Paramatma is a Sanskrit word that refers to the residence of the Divine within our hearts. When we understand the heart of yoga in this way, we understand yoga is really about relationships: our relationship with our physical body, our breath, our energy body, our mental and emotional self, our spirit, our radiant soul, the Earth, other living beings, the cosmic and Divine realms. Through the experiential study of yoga, our programs guide students through a profound exploration of self.
Our immersive, residential programs emphasize the importance of kula (tribe) in offering safe and supportive environments for intensive self-inquiry. We believe yoga is a powerful medium for self-realization through wound work (re-writing your personal relationship with your insecurities and fears) and discovery of your soul-gifts (embodying your innate passions).
In the womb of the earth, we honor our sacred hearts and step into our role as healers. Our program integrates intuitive movement, Reiki healing, sound therapy, kirtan, fire ceremony, earth medicine, and guided meditation to help you deepen your practice and realize your innate powers as a space-holder.
We follow the cycles of the moon and honor the Triple Goddess in this Divine Feminine immersion. Over 29 days, participants will embody a full-time yogic lifestyle with daily sadhana, instruction, and experiential learning of a variety of healing practices.
At Paramatma Yoga, we take a heart-centered approach to self-realization. Our teachers have traveled far and wide to train in ancient healing practices from all over the world and have compiled it all into one cohesive training to share the healing!

Sach’a Munay, which translates as “love from the ancient forest”, is nestled in an oasis of native plants and fruit trees and is nourished by a magnificent waterfall. It is a place to connect to the incredible depth and beauty of what nature offers.
The Sacred Valley of Peru, where we are located, is a lovely spot in the Andes Mountains and home of the twelve mountains known as “apus” or “luminous beings” who are said to intercede on behalf of people. Those who come to our center have the opportunity to commune directly with these mountains, as well as with the local curanderos and pacos (healers), who engage with us for rituals and ceremonies. We believe our world today benefits greatly from contact with these ancient sites and ways.
We have a heart-felt mission to create a fabulous, nourishing environment in which to experience this special place as well as the retreat you have come here to do. To this end, our programs range from yoga and other practices; to personal healing and reflection; to practical workshops on permaculture.
Our guests at Sach’a Munay Retreat and Yoga Center are served delicious meals with locally-grown and lovingly prepared ingredients. Each guest room is a reflection of the Peruvian culture of the Sacred Valley. Thanks to our staff, the entire center embodies the kindness, love, and wholeness that seem to permeate this magical place. As a Peruvian NGO, profits from the retreat and yoga center go to fund local projects.
We have three all-inclusive pricing packages. You may choose between triple, double, or single accommodation. All rooms have shared bathrooms. Within Sach'a Munay, we will be staying in La Hacienda which is a private house just for guests of our program. We have access to our own private sauna and massage room, as well as courtyard and yoga shala. Wi-Fi is provided free of charge.
Our summer immersion includes a "field trip" to local sacred waters for ritualistic blessing and purification. Our program focuses heavily on conscious evolution and personal growth, not just as a yoga teacher, but also as a yoga practitioner and human being.
We have a maiden, mother, and crone module that may be taken individually for continuing education hours or the entire course may be taken as a Yoga Alliance accredited 200-hour YTT. We teach guided meditation, kirtan, sound healing, chanting, and yoga philosophy as integral parts of yoga practice.
