Reasons to walk the Camino de Santiago

The physical way is one: the one you will walk, but the personal one is unique, is that you will be challenged to do and will be with you for a lifetime. It’s like living a small life in a few days, with a beginning and end, with meetings, and with good days and not so good ones. It is a way to meditate in movement.

There are many ways to walk it and lots of reasons to do it. The one Omm Retreats propose here is not the classic journey for weeks and to sleep in shelters. You will do yoga every morning and then walk about five hours every day to your next destination. You do not have to carry your backpack and you will arrive to comfortable hotels to replenish your energy. A practical way to walk and do yoga: two in one.

The program of this trip includes two hours of daily yoga and meditation. The yoga sessions are designed for everyone, from beginners to advanced. All hotels where you will be staying have a private space to practice yoga. In the morning, before breakfast, you will be in wise contact with your body, balancing the nervous system with a series of pranayama (breathing), asanas (postures), mantras, and meditation.

The techniques used depend on the day, it will generally be a mixture of Kundalini, Hatha, and Yin yoga and Samatha meditations, focused on the present moment. By doing this you will focus on the daily walking with awareness, making a full and joyful camino (way).
