that particular need. If your interest is to move into a deeper level of emotional healing and to even open yourself to a more committed and connected relationship with spirit, there are also aspects of this practice that will speak to you.
