This is important for energy, raising, flowing, moving, and balancing. Tantra is raising the energy that you can use in your life, and it is combined with Kundalini, Astanga, Hatha and Sivananda (Surya Namaskar) yoga. Master Ketut Arsana has chosen particular asanas, which are important in raising the energy and helping the gland system.

Sound healing meditation

Sound healing meditation is a 60-minute session that helps release tension in your mind and wash out cares through sacred mantra chanting and a relaxing breathing technique. Traditional Indian harmonium will be applied in the session through channelling positive vibration.

  • Ketut Arsana

Master Ketut Arsana was born in the village of Padang Tegal, Ubud, and grew up in a family of traditional Balinese shaman healers (Balian) passed on from his grandfather and previous ancestors. Ketut Arsana began his healing practice with his own family, and gradually extended it to neighbours and eventually anyone who heard about him. He continually improved his knowledge by way of learning from other healers, praying in temples and other sacred places, and through spiritual discipline. Ketut Arsana found his spiritual teacher, Maha Guru, and surrendered to God (Lord Siva).

Cook your own meals

The chef’s super delicious food does not always play magic to please your day. Try to cook the traditional Balinese meals and enjoy your own recipe. Remember Balinese loves spicy.

Cycling down to hill

Push a pedal and explore truly Balinese culture! You can feel the rouge of rice paddies and fresh air from your tires as you paddle the bike within the companion of Bali natural environment. The end of the journey will be marked by the tasty lunch and one hour relaxing massage afterwards.

Jogging and trekking

Take your running shoes! Then, come for either pleasant sunset or sunrise walk at Campuhan Hill. Enjoy the beauty of the sun’s color glaze as it is rising or setting while you walk through the path in the middle of the green alang-alang. You may take a seat at Campuhan Bridge to kill the time or take another shopping chance. After a long day walking, sparkling refreshing juice and mini foot treatment will end your delightful journey.

Just start knowing how to make Balinese offering

There are different types of traditional events and people bring a variety of things and offering. The Balinese never stops practicing sincerity by lifting up a prayer through the offerings they make. If you feel like learning is your passion, you should try making offering like the Balinese do.

Morning walk and blend with local

Refresh your morning thoughts by walking along town and blending with the local people around Junjungan village. Observe how they live their life and you might discover something interesting such as how culture is raised from within.

Shopping and hunting

Explore Ubud known for the shopping area, which starts from Tegallalang village as the source of unique handicrafts, to Hanoman street where yoga lovers find their needs. Remember to visit Atman Café to enjoy their soft melted homemade gelato and the best organic coffee in town. You will stop by Ubud Bodyworks Center to have an hour of relaxing massage before getting into another journey at the Monkey Forest sanctuary and experience the feeling of Julia Roberts. For sure you can continue to shop in this shopping heaven.

Spiritual journey

Senses purification is a pre-requisite for further mind and spirit purification. By visiting Sebatu water temple, you can immerse in the sacred waters, and receive a prayer as well as blessing from the holy priest in the inner temple towards the conclusion of the activity. Sarong, sash, and offering are provided.

Sports and splash

Challenge yourself to conquer the popular white-water rafting. At the conclusion of the challenging journey, a delightful lunch and one-hour massage will cool you down.

"I stayed 5 days in Om ham Retreat Center and I had a wonderful time . The hotel is surrounded by rice fields, not far away from Ubud center. it was in a village, so perfect to just relax by the pool and enjoy the view. I had a suite room in the first floor,it was spacious, very clean and comfortable. The staff at the reception, the spa and the restaurant were really nice and friendly, they even got me a cake and sang me a happy birthday song on my birthday. That was a great surprise. The yoga classes were very good, I never had Kundalini yoga classes before,so I didn't know what to expect. But the yoga teachers were very patient and helpful.", edited

"It was the best stay in my life! The people here so friendly and do all the time the best. The food in the restaurant was every day so good. I chose every day a different meal and it was fantastic! The reception helps me to managed my trip for Gili island and when I forget a yoga lesson they remembered me. The massage was every time awesome and they do also the best. For relaxing it is the best stay in my life! It is quiet and the view of the rice fields its great. You can sit at the pool, enjoy the time with a fresh coconut and listen the frogs concert from the rice fields. It was the best time in my life but 5 days was to short..", edited

