You will be accommodated in a pleasant single / private room with an attached bathroom having the facility of both hot and cold water. Ojashvi Yoga Shala is a registered Prenatal yoga school with Yoga Alliance, USA. Prenatal yoga teacher training program of Ojashvi Prenatal Yoga Shala is suitable to yoga teachers who have been trained in RYS-200 hours program, as well as, for the experienced yoga practitioners having sufficient foundational knowledge of yoga practices and philosophy.

Fulfillment of the teaching requirements after the training, the trainees are eligible for the RPYT certification from Yoga Alliance. 85 hours of Prenatal yoga teacher training is a fulltime residential training format, which is conducted in the premises of Ojashvi Yoga School in Rishikesh, located in the beautiful nature of the Himalayas.

The curriculum of the course provides the knowledge on general background in the prenatal yoga such as the concepts of pregnancy, guidelines in prenatal yoga to understand the high risk and non-risk pregnancy. The students will learn and practice the techniques of yoga such as asanas, pranayama, meditation and relaxation, which are appropriate for each trimester of pregnancy including diet and nutrition concepts.

The training also helps to understand the ethical preparation, yogic lifestyle for prenatal yoga teachers through yoga philosophy - they will be equipped with teaching methodologies necessary to teach the Prenatal yoga in all the stages of pregnancy to deal with specific pregnancy conditions, complications, contra-indications and limitations. They will discuss and study the in-depth explanation of the female pelvic floor anatomy, pelvic movement and pelvic floor muscles, as well as, anatomical and physiological changes in pregnancy.

Practicum of the training program helps trainees to get the opportunity for the observation of the teaching practice of Prenatal yoga class. Ojashvi Prenatal Yoga Shala has carefully chosen the yoga modules to ensure that the trainees of the prenatal yoga teacher training course will develop the capability and confidence to teach yoga practices in pregnancy to achieve the safe teaching practice.

The Ojashvi prenatal yoga teacher training program will be helpful to:

  • Gain comprehensive knowledge of pregnancy consisting of human anatomy and physiology, with special reference to the pregnancy and reproductive system, as well as of normal anatomy and physiology during pregnancy and the transitions in each trimester

Nagesh Hiregoudar is the lead teacher in yoga teacher training courses of Ojashvi Yoga Shala. Nagesh is a deeply experienced and extensively qualified yoga practitioner who embodies and imparts the highest standards and ethics of training to his students. His deep interest in yoga fueled his hunger to experience the different traditions and their teaching methodologies. Since more than a decade, Nagesh has exclusively devoted himself to teaching of yoga. He is bringing a most humane approach to his teaching.
Rohithaksa
Rohithaksha is registered yoga teacher with Yoga Allaince USA and has received his master's in yogic science from Mangalore University Karnataka. He has been experienced as a yoga therapist in PG Centre of Mangalagangothri Mangalore and later he served as yoga therapist in JSS hospital in Mysore. He has also been trained in Bihar School of Yoga, Munger and Yoga Vedanta Forest Academy, and in the Divine Life Society Rishikesh to deepen his understandings of yoga philosophy and practices.
Mallika Bhanot Gupta (Prenatal Yoga Teachers)
Mallika Bhanot Gupta is an extensively experienced prenatal yoga therapist who has been teaching yoga for the past 12 years. Since a young age, yoga has been an integral part of her life. She is having comprehensive traditional knowledge of yoga practice and principles. Under the guidance of her guruji, she has been able to become a humble seeker and also learnt the Indian scriptures. It is her passion for traditional Indian philosophies & sciences that led her to shift from being a student of Microbiology to study the science of yoga as a therapy. She did her Masters in Yoga Therapy (M.Sc)
