The program starts off with a strong focus on your own practice of pranayama, meditation, asana and chanting. The physical classes are alternated with philosophical approaches that will open our understanding of the nature of our minds, and how we can make our lives more purposeful. In order to better understand the profound meaning of these practices we will also learn about the effects of silence immersion throughout the day. Only in silence can we go deep within and start to listen, and observe, our body, mind and actions. This period is devoted to purifying our physical and mental bodies.

Depth and understanding

The focus of the second half of the training consists in a deep studying and understanding of the Yoga practice which we ultimately want to share. Deep understanding and awareness both enriches your own daily practice and will create a fertile soil for your own unique teaching foundations and ensure a successful and enriching process.

Practice your way to perfection

Located in the northern Indian state of Himichal Pradesh, Dharamsala received little attention from the outside world for most of its history. Things changed when in 1959, the Dalai Lama of Tibet accepted Indian Prime Minister Nehru's offer to use this area as a base of operations for the Tibetan Government in Exile. Since that time, a steady flow of Tibetans have crossed the Himalayas and made their way here in search of freedom and being close to their much revered leader. His presence, and the appeal of Tibetans and their colorful culture have drawn tourists to this town from all over the world.

Theres something different about this community. Perhaps, it is the extent to which travelers can become part of the community. Whether it is teaching English to newly arrived monks or nuns from Tibet, studying Buddhism or yoga at one of the retreat centers, or volunteering at one of the Tibetan organizations here, there is an abundance of ways to feel connected to this place and its people.
