The holidays are designed to suit all members of the family and include activities in which everybody can participate together! Surfing in Andalusia Spain is always a great experience with a good climate, a variety of surfing conditions and waves for beginners, intermediate, and advance surfers. Learning to surf as a family is one of the very few sports where all family members can enjoy such an exhilarating sport together whilst each person progresses at their own speed.
You will be accommodated at a new self-catered family apartment that is clean, comfortable and has a superb beach access by foot. The apartment has fully equipped kitchens, spacious living rooms, sunny patios, and clean, comfortable bedrooms. A five-minute walk down the hill from the apartments is the Conil de la Frontera town beaches which are both immense and beautiful.
On Arrival in Conil de la Frontera, you and your family will be met by Oceano Surf representative. From there you will be taken back to your accommodation to check in. Once you have checked in, you will be briefed on the timings and locations of the weeks surfing lessons and all other available activities during the week.
Make your way down to the designated surf beach where the morning surfing lessons will be held. After signing the booking form, size up for a wetsuit and then you are ready to do yoga before surfing. Once down the beach, you will have a detailed introduction into safety and your equipment. Learn prone position and how to catch waves in prone position. Wade out into waist depth water (where your feet can touch the ground at all times).
Catch waves into the beach lying down (prone position). Once you can do this then come out of the water and learn three different techniques for how to stand up. Finish the lesson off catching waves in prone then trying to stand up in the white water. Break for lunch. After lunch, those who have selected the option of board and wetsuit hire in the afternoon will have the chance to practice without their surfing instructor for two hours.
Breakfast then down to the beach. Continue with yoga for surfing. Today, you will learn how to paddle, learn your pop-up choice and practice on the beach with feedback from instructor, stance refinement, and how to dismount from the surfboard. Once the lesson has finished, you can take the option to have a free surfing practice session in the afternoon.
Breakfast then down to the beach for fun beach games for the kids, while adults will take part in a light yoga based stretches before surfing. Today, you will learn how to catch waves out of depth (depending on the surf conditions), techniques to get you out through the whitewater paddling for and catching green waves and taking the drop. After lunch, you can take the option to have a free surfing practice session in the afternoon.
Breakfast then down to the beach for yoga before surfing. Next, learn the theory on surf etiquette, rules and regulations, play out realistic scenarios on the beach, take off front side back side, the introduction to trimming the board in green waves, and also an introduction to the bottom turn. After lunch, you can take the option to have a free surfing practice session in the afternoon.
Breakfast then down to the beach for yoga before surfing. Today, you will have an introduction to ocean safety and beach lifeguarding techniques, explanation of beach environment and surfboard rescues, understanding surf and weather conditions and how they affect your surf experience before free surfing with instructor feedback during the lesson. After lunch, you can take the option to have a free surfing practice session in the afternoon.
This is your last day and time to explore the local area. You can either choose a guided tour to Cadiz or Seville. Both are within easy reach of Conil de la Frontera.

This family surf camp are based on Southern Spain's Costa de la Luz, a quiet urban neighborhood of the beach side town, in Andalusia. It has a thriving community of local markets selling local produce as well as a few large supermarkets that stock everything that you might need for the duration of your holiday.
The food in Andalusia is absolutely excellent. You will eat locally produced ingredients that are seasonal. Your guides will give you the best advice on places to eat and shops to buy your local ingredients.
Coastal bike riding route and horse riding routes are available at an extra cost.
Please book your flight to arrive at Jerez de la Frontera Airport (XRY), Seville Airport (SVQ), Gibraltar International Airport (GIB), or Malaga Airport (AGP). These are four major international airports within easy reach of Surf Camp resort town of Conil de la Frontera. The public transport infrastructure is very good in Andalusia; therefore, getting from the airports to Conil de la Frontera should be quite easy.
If you fly to Malaga, you can go by bus to Conil de la Frontera. On leaving the terminal building in Malaga Airport, head for the train stop. There, you can catch a train to Malaga Renfe (the main train station in the city center). Once you get to Malaga Train Station, right next door is the bus station. From there, you can catch a bus to Conil de la Frontera.
Once you have arrived in Gibraltar Airport, the best suggestion would be to rent a hire car across the border in Spain. If you do not wish to hire a car then catch a bus to Algeciras and then transfer to a bus that will take you to Conil de la Frontera.
If you choose to fly to Jerez de la Frontera Airport, you can catch a train direct to Cadiz. Once you have arrived in Cadiz, you can then catch a bus directly to Conil de la Frontera. Once in Conil, a representative from Oceano Surf Camps will meet you at the bus station in Conil de la Frontera.
If you fly from London Stansted, the train is at 11:44 a.m. and the flight arrives at 11:40 a.m. You are not going to have time to catch the train to Cadiz. Therefore, you are recommended to catch the bus to Conil.
From Seville Airport, you can catch a bus directly outside the arrivals hall to the main train station Sevilla Santa Justa. Once there, you can catch a train from Sevilla Santa Justa to Cadiz. On arrival in Cadiz, walk right across to the bus station where you can catch the bus directly to Conil de la Frontera.
