Tjasa has been practicing and studying the teachings of yoga for over two decades. She has trained in dynamic Vinyasa, Hatha, and more recently Yin yoga. For her, yoga is a way of connecting to the divine, finding stillness, staying in the present, feeling grounded, and balanced. She holds a certificate in plant-based nutrition through e-Cornell and believes that yoga combined with plant-based lifestyle leads to vibrant health, wellness, and compassion on the planet. She is also a nature and lifestyle photographer, specializing in yoga photography.
For many years Alja has been traveling the world and pursuing her biggest dream - surfing. Along the way, as a complementary practice to her surfing, she found yoga. Recently she decided to take her yoga practice to the next level and she finished yoga teacher training with emphasis on vinyasa yoga. She teaches challenging and dynamic flow yoga and pranayama.

"Really enjoyable yoga retreat on the beach "
Loved the morning yoga on the beach with Tsaja. She looked after me and made sure I knew where to go the first day. Tsaja works very hard to ensure everyone has a positive experience.

"Recharge one's batteries"
Tjasa and Alya were really nice and helpful. When there was a problem, they were directly there to help. They really cared for us. The retreat happened like it was planned on the website. We did many interesting activities (mandalas, walk to the volcano, etc.). They were all amazing! We had luck because the weather was great! The Christmas dinner was just perfect: it was a buffet in a restaurant with many delicious vegan dishes. The last day we had a photo-shooting and the pictures are amazing. They are great memories to keep with ourselves. Overall it was a great retreat during Christmas time. It helped me to prepare myself to leave 2019 behind and to look forward to 2020. I recommend it!

"Yoga holiday "
The location for the yoga every morning was wonderful, and the teacher was helpful, approachable and thoughtful. We liked the apartment: the complex was quiet, the gardens were beautiful, and everything was to hand.

perfect and beautiful island of a yoga and surf retreat. The instructors are very well prepared whether you are a beginner or a pro. The daily yoga is tailored depending on the time of surfing. The accommodation is a beautiful residence with a huge pool and surrounded by nice bar and restaurants. A little bit far from the city center and the yoga beach (20/25 mins) but you can rent a bike for 10 euros per day.
During yoga and surf you have the chance to meet people from separate surf schools.
Surfing was amazing as this is probably the best island for this purpose and the instructors are very prepared and friendly.

"An uplifting New Year experience!"
I joined the New Year yoga retreat and it exceeded my expectations. The retreat was carefully organised with a really good balance of yoga, hiking, relaxation and free time to explore the island. Tjasa and Alya are both passionate yoga instructors with kind hearts. I learned a lot from both of them and enjoyed the company of other people in the group. It was a truly memorable experience :)

"Good yoga in a lovely setting"
I loved doing yoga on the beach- a new experience. Tjasa was very helpful as host as well as leading the yoga. Although self-catering, shopping and cafes were very convenient.

"The best way to start a new year!"
I came on my own to the new year's yoga retreat and enjoyed the daily yoga classes so much which were held on the beautiful beach. The activities planned by Alya and Tjasa (spa, volcano meditation, yoga in the sand dunes and we took an extra trip to Lobos) were fantastic and both of their kindness and focus in organising the retreat was much appreciated. The brunches were so yummy&refreshing and both are wonderful chefs!
I am so lucky to have met so many lovely new people, and to have experienced a week of island life! Thank you Tjasa and Alya.

"Away from the beaten track"
My experience with Oceanyoga was great. Tjaša is an amazing and warm-hearted instructor and a very good host. I particularly liked how she focused on and corrected each participant in yoga poses and how each class was different. I am also thankful for all the insights about Fuerteventura that she gave me. Doing yoga on sand was a new experience for me. I would recommend this retreat to all who seek some off time from busy life and crowded civilization.

"Nice relaxing days in Corralejo"
I enjoyed the yoga sessions by Tjasa on the beach pretty much.
The arrangement yoga/surfing went very well, too: When having surfing in the morning the yoga sessions was moved to the afternoon. :)
