Accommodation

During this retreat, you will be accommodated at Yoga Niketan Ashram. You will stay in an ashram-style, clean and safe room. Double occupancy rooms are available upon request.

Om Sampoorn Yoga Retreat India Program

On this retreat, you will join the healing practice of kirtan. You will practice Yin and Restorative poses, as well as different types of meditation and rebalance with yoga Nidra. You will explore the ancient town of Rishikesh, visit sacred caves and temples, meet sadhus and gurus, watch the sun rises in the Himalayas, and breathe together the holy energy of Ma Ganga while you've been nourished with organic, vegetarian, yogic meals. You will journal your experiences and delve into open discussions and yogic studies.

Please note that on days of excursions the schedule will change. Omsampoornyoga will inform you of such changes the day before.

Included excursions

Enjoy excursions in the Himalayas such as sunrise meditation and visits to temples and sacred caves. You will also join Indian traditional ceremonies such as puja and artee by the holy Ganges River, as well as participating in Kirtan.

Instructors

Vimal Barthwal
Vimal is a certified international yogi and spiritual counselor from Rishikesh, the world’s capital of yoga. His studies with Swami Daram Das at the Sivananda Vedanta Academy and his one-year of sadhana alone in a cave have allowed him to become the guide students search for. They can learn and practice daily yogic teachings, ultimately enjoying a stress-free, peaceful life. Vimal’s objective is to spread health and love across the world through his authentic, energetic, yet sensitive teachings. He has been sharing his passion for yoga for over 10 years in India and other parts of Asia.
Elena
Elena is an internationally certified yogini who teaches Atma yoga, a holistic healing style created by Saul David Raye. Elena’s classes are open to all levels of students and include a dynamic flow of asana, pranayama, mantra, Ayurvedic tips, and meditation. Eclectic energy together with teachings from Bhakti, Tantra, and shamanism are at the core of her classes.

Retreat location

This retreat will be held at Yoga Niketan Ashram, centrally located in the heart of Rishikesh, India. Rishikesh is the world's capital of yoga. Situated by the sacred Ganges River with its majestic mountains, ancient temples, sadhus, and sacred ceremonies make it the perfect environment to allow you to deeply immerse in yoga on and off the mat.

Food

Three daily meals are included in the package. Meals are nourishing, organic, yogic, and vegetarian.

How to get there

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Dehradun Airport (DED). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request.

The transportation will be at your own expense. Please let Om Sampoorn Yoga know if you will be needing one. Om Sampoorn Yoga will meet you at the ashram.

Arrival by train

It is a five-hour trip on Shatabdi Express from New Delhi railway station to Haridwar Junction railway station. You can then take a taxi from Haridwar to Rishikesh (one hour). Om Sampoorn Yoga will meet you at the ashram.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