"I traveled here solo and had a lovely time. The staff and service are absolutely amazing so I never felt alone. The food at the restaurant was delicious and presented very well. The spa and yoga sessions were great and I enjoyed the fact that you are given an activity schedule for your week so you have structure to your days. If you need to move anything around then they are happy to do this for you. The hotel itself seems to be quite new, maybe 18 months, so the facilities are very modern. The bed sheets always smelt great and may be infused with essential oils. I loved getting into them at the end of the day. Overall I'd give this hotel and package a 10 out of 10 and highly recommended.", edited

"I had mixed feelings on this retreat as it was completely different to any retreat I had ever been on before. The location was really beautiful, the food was lovely, the staff could not be more friendly and helpful and the yoga is excellent. However, a lot of people staying at the hotel are not there for yoga at all, there are no group activities or any sense of a group like on most other retreats and you have free time basically from after the yoga class at 10.30 a.m. until that night when there may/may not be a meditation class on. Also if you decide you want to do an extra yoga class in the evening you have to pay extra money! Lastly it advertises a private balcony and lounge but none of the rooms have that. It is just two seats outside your room in an open outdoor corridor which I was a bit disappointed with. You get some spa treatments as part of the retreat package which is really lovely. Overall it was a nice relaxing week. "

"Om Ham has been amazing! We loved our 3 night spa and yoga wellness retreat. "

"Where to start with the good points: Firstly the staff are all so helpful and lovely. The food is exceptional especially the carrot cake and grilled salad. Our room was huge with a queen size bed which was very comfy. The yoga was brilliant with really professional instructors. The facials and massages we had were the best I've ever experienced and topped off with arrival juices and herbal tea to finish. It also had a free shuttle service into Ubud. The pool was lovely and relaxing."

The girls that work in the spa deserve a special mention, the treatments are wonderful. The whole package has everything you could ever need. The combination of delicious food, spa visits and yoga sessions is all you need to unwind and forget about the outside world for a while. "

"The yoga and meditation sessions were great, especially the blessing on our last Sunday. "This is around the corner where my family lives and around 5km north of Ubud. I went to this place to take a yoga class, dinner and a swim. When I went there to inform about the classes they were really friendly and helpful. Price was really good and I asked if I could go for a swim after the class. That was no problem. I do yoga regularly but never did Kundalini yoga. This was different but nice. You have a terrific view from the big space you are doing yoga in. You see rice paddies all over the place, the green of those paddies (in Indonesia) is a green you never see somewhere else. The teacher was friendly and very good trained. Sometimes it looked like he was paying to much attention to himself in the mirror than the students. It was a good class and sweated like crazy. What I have heard from students, who actually stay there, I heard good stories about the rooms and the food so I decided to stay for dinner. First the swim, nice (chlorine) pool overlooking the paddies. Went home for a shower and came back for dinner. Can't remember what I took but I remember it was great and fresh. Again overlooking the paddies at night this time and it was full of fireflies. Really nice. Staff was very attentive and service was good. Public spaces looked very clean and well maintained. Will definitely come back for a class and dinner when I am in Ubud region again. Prices are reasonable."

"Me and my friend started our 1 month trip around Bali with the 4 day Relaxing Retreat at Om Ham and we loved it so much we returned for the final few days before our flight home."

"We practice yoga at home but are still 'beginners' and although we found the classes challenging we enjoyed trying out a new style of yoga - especially the Sunday Blessing with Master Ketut Arsana."

"Spa: All treatments were extremely relaxing particularly the facial and rejuvenating massage - both included in our retreat package."

"Food: All fresh (lots grown on site!) and delicious - we tried nearly everything on the vegetarian menu and there was plenty of choice. Three course meals for lunch and dinner meant we were never hungry!"

"The staff could not do more to help, always greeted us with a smile and remembered our names. Shuttle bus to Ubud was handy to explore the centre which I definitely recommend for foodies, shopping and culture."

