During this retreat, you will stay at Palace Gokbel, Turkey. Palace Gokbel is a bespoke yoga retreat, nestled in a mountain, surrounded by natural pine forests and olive trees. The architecture of the building took inspiration from India, the home of yoga. The roof terrace has been dedicated to the practice of yoga as it is a vast space with incredible views.

There are three twin rooms, two double rooms, and one single room with a small double bed. The twin rooms have beds that can be pushed together for couples. All rooms are air-conditioned and come with a luxury shower room, complimentary toiletries, and television, their own patio doors onto a marble terrace. The view can be appreciated from all guest rooms, the pool area, seating area, and outdoor restaurant. You can experience the most beautiful sunsets over turtle beach, the lake, and mountain ranges.

All rooms have bespoke decor, creating a boutique hotel feel, yet relaxing and homely. No leather or feather pillows are used, keeping everything vegan friendly. Tea and coffee facilities are located near the Buddha room, underneath the arches whilst the hanuman room has its own tea and coffee making facilities. Palace Gökbel can accommodate nine to ten guests at any one time ensuring the experience is both intimate and free from overcrowding.

The Rose Pool, is a natural pool, with two waterfalls. Using over 60 tons of natural spring water to fill it. It's a 28-meter long leisure pool, with places to both sit in the water and swim. There is an outdoor shower and sunbed area, with enough space for everyone.

The ancient olive garden, makes the most wonderful meditation space, with rocks to perch on and hammocks the lay in. The olives are used to make delicious olive oil, which is used in the cooking on the retreat.

Loraines picnic area is a more casual setting for brunch, shaded by a giant pine, nice and cool after morning yoga is over.

The Lotus lounge, is an outdoor comfy space, using upcycled Turkish furniture. You'll find a help-yourself tea and coffee area, as well as many books, games, and toiletries, including sunscreen.

The Chardonnay Terrace is a beautiful little garden area, where dinner is served in front of the setting sun over Iztuzu Beach. The perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and some original tasty vegan food.

There is a washing line where guests are free to hang their wet yoga clothes and pool towels. There is no washing facility at the retreat for guests.

Retreat location

The retreat is located in a small seaside village and sits up on a mountain within a pine forest. Gokbel is a protected area, which means it's set back from the beach to help it remain unspoiled and peaceful for the nesting turtles. To stay at Palace Gokbel is a special experience in this area, as much of it remains natural and untouched. If you really do want to get away it's perfect, if you want to hire a car to visit the area then that's easy too. It has the best of both worlds.

Being just 6 kilometers from Dalyan Town center, 5 kilometers from turtle (Iztuzu) beach, and 30 minutes (20 kilometers) from Dalaman Airport (DLM). Palace Gökbel is a small exclusive retreat, located in the traditional Turkish village of Gökbel which overlooks Turtle Beach, the lake, and the Dalyan Delta mountain ranges. Palace Gökbel is a privately owned place with a committed husband and wife team who try and make your stay as relaxing as possible.

Dalyan town is blessed with many geographical attractions you can explore, including the Lycian Rock Tombs, Lake Koycegiz, the ruins of Caunos, the mud baths, and natural sulfur springs.

Gökbel is also famous for turtle beach, a protected area, where the Carretta turtles come to lay their eggs. The beach itself is sandy with shallow warm waters and is just five kilometers away from the retreat. Another beautiful cove close to the retreat is Asi beach with rougher turquoise waters and a cafe overlooking the bay.
