Certification

Students who complete the training are eligible to register with Yoga Alliance as Registered Yoga Teachers (RYT®).

Awards

Along with the above, a "Certificate of Par Excellence" (like a gold medal) is also awarded to (overall) the best-performing students

Upon completion of the 200-hour YTT, a certified yoga teacher gains the expertise to impart the fundamentals of yoga, fostering the advancement of yoga, promoting health and wellness, and facilitating yoga practices and classes, etc.

Objective, what to expect, and benefits

Within the framework of the 200-hour YTT, participants gain a fundamental grasp of yoga, prayers, Sukshama Vyayam, asana, pranayama, and meditation. This training serves as a voyage to delve into and illuminate the core rudiments of yoga.

Prospective instructors are tasked with nurturing effective communication skills, mastering the intricacies of time management, and developing the acumen to decipher their students’ nonverbal cues.

This pursuit necessitates the embodiment of indispensable qualities encompassing self-discipline, unwavering confidence, seasoned maturity, enduring patience, profound compassion, active listening, adept time management, empathetic understanding, and proficient language aptitude.

  • Eligibility: Suggested/desired that the candidate should have passed 10th standard/secondary school.
  • Age: No age limit
  • Medium of teaching: English (Sometimes, some words of Sanskrit from ancient yoga texts are also taught.)

Type of yoga

It is often misleading that certain branded yoga is complete yoga. Certain brands could be for marketing purposes or to teach only a certain style of yoga asana sequence may not be a complete yoga. The yoga type for this YTT is "Traditional yoga" which, in a deeper sense, is a complete and authentic yoga derived from ancient yoga scriptures as old as 10,000 years in Sanskrit, taught in English.

The teaching involves the introduction of various branches of yoga like Ashtanga, Hatha, Kriya, Gyan, Vinyasa, etc. They teach basic secrets from these scriptures which cover physical, mental, emotional, and energy levels.