"I have stayed at Om Ham for 5 nights at the end of June. I was super pleased with the hotel, its wonderful staff, its facilities, not to mention the restaurant and the delicious local food. I am not a big yogi, but I enjoyed the yoga classes, a bit different, than any other other yoga class, I have ever participated in. It is called Kundalini Tantra yoga, worth trying ladies and gents and it is not hard to follow."

"I am a very experienced traveller and I like to find special places, I believe this hotel was a jackpot choice :). The rooms are average, but it doesn't even matter, the view, the peacefulness, the kindness, helpfulness and smiles of the staff worth every penny. It is truly genuine from the first moment. Everybody calls you by your name, they know your preferences, they are very flexible with the schedule, because you do get one, if you sign up for the retreat program. It is just perfectly organised. The spa treatments are divine, completely relaxing. As I mentioned earlier the food, smoothies are all organic, healthy and just delicious. There is a huge and varied vegetarian menu, but no worries, there is also a menu for the meat lovers."

"The wifi comes and goes, but honestly, I wasn't even bothered :)."

"I was a single traveller, this hotel was the perfect choice for me, I have met some wonderful people amongst the other guests and also I really felt like the staff took care of me. Their smiles are contagious:)."

"Khan from the reception was a really big help, so was Aya and Hendra. I forgot all the names, but everybody would deserve their name written here."

"I would also recommend this hotel to couples, not just solo travellers."

"Go and explore, have fun, you'll go home as a changed person... i guess that is what Bali does to you."

"I will be back for sure!"

"My friend and I just recently spent one week at OM HAM."

"We were looking for the authenticate yoga retreat experience, the type that really brings you back to earth."

"Before I continue I want people to be aware that this is a holistic resort. Which means no alcohol available in the resort, screaming and yelling are frowned upon and no prima donna attitude wanted. This place is for relaxation, yoga, meditation and quiet contemplation."

"The moment we stepped foot in the resort we felt at eased. My favourite spot was the sitting area above the restaurant. There, I can see the rice fields, the street and locals going about their business."

"We stayed at the most basic room (twin beds) and we were happy that it did not have a TV as we have come to Ubud to enjoy the outdoors and not sit in our room."

"The food was amazing as it was all organic and catered for my diet (i'm fructose intolerant)."

"The servings were adequate and the prices were amazingly cheap in comparison to the Ubud centre."

"The massages were affordable and staffed by the friendliest, happiest girls. Especially one particular girl I will miss so much, ILUH. In my 7 days there I often come across her during my walks on the resort and will chat to her like she is a long lost friend."

"The staff all around were amazing as well. Here are my special mentions"

"To the Guru and his yoga instructors - I feel so honoured and blessed to have had the opportunity to practise yoga with you. You are patient, calm and motivated. This alone earned the resort 5 stars in my review"

"The staff at the restaurant - thank you for catering to our needs. you have made our eating experience in Om Ham even more special."

"The operations manager - I'm sorry we never got to say goodbye to you but you were so good at tending to our every needs. PLUS PLUS for organising flowers and birthday dinner for my friend it was such a nice thought."

"The front of house boys - lovely to talk to and they do try to help as much as they can with a smile (genuine smile)."

"The drivers - you guys are great. thanks for the drop offs (sorry we were late sometimes) and pick-ups."

    "My final statement;"

"Thank you Om Ham for having us. We are grateful to have shared our 7 days with you in Ubud and no doubt we will come back again."

    "Dear Ms. Claire O'Brien,"

"Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at Om Ham Resort & Retreat. I am sorry that your experience did not meet your expectations; please allow me to express my sincerest apologies."

"Here we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer; therefore your feedback is very important to us. Please rest assured that we are taking the appropriate measures to address the problem and prevent future occurrence."

