In this yoga retreat you will have the chance to practice yoga and to experience the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the spiritual heart of Peru. Wake up each morning at the base of majestic mountains views, steps away from a beautiful waterfall and surrounded by gardens of flowers and native herbs.
You will be accommodated at a retreat center in the Huandar Chico-Arin area in triple or double rooms, with shared or private occupancy.
Your retreat includes 7 nights accommodations at a private retreat center in the heart of the Sacred Valley, group pick up and drop off from Cusco Airport on the first and last day of the retreat, all yoga classes with Gioconda, all meals (vegetarian and vegan), and the following ceremonies and explorations:
The offering to Mother Earth (Pachamama) is part of the system of reciprocity between the spiritual world and the material world. The offerings to Mother Earth have their origin in the relationship between the millenary culture of the Q´eros and your Pachamama. The offering is a symbolic way in which the man returns and appreciates the fruits that she gives to all of us.
These sensational baths not only serve to detoxify your body, but also spiritually they are stimulating people who go through a cycle of low energy and is also use to cleanse the aura around you.
This ceremony is oriented to reconnect you with beauty, sweetness and love in yourselves, so that from that powerful center you can relate and serve. You can also join this ceremony by dancing around the fire circle.
This excursion offers you some of the most interesting Inca sites in Cusco. Start with a visit to the colonial city of Maras and its church. From there, you continue to the Inca crop circles of Moray, a magnificent series of terraces in circles that were once used by the Incas for experimentation with crops. The final destination is the salt mines that have been in use since pre-Inca times. The water from an underground stream is channeled through pools where it evaporates leaving pure salt crystals. With thousands of white pools that stretch across the valley, the views are impressive.

One of the architectural gems of the Sacred Valley of the Incas, is the archaeological site of Pisaq, is located on the slopes of a mountain, on the beautiful village of Pisaq. The ruins are 25 minutes from the town, following the path down to the mountainside.
Pisaq Market: during most of the week the colonial city of Pisaq is a quiet Andean village where locals relax in the main square or enjoy freshly baked bread in an old clay oven. Here is a popular market for tourists where you can get a variety of memories. Every Sunday the activity in the market increases and the town comes alive, attracting local people and international tourists. The main square is filled, especially after the mass, which is celebrated in the Quechua language. The congregation leaves the church in a colorful procession, guided by the Mayor holding his command rod.

A magical full day visiting the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu is an Inca citadel located in the highlands of the Andes Mountains in Peru, above the Vilcabamba River valley. It was built in the fifteenth century, and is famous for its sophisticated dry stone walls that combine huge blocks without the use of a mortar, the fascinating buildings that are related to the astronomical alignments and its panoramic views. The exact use it had remains a mystery. Includes transportation to and from the station, train tickets to and from Aguas Calientes, bus ticket up and down to the archaeological site, guide and lunch at El Indio Feliz.
Gioconda has been practicing and teaching yoga for 20 years, and is still learning something new every day. Her enthusiasm for the practice is contagious and her dedication to yoga comes through in every class. Whether you are flowing in her artfully sequenced Vinyasa classes, or moving through the layers in yin, her guidance and support keep you safe, steady and focused. In addition to years of yoga training, she also holds a Master’s Degree in Trans-personal psychology and is a somatic experiencing practitioner.
