    Samahita Retreat lies on the south coast of Koh Samui, a tropical island in the Gulf of Thailand that still has long stretches of pristine beaches and unspoiled land. All Samahita Retreat facilities are situated on the beach. The guestrooms are set back just over 50 meters from the sea, providing guests with a private community and greater security.

    A selection of rooms enjoys a sea view, while others look out onto tropical gardens. There are 20 single superior rooms suitable for couples and singles, as well as 12 two-level loft rooms that are ideal for families or two people sharing (if traveling alone, your roommate will be of the same gender). There are 6 semi private rooms with separate bathrooms.

    Each morning, you will greet the day with an open meditation session followed by a spring detox flow class. This will be followed by brunch. Each day, you will have a new theme and aspect of self-inquiry.

    Afternoons are the time for you to chill-out, lay in the sun, go on excursion, go for a swim, get a spa treatment or just take time for softening, repose, and reflection. Then, you will be gathered for an early evening Restorative or Yin class. Lunch and a dinner are provided afterthe morning and evening practices.

    Ayurveda and yoga help you find your true nature to control the mind and intellect and lead a healthy life. Spring is the king of seasons in Ayurveda. This is the season of Kapha Dosha (water and earth elements) where you may feel heavier than usual, congested, foggy and stiff.

    • 06:30-07:30 Morning tea, juice and light breakfast
    • 07:30-09:30 Meditation practice and yoga class (focus on Ayurveda philosophy and foundation)
    • 09:30-13:00 Brunch buffet
    • 13:00-16:00 Free time: relax by the beach, get wellness treatments at the spa or go on an excursion
    • 16:00-17:30 Yoga class
    • 18:00-20:00 Dinner buffet, steam room available or evening excursions
    • 20:00-20:30 Nidra yoga
    • 21:30 End of the day

    This retreat will take place in Koh Samui, Thailand, which is only about an hour away from Bangkok by airplane, an hour plus from Singapore, and 3 hours from Hong Kong. The island has the allure of a remote island paradise but with the accessibility of the region’s most popular destinations.

      "My exposure to yoga before this retreat was lots of asanas in different forms of yoga, and only recently more in depth study in kundalini. Arpita’s careful planning of incorporating 5 elements, Ayurvedic principles, breathing exercises and spirituality. And yet, she still remained seamlessly flexible to allow for various student levels and last minute scheduling changes. So we could make the most of opportunities that came up with excursions and still fit in some amazing yoga experiences. The addition of Ayurvedic workshops and consultation was beautiful addition, adding another dimension to the yoga experience. The activities that were organized outside of the yoga sessions fit beautifully into the yoga theme, adding more depth to the spiritual concepts, and also allowed sufficient free time for us all to make the most of this incredible island paradise.The venue was a dream come true. In typical Balinese style, the staff took great care in attending to any request, the food was beautiful and rooms exceptionally comfortable. This was my first yoga retreat and I am not sure that I can bring myself to do another because this was such a special experience!"