"With regard to your feedback, I have done some investigation therefore please find below my findings for your kind reference:"

"1. Slow system and Wifi - I deeply apologize for these matters. It was very unfortunate that during your period of stay we had quite an issue with our main server. I had personally supervised the maintenance and very happy with the result. We have also upgraded our Wifi bandwidth to "

"2. We apologize that there was a miss setup in your room. Our standard guest amenities setup in each room are shampoo, shower gel, and lotion. I have alerted our HK Supervisor about this matter, and please be ensured that more thorough inspection of each room has taken place since. "

"3. Yoga at Ashram Munivara is one of benefits that we offer to our retreat guests. At the Ashram we practice tantra, yantra and mantra, spiritual dance, meditation, fasting, chanting, and Yoga, all to enhance positive energy that are very much needed for our retreat guests. Unlike the hotel that are more to guest service & facilities oriented, in Ashram all efforts and events are focused to create higher spiritual energy therefore it is sacred and holy ground. As part of most retreat package, we are hoping that each retreat guest could maximize their spiritual experience by taking some yoga class in the Ashram. However due to some internal communication problem, we have failed to inform you about the cancellation in advance. Kindly accept my personal apology for this inconvenience. We have also addressed this communication problem among team. As a token of our sincere apology, I would like to invite you for a free Master Yoga session on your next visit to Ubud. "

"Om Ham retreat is beautiful.. Such a tranquil setting. I enjoyed my stay there. I did a custom detox program that was very reasonable and pampering. They have great lymphatic, deep tissue and relaxing massages each with a glass of lemongrass and honey tea in a champagne flute while you get a mini foot massage. And some of the treatments are followed with an herbal bath... Yum! The kundalini tantric yoga was great. Each Sunday there is a Two hour yoga class with the the great Guru Arsana which you don't want to miss. The pool was great and the food was delicious and healthy. The staff were friendly, professional and Very accommodating. I would for sure stay again!"

"I found the reservation process quite slow and had to wait until a day before my departure to have a confirmation. Once I got there I realized that the internet connection is not the best and there are times when there is no network available so maybe this explains the delay?"

"The Om Ham Retreat is located outside of Ubud with no shops or restaurants nearby. Overall, it is a nice little hotel and the staff are all very friendly. However I found that a lot of the staff don't have a good level of English and it is sometimes difficult to communicate with them."

"The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. The first night I was given a ground floor room which I changed to a second floor room after one night, because the outside lighting was too bright and the curtains didn't keep out the light."

"Bring your own bathroom amenities, the hotel provides some shampoo and lotion but no hand soap or shower gel!"

"I signed up for the 7-day yoga retreat. On arrival I was given a document with the planning for the week. According to this I was supposed to have two yoga classes at the Ashram instead of at the hotel. When I went to the Ashram for the first class I found out on arrival that the class had been cancelled. Since the hotel staff couldn't propose an alternate class they offered a relaxation massage instead. I chose to substitute the second yoga class at the ashram with a yoga class at the hotel. I didn't really understand why the hotel sends its customers to the ashram, even if they both have the same owner. I would have thought that the only reason we should be offered a class at the ashram would be if the class at the hotel was not held, but this isn't the case."

"Overall I would say that I had a good stay at Om Ham. The staff could make some improvements to bring the hotel up to international standards, but their friendly attitude made up for any shortfalls." website, edited

"Om Ham Retreat Center is a wonderful oasis in the middle of Bali. The place has soul and a tranquil, peaceful atmosphere perfect for relaxation and recharging. The yoga is great for all levels leaving you sore but replenished. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and will help arrange trips around Bali if desired. We had almost all our meals in the retreat center's restaurant as the food is both nourishing and very tasty! The Guru is a kind, humble, yet talented and funny man - you will want to make sure to meet him! We definitely hope to return to Om Ham." website, edited

"I stayed at Om Ham for 4 nights and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! The rooms are great, you can't beat the view and the yoga is excellent!! Make sure to stay on a Sunday for blessing yoga and the lunch buffet. It is a bit far from Ubud so it's a nice place to relax but a little difficult to get around to Ubud with traffic. "

"The restaurant has pretty basic options for both carnivores and vegetarians. Very very friendly staff! In my short time there many of the staff members already knew my name and personally greeted me when I arrived."

