This solo retreat is your opportunity to experience a personal wellness getaway at Okreblue at any time throughout the season that suits you. Whatever your heart desires, this is your retreat, and you choose your experience. Come by yourself, with a partner or a group of family or friends, and experience an opportunity to reset, relax, and restore yourself in this unique and authentic space for yoga and healing.
Stay and sleep in comfort at Okreblue one of their simple and rustic accommodation options. Inspired by the elements and the muses of Greek mythology, the rooms are open, naturally lit, and purposefully minimal to simplify your experience on retreat.
Most of the rooms face the seaside and are a stone’s throw away from Filizi beach, with unencumbered access to the velvet waters of the Aegean Sea. It is perfect for a sunrise dip.
The accommodations are in single, double, and twin rooms with ensuite bathrooms, mini-fridge, and kettle.
The tastefully decorated accommodations are located on the same campus as the two, large, open-air indoor or outdoor yoga shalas.
There is a large, outdoor, community area that overlooks the sea for dining, journaling, or just resting in the comfort of the ocean breeze. You will be nourished by the food that is grown in Okreblue’s organic gardens. This retreat center offers the perfect environment to reconnect with mind, body, spirit, and nature.
Spending quality time at Okreblue is an investment in your health and overall well-being. This retreat center was created for those who want to take the journey of self-discovery, self-improvement, and self-care. They offer daily yoga classes from farm-to-table organic meals that detox your body and nourish your soul, well-appointed rooms, and friendly and supportive staff. The retreat center offers you the freedom to unwind and reset.
The deep respect and care for nature and the local community underpins every aspect of the design, development, management, and ongoing operation at Okreblue. Okreblue Seaside Retreat Center is proud to mention just a few of the key initiatives that underpin its sustainability strategy.
Okreblue’s organic gardens supply the majority of ingredients in the Carretta restaurant. The rest of the ingredients are sourced locally on Paros, or wider Greece to travel and the carbon footprint.
Food is upcycled to minimize waste in the kitchen and all scraps are composted to nourish and grow organic gardens.
They offer filtered water to all guests and encourage minimal use of one-off plastics. Their facilities strictly adhere to recycling all plastics when necessary.
Shower water is recycled and used to water the trees on-site, and they use biodegradable soaps in their bathrooms and laundry. Their recent buildings are sustainably designed and built. This includes the use of recycled local tires to create buoyant floors in one of their yoga shalas.
The new eco-deluxe rooms are made entirely from natural materials, such as clay, mud, wood, stones, and hay from the surrounding environment. Okreblue’s commitment to continually improving its footprint is ongoing, and so every year new initiatives are introduced to help Okreblue increase its sustainability and leave an increasingly positive footprint on the surrounding environment.
On this retreat, you will be guided by Okreblue’s onsite yoga teacher, Sasy or one of her hand-selected team of experienced yoga teachers. You will be offered daily group yoga classes.
You will be nourished by the tantalising Ayurvedic – Greek-inspired cuisine, served daily at brunch and dinner. You can indulge in a massage, choosing from a range of treatments offered by our beautiful resident practitioners.
Importantly, on your Solo Retreat, you will have the opportunity, space, and time to relax into yourself. Meditate, read, swim, lounge, mingle, and explore the local island. Whatever your heart desires, this is your retreat, you choose your experience.
You will be welcomed with a delicious smoothie in the Caretta Cafe, a campus tour, settle into your room (if you arrive a little earlier you will have time for a dip in the Aegean Sea), and a grounding, restorative practice, followed by dinner.
Sasy started practicing yoga in 2006 and has been teaching since 2010. She has a background in various studies, from business management and public relations to teaching English as a foreign language to both children and adults. She also has a background in many active sports. She tried yoga for the first time during a very challenging period of her life and it was love at first breath. Through yoga practice, she found the means to heal her body through alignment and transformed her attitude and way of life.

You will be nourished by the tantalizing Ayurvedic and Greek-inspired cuisine served daily at brunch and dinner included in the price.
The times are specifically designated around your daily yoga practice and for your optimal digestion. Enjoy delicious cuisine based on ancient Ayurvedic principles, emphasizing well-being, balance, and bliss in the body.
You create your plate from a selection of plant-based dishes, fusing exotic Indian flavors with the tastes and character of traditional Greek cuisine. You will eat together twice daily on Caretta’s open deck with the amazing view of the Aegean Sea, or of the moon rising.
For something extra, the kitchen is available to serve you in between meals with juices and smoothies and a selection of healthy snacks and salads available for order throughout the day.
The food philosophy centers around local, organic whole foods, so much of the produce is harvested daily from Okreblue’s organic garden. Other ingredients are sourced as much as possible from local and organic Parian and Greek suppliers.
Angelo, whose love of Greek cuisine and nutrition has led him to work with food for over 30 years, met Suresh, your resident Ayurvedic chef from North East India in Goa in 2015.
Suresh learned the magic of Greek cuisine and together with Elvira, who is the goddess of pastries and sugar-free desserts, they take care of the delicious meals at Caretta Lounge Restaurant.
The kitchen takes great pride in creating meals with complete taste profiles that tantalize the taste buds and leave the body and soul satiated, nourished, and energized.
For more than 13 years, Okreblue has been feeding guests and nourishing bodies on retreat. Food is undoubtedly one of the defining factors of the Okreblue's experience.
Every season, after every retreat, there are requests from guests to share the secrets behind Okreblue’s unique recipes.
