Paje by night is located 100 meters inside of the beach. They have 19 bungalows overlooking the garden, a bar and a restaurant, a swimming pool, a kite-surfing school and a yoga school. They also have a detached facility on the beach, called The Beach House, that hosts Paje by Kite (the kite center) and the beach bar which offers sunbeds, coffees, cocktails, winery, Italian gelato, snacks, tapas, and big salads. The Beach House is approximately 250 meters far from the hotel.

Paje by Kite, the first and legendary kite school of Paje, offers kite courses and lessons, rentals, kite lockers, washing facilities, a launch area, and a kite shop. They hope you will enjoy and have an amazing time with them.


In the morning, from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., you will join your Ashtanga-Vinyasa yoga classes and take advantage of the knowledge and professionalism of their in-house yoga teacher. Classes are scheduled every day except on arrival day, on departure day, and on Sundays. The breakfast always occurs after the yoga class.

Kitesurfing is tides wind-dependent so it is not really possible to create a precise daily schedule. The one-on-one clinic kite surfing lessons will occur at some time during the rest of the day. Each session typically lasts two hours for a total of six hours possibly spread over five days.

In case that kitesurfing conditions are better in the evening you can agree with your teacher to change your yoga class and drop in the evening class instead of the morning one.

Yoga takes place in the studio located in the hotel’s garden. A quiet and refreshing place where to practice. Sometimes we give a lesson at the sea-front open-air terrace at The Beach House. Such a lesson will typically occur very early in the morning on a non-windy day.

The rest of the day is entirely up to you, you can spend it relaxing, sunbathing, swimming, walking on the beach, hanging out in a hammock,

And still, there is time to go on excursions and explore the island.

Yoga teachers and Kite instructors come and stay on a 3 monthly basis.

Since Paje By Night started their Kitesurfing school in 2010 and their yoga school in 2016, they have been working with passionate teachers coming from different corners of the world to share their practice and love for yoga.

Please be aware that the teachers' and instructors' profile is one of the teachers that are in-house now. If your booking happens to be in the future, the teacher / kite instructor might be another one, rest assured it is a qualified teacher. Let them know, at the time of the booking, if you have any concerns.

Zanzibar is the largest island of the archipelago, nowadays famous for its beaches but with a turbulent and dramatic historical past of trading in spices, ivory and slaves. The capital also known as Stone Town, is one of the most interesting cities of sub-Saharan Africa, the result of the mingling of different cultures and styles, notably the Portuguese, the British, the Arab-Omani, and the Indian ones. Due to its historical importance, it has been declared UNESCO World Heritage Site

There is a vast range of things to do on the island, notably some amazing diving, snorkeling, superb historic and cultural activities. Here in Paje, they can also offer you one of the most sensational and characteristic beaches of the island and, of course, yoga and kitesurfing with professional teachers.


The menu a la carte of our Italian restaurant offers a variety of dishes to chose from, most notably organic breakfasts, fresh homemade pasta, fish and seafood responsibly fished from the ocean, healthy salads, traditional soups, and real Italian wood-fired pizzas.

All ingredients are freshly outsourced locally with the exception of those which are not available in Tanzania such as Italian cheese and Italian cured meats. At the beach bar, they serve very nice, 100% fresh fruit, sugar-free juices, and smoothies, light meals and snacks, Italian gelato.

The Bali Spa

Asih was born in Jakarta in June 1973. She is a qualified physiotherapist and a professional masseuse with 15 years of experience. If you are not sure which massage to take, after a brief talk and sensing your body she will be able to give you her suggestion or to recommend the best combination of services for you. If you are frail or stiff she will be able to adjust manipulation to your level of comfort. It’s her challenge to make you feel good, be happy, and energetic!

Face massage:

A great anti-aging skincare in itself. Stimulating the face muscles with a massage increases the level of oxygen and blood circulation in that area hence the production of collagen which gives a healthy and natural glow to the skin.

Face massage and Lurlur

If you want to get the best out of your face massage combine it with Lulur. Lulur is a traditional royal ritual done 40 days before the wedding to prepare the skin for the big night. The first step is scrubbing with rice flour, turmeric, and yogurt to exfoliate and remove the dead cells, then comes the massage and after that a mask that can be honey-based (if you want to lift your skin) or aloe vera-based (if you want to soothe it after a day in the sun). The result is baby-soft skin with an enchanting look and feel.

Sports massage

That can be a pre-event, a post-event, or a maintenance massage. Pre-event massage is done to stimulate the flow of blood and loosen the muscles. Post-event massage it’s light and gentle on already stressed muscles. It helps loosen tired, stiff muscles; alleviate soreness; remove lactic acid and maintain flexibility. Maintenance massages are done to maintain the ideal conditions. Can be performed with or without oil.


The theory behind reflexology is that specific points and areas on feet, hands, and ears are connected to specific organs and body systems. Appropriate pressure to these specific points and areas stimulates the nervous system and releases tension and stress.

Exotic Java and Bali massage

These traditional oil-based massage has been used for centuries in Indonesia. They both combine feet reflexology, deep thumb pressure, stroking, and circular kneading palm movements to break down tensely knotted muscles, stimulate the body's lymphatic system and blood circulation. While Balinese massage is stronger and rougher, the Javanese one is softer.

Ask for advice if you are not sure which one to choose. The two can also be combined to work differently on each specific area. They both deliver a sense of wellbeing and deep relaxation.

Yoga Thai massage

The Yoga Thai massage consists of slow, rhythmic compressions and stretches along the body's energy lines using the palms of the hands, thumbs, elbows, and feet. Practitioners also position the body into yoga-like poses and gently rock it to open the joints and facilitate limbering. The massage can be performed with or without oil and you will need to wear loose-fitting.

Relaxing Swedish massage

Relax your senses with a full body treatment using Zanzibar spice oils to calm your nervous system and leave you completely at peace.

Lymphatic drainage massage

This detoxifying massage uses light pressure and long, gentle, rhythmic strokes and soft pumping movements to improve the flow of lymph which brings oxygen and nutrients to the cell collecting toxins on the way and flushing them out through the lymph nodes. It helps boost the immune system, reduce water retention, clean skin pores, fight cellulite.

Deep Tissue massage

The deep tissue massage works the deeper layers of muscles and the surrounding connective tissue by applying firm pressure and slow strokes, using the palms of the hands, elbows, and forearms. It is ideal to remove blockage around painful, contracted areas such as a stiff neck, sore shoulders, upper and low back pain, legs muscles tightness. It’s done with oil.