"My sister and I spent 8 nights at Om Ham Retreat in Ubud and absolutely loved it. We had initially planned to stay only a few nights before.moving to another area of Bali but were so happy with our stay here that we extended it. The setting of the retreat is beautiful and relaxing in the middle of rice fields and the level of service offered by all the staff is outstanding. All the staff are extremely friendly and genuinely wish to ensure you have a great stay. We particularly enjoyed the excellent range and quality of food served on site and ate at the retreat every evening. The regular free shuttles into Ubud every day make it the best of both worlds having the tranquility of being slightly out of town whilst having easy access (10-15min drive) into central Ubud. It also has a lovely swimming pool. All in all a super stay in a little corner of paradise."

"This place is everything I wanted from a relaxing retreat where I would feel comfortable on my own and be able to do lots of yoga. In the end I only do one session a day as it is enough for me and I want to do other things. It feels totally noncommercial and is far enough out of town to be really chilled and quiet. I do get woken up by cockerels in the morning though. The food is great and personally I found the portions plenty big enough (but there are lots of complaints to the contrary on this site - maybe they grew them in response to the criticisms). I am here at Easter time and it doesn't seem crowded although I couldn't to the blessing yoga session on Sunday due to high numbers, but generally classes are between 3 and 10 people. It is very female orientated with lots of single women here doing the same as me. There are men who mostly do the cleaning and lots of smiling but staff wise I find the women have better English and are much more on the ball therefore if you need anything, go find one of the women to help."

"I personally find the prices ok especially in comparison to similar retreats on the island. although Ubud is cheaper for things like massages etc. Just across the road there is even cheaper yoga at the ashram."

"Just down the road is the gorgeous city of Ubud with lots of great stuff to see and do or just bumble about in. Get a map from the receptionist. Riki at Vive salon is a famously good hairdresser if you have an important interview or wedding etc. It's very easy to be vegetarian here and although I love my meat, I haven't eaten any here yet. This is such an easy place to holiday in, safe, comfortable, affordable, I will definitely be coming back."

"Staying at Om Ham and doing yoga was amazing! Yoga teachers are good and well-instructed. Swimming pool is beautiful, it was such a pleasure to stay by the pool everyday with the magnificent rice field view. To my surprise, the restaurant is really good. They made very delicious food and healthy drink. Moreover, the spa and massage is really excellent. Every morning got well-greeting from every staff with smile! You can change the time schedule if you wish. They set the rice field walking in the morning, but I arrived at night, so Putu, one of the smiling staff, suggested me to change to sunset rice terrace walk which was very sweet from him. I appreciated a lot! I also got a healing from Master Guru which is really transforming and valuable to me! The only drawback was the room, as I am not the air-con friendly, I would prefer to stay with the fan but there's no option. At night, the dog's bark from nearby hostel was a bit annoying. However, in overall, Om Ham is a really nice place for a yoga retreat! I feel grateful to be there! I highly recommend to yogi!" Website, edited

"Although I had to cancel retreat I still stayed at hotel and it was a beautiful experience. Being a solo traveler I finally felt at ease in Ubud and the staff are so relaxed but tend to your every need. They seem to just appear, and knew my name immediately! It was the most beautiful place I've stayed in Ubud and cleanliness and attention to detail was second to none. "

"Really really good quality- the yoga package was thought out so meticulously. A highlight for me was eating in the charming restaurant where downstairs was a more restaurant setting but upstairs was quaint and homely with sofas and knick knacks- perfect to chill and eat in your own space overlooking the paddies. The food was so delicious and so healthy. Well worth a visit!" Website, edited

"We spent 2 nights at this retreat center to join one of their yoga retreat. We had an amazing experience. "

"The resort is just officially open for a year, so you can expect good, clean, and new buildings. Rooms are spacious. I managed to get the receptionist to give me a quick inspection. They have 3 room categories: superior, deluxe, and suite. All room except superior has tv and bathtub. Well kept gardens, big nice infinity pool with rice field view. Two stories open air restaurant and lounge. Stunning ambiance. "

"Very friendly yet humble staffs. Everything there is giving you nothing but positive energy. "

"The highlight of our stay would be on how they arrange and manage their retreat itinerary. It was not just a common yoga event, but they were thinking every details of it. From the morning walk, super healthy refreshments, superb foods, and the most important was the yoga and healing session led by Master Ketut Arsana. "

"The resort is located 5km north from Ubud central, so it is far enough from the now-over-crowded area but yet it is just 5 min drive from it. Perfect for us who were seeking for a good weekend escape from the hectic life on the other side of the island. "

"We met other guests who were there for their 2nd or 3rd two weeks retreats. And we can also see ourselves as one of the repeaters to this nice resort."

