"Hidden away from traffic and crowds - in fact, a bit of a challenge to find - BUT WORTH FINDING! In so many ways worth it."

"An open air lobby/dining room - gracious and friendly. Excellent food - be specific about quantity desired. And Khmer food - WOW. They do a GREAT job. Takes time, worth the wait."

"The setting is a little piece of paradise you'd NEVER expect to be there. Beautifully maintained gardens and pool - obvious they care about the compound."

"Our room was amazing - like an air-conditioned local room - highly polished plank floors, split bamboo walls, woven split bamboo ceiling. Bathroom was mixed local and modern euro style, with regular shower, and a long deep bathtub that appeared carved from a single piece of stone! Small porch and sitting area, with privacy afforded by plants."

"Pool was refreshing, with shaded lounges. LOTS of spa amenities available."

"Close to Angkor Wat and Angkor Thom, removed from downtown (thank goodness). A resident "tuk tuk" will take you there for a reasonable price if you desire."

"Downside - wi-fi only in common area, and not all that powerful. They're upgrading it, though."

"It isn't your high-rise cracker box hotel. It's better! Homey, personable, gorgeous. Difficult to hold back the superlatives. Palm Village was the highlight hotel of our trip."

"We moved to Palm Village from a place in downtown Siem Reap as we wanted to cycle round Angkor Wat and Palm Villa lies just 4 km from Angkor Wat itself. They offer bicycles, slightly rickety ones but fit for purpose! The bungalows are lovely, bamboo interiors and clean fresh bathrooms. They are set separately down paths within a gorgeous quiet garden. The food is good and seemed to be available whenever we asked for it. The manageress is efficient and breakfasts are good. Couldn't fault this place, it was perfect for us. The best place we stayed in South East Asia."

"We really enjoyed our stay at Palm Village. It is one of the closest resorts to the temples, even though it's a little outside of town. They helped us arrange all transportation, including a free ride from the airport and all of our "tuktuks" for the temple visits and into town. We got free, delicious breakfast every morning and enjoyed the dinner we had there as well. We didn't take advantage of the on-site spa for lack of time, but definitely considered it because the prices were pretty reasonable. "

"The bungalows are awesome. They're all bamboo inside, except for the tiled bathroom which had a rainfall shower and this amazing stone tub. I will say, the bathroom was unusually warm compared to the air-conditioned bedroom, but it didn't bother us too much. "

"One of the most welcomed features for us was the ceiling fan! The small units they have all over Cambodia are okay, but having the fan as well made a huge difference in 100+ degree heat. My only complaint about the bedroom was the pillows - a little stiff. "

"Lastly, the staff was fantastic. They were so polite and friendly, and were willing to help us in any way!"
