Most of the rooms are single with their own en suite shower room and own small south facing terrace with great views. One of the rooms has a double bed, ideal for a couple. The guest rooms are separate from the main building to create a totally peaceful relaxing atmosphere.

You will have yoga classes twice daily, except on the arrival day and Wednesday, when there will not be any classes, and the departure day, when there will be just the morning class. On Wednesday, you will have the opportunity to venture further afield, leaving as early as you like and not needing to get back at a certain time. Of course, it is your holiday and you can choose to do as much or as little yoga as you feel throughout the week.

Marjut will teach a Vinyasa Flow class in the morning, with a more relaxed Hatha yoga session in the late afternoon, led by Paula. Mats, blocks, and straps are provided so you do not need to carry your own mat unless you prefer to use your own. We have a choice of practicing by the poolside, on yoga platform on the hill side, on a covered patio area, or in the Lakeview room with its stunning views.

The peaceful Centro Punto de Luz in Andalucia will be the venue for this wonderful week of yoga, led by experienced teachers Marjut Sallinen and Paula Flood.

Paula Flood

Om Yoga founder, Rajnandini Paula Flood has been teaching Hatha and prenatal yoga in Dublin since 2001. Paula is a Registered RYT 500 teacher with Yoga Alliance UK. This accreditation demonstrates excellent standards as set by YAUK.

In 1999, Paula qualified with Marie Quail, a senior Iyengar and Satyananda-trained teacher based in Northern Ireland. She said that there is so much to learn in the field of yoga and the interest has led her to complete numerous trainings including in yoga anatomy, yoga therapy, Viniyoga, Restorative yoga, anti-gravity and prenatal yoga, mindfulness meditation, and Buteyko breathing.

She completed prenatal training with UK midwife and Birthlight tutor, Marion Symes, and prenatal CPD with Birthlight founder, Francoise Freedman, author of Yoga for Pregnancy, Birth and Beyond. She also attended the Institute of Yoga (sVyasa), Bangalore, India (Vivekananda Kendra) where a special maternity clinic combines western medicine and traditional Indian methods such as yoga and Ayurveda.

The Centre is situated high on the hills with magnificent views over lake Vinuela, all the way to the Mediterranean coast.

"The Rotunda Hospital recommended Om Yoga to me due to back, neck and shoulder injury. 10 years (and two babies) later, I now go to yoga classes and love love the strength core strength and relaxation. Paula does a great job of catering for different levels and making sure everyone gets lots out of the class."

"Since I am a total beginner I was a bit hesitant to even try it to be honest but the benefits are obvious so I thought I give it a try. First of all, I really felt comfortable in the group since you were so focussed and balanced and constantly instructing with a calming and soothing voice I could easily follow and stay focussed myself. Compliment. I also value the soft, tender, gentle approach for all the exercises. No forcing. How I needed that. I especially liked the final part. The relaxation part. Your voice nearly made me fall asleep .. I felt so relaxed in the end .. Thank you so much."

  • Review by Jackie Bourke from Stoneybatter, Ireland

"I have been a student of Paulas for almost ten years now testament to her wonderful teaching skills! I first starting practicing yoga with Paula when I was pregnant with my fourth child and I have continued with her ever since, taking a yoga teacher training course she taught on and attending weekly classes with her. For me Paulas focus on listening to your own body and working with what feels comfortable has been one of the most beneficial aspects of her classes. She has taught me the balance between making an effort and putting myself under pressure an important balance which I try to apply to my life in general. The classes are always small so you get to know people in the class quite quickly and benefit from personal attention. Together as a group we enjoy the relaxed and fun atmosphere Paula creates. Leaving each class you can feel you have worked toward releasing tension in your body, while mentally you feel relaxed and calm. I would highly recommend Paula Floods yoga classes to anyone interested in any aspect of yoga."

  • Review by Eileen Sheridan from Glasnevin, Ireland

"I started class with Paula about 6 years ago and can honestly say I would be lost without my weekly session - its the perfect wind down, time out and me time! From the first moment,Paula's gentle and relaxed manner ensures that cares are left at the doorstep and you enter into a quiet safe space. Paula is very experienced and thorough - she explains each move fully then checks to make sure each person understands and encourages each of us to carry out the movement to the best of our ability. I also like the fact that she keeps herself and the class up to date by regular retraining with other practitioners. I started yoga "late in life" but feel and hope with Paula's guidance that I will continue for a long time yet!!"