"We've booked our stay at the Om Ham Retreat from our home in Germany for 1 week. As we arrived and spent our first few days there, we decided to stay longer and extend our stay for another week. So first of all I have to say, I can definitely recommend the retreat and I would book there every time again."

    "But now the good scores:"

"The rooms are very good, but unfortunately the pillows are rather strong and hard. The ambiance of the retreat and it's whole facility is great. You'll definitely calm down there. It's very quiet and relaxing. Every room has like a own porch where you can sit down and let your spirits flow. You'll also have an ocean view as well if you are accommodated in the second or third floor. There's a free water refill on each floor and a great rooftop where you can relax as well."

"The cleaning is perfect and the staff is very friendly. Also the pool is super. If you're going to book a massage there, you'll experience a very friendly staff again and the massages itself are also top."

"Now the not so good points:"

"On the top floor, there is sometimes a yoga session and the teacher is very loud. You'll definitely hear him teaching in the morning, even through the walls of your room. Yes, the walls are not the thickest. At the pool, there a insufficient sun loungers for all the guests and the sunshades are not tiltable."

"If you're going to eat at the in-house restaurant, be aware the the portions are very tiny (except the breakfast), but therefor way too expensive. Like I said, the staff is very friendly but at the restaurant they are very often very bumbling (serving the food in the wrong order, forget orders, sometimes it takes a long time)."

"The prices are totally exorbitant there, especially the room-service prices."

"But like I said above, I definitely would book at the Om Ham Retreat again. It was a very great stay!"

"A new oasis away from Ubud which used to be a villiage but is now a crowded city with a traffic and parking problem. The feeling is ultimate rest and relaxation away from the noise and hustle and bustle Ubud. Soothing rice fields surround the property. Hopefully they will not be built upon any time soon. The pool is the best pool in the Ubud area. The "spa" is just lower level rooms of the hotel but they are very large rooms. The young girls doing massage are very new massage therapist so do not expect the level of expertise that you will find in other "Spa's" in Bali. But their good attitude makes up for their lack of experience. The restaurant is very new also and although this is advertised as a yoga retreat center the food and service need some upgrading. The Sunday yoga class and Buffett brunch is popular with locals but the food is mediocre . The rooms are very clean and new but basic.there is always someone around to take you to Ubud, but in my opinion this should be free like other hotels outside of Ubud. The price to travel in a car to town is expensive. I was doing a de-tox fast and if they would have had a wet steam and infar red sauna I would have never left the property. I expect this will become a very busy yoga retreat center as soon as the word gets out. But for now it is a very quiet place beautiful oasis. Perfect for anyone who needs rest and relaxation and a feeling of complete calm."

" I am hosting a Reiki Retreat next year in Om Ham because it is such a serene and impeccable place! There are large open spaces for Yoga and meditation with views on the emerald green rice paddies. This place is very impressive and spacious! The surroundings are gorgeous and lush. There is a lovely pool, which is so appreciated on such hot sunny days. The staff and service are ALL out of this world so kind, polite and helpful!! The Yoga teacher, the owner...the best I have ever met in my life!!!Om Ham is about 15 minutes from mystic Ubud , where you can walk all the streets safely, where you can shop at beautiful shops, eat in delicious restaurants or experience the huge market, and be taken away with the scents of incense flowing through the air. So it is wonderful to go back to Om Ham to such a peaceful place at the end of he day!The rooms are immaculately clean with beautiful balinese bathrooms. Every room will suit you, they all have a terrasse with cool chairs looking at the grounds and the rice fields. The food is super fresh and delicious, very beautifully presented. Every detail has been thought out to perfection!! And pricing is exact! I will be proud to take people there with me because I know they will LOVE IT!!! I DO!!! AND SO WILL YOU!!!!!Stayed February 2015, traveled solo "

"Om Ham is an immaculate place with the most serene atmosphere. Upon entering the space, I was greeted with warm smiles, happy faces, and a deliciously cool tamarind juice. I was immediately drawn in by the statue of Ganesha which is central to the space. It is so beautiful and holds a very unique and special energy!I enrolled in the 8 day yoga and meditation retreat. The facilities are all brand new and perfectly presented. The yoga space is very clean, open, and spacious. It overlooks the beautiful Ganesha sculpture, pool, and rice fields. All of the teachers are incredible and have a deep connection and passion for what they do. The guided meditation was absolutely incredible, and Meena is an amazing source of energy as he guides you through the session with his playing of the harmonium and singing of mantras. The food is absolutely delicious! You can taste the love in each and every bite. Everything on the menu is fresh from handmade pastas to typical Balinese plates to organic juices. The garden salad was among my favorite of fresh dishes, and both the kundalini and ambrosia smoothies are to die for!!!The spa treatments are the best I've had in Bali with wonderful natural exfoliating treatments followed by exquisite aromatic flower baths. They will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated!I cannot say enough good things about this place! If you're looking for a quiet and peaceful space filled with the most blissful ambiance, this is the place!!! It is only a few kilometers from the town of Ubud and the hotel can arrange a shuttle for you if you'd like, but I personally had no desire to leave. The employees are very keen on making sure that your every moment is a most pleasurable one. It was difficult to say goodbye to them as they were all present to see me off when I checked out. They've really created a kind and loving community for themselves and are eager to make you a part of your family. I look forward to reuniting with them again when I return to Bali!(When I left, I found myself chanting an "Om Ham" and realized that if I just rearranged the vowels in the two words, it would be "Am Hom." This sounds like "I'm home" and this is exactly how I felt throughout the entirety of my stay. I-am-home!! And you can be too!)", edited

"I had a wonderful experience at the Om Ham retreat, so much so that I would consider organising to bring a group of people for a retreat next year. The Om Ham centre is in a perfect location, close enough to Ubud to enjoy all that the town has to offer. I made the most of this location by sampling some classes at the Yoga Barn in Ubud town. The retreat location in Junjungan is far enough away to get the feeling of isolation and a sense of "getting away from it all".The facilities at the hotel are excellent, my room was spotlessly clean and the staff really go out of their way to help, they are a credit to the establishment, they certainly made me feel at home. The swimming pool and sunbed area is well maintained and fresh towels were always available regardless of the time of day.The food and service in the restaurant were also excellent, it's just a pity that the restaurant was so quiet in the evening perhaps this was due to the time of year or due to the fact that there is no alcohol license. This suited me fine as I was on a yoga retreat after all but as I was alone, it would have been ideal to have seen some other people in the restaurant at night. The yoga timetable was very well organised, they even had a stand in teacher one morning when the scheduled teacher had an accident. All teachers were both experienced and professional.Overall my experience at the Om Ham centre was everything that I expected it to be and more and I am definitely going to try to organise a retreat for next year, if someone could send details of how I go about that please? The only negative comment that I have is that the main roof was being fixed while I was staying there, this meant a bit of disruption and extra workmen around during the day however there was never any noise from this in the evenings. Many thanks for the wonderful experience." website, edited

"My stay at Om Ham retreat cannot be faulted in any way. The staff were exceptional; always friendly and helpful, and the accommodation was perfectly clean and luxurious. I thoroughly enjoyed the yoga sessions which took place on the top floor of the hotel and as such had the serene backdrop of the surrounding rice paddies, and though I had never done meditation before, the instructors were great and talked me through it very well. The pool was a fantastic extra and the restaurant served great food; breakfast in particular was excellent. And all this for the price of a mediocre hotel in Spain, if not less. Om Ham was definitely the highlight of my four month travelling tour of South East Asia. Ubud itself is a lovely town; although it is somewhat touristy, there is none of the pushy souvenir-selling of Kuta or Seminyak. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Om Ham to anyone, even to those who were not interested in yoga/meditation; as a resort in itself it is fantastic. 5 star seems not enough!"
