Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Jerez de la Frontera Airport (XRY), Seville Airport (SVQ), Gibraltar International Airport (GIB), or Malaga Airport (AGP). These are four major international airports within easy reach of Surf Camp resort town of Conil de la Frontera. The public transport infrastructure is very good in Andalusia; therefore, getting from the airports to Conil de la Frontera should be quite easy.

Arrival by bus

If you fly to Malaga, you can go by bus to Conil de la Frontera. On leaving the terminal building in Malaga Airport, head for the train stop. There, you can catch a train to Malaga Renfe (the main train station in the city center). Once you get to Malaga Train Station, right next door is the bus station. From there, you can catch a bus to Conil de la Frontera.

Once you have arrived in Gibraltar Airport, the best suggestion would be to rent a hire car across the border in Spain. If you do not wish to hire a car then catch a bus to Algeciras and then transfer to a bus that will take you to Conil de la Frontera.

Arrival by train

If you choose to fly to Jerez de la Frontera Airport, you can catch a train direct to Cadiz. Once you have arrived in Cadiz, you can then catch a bus directly to Conil de la Frontera. Once in Conil, a representative from Oceano Surf Camps will meet you at the bus station in Conil de la Frontera.

If you fly from London Stansted, the train is at 11:44 a.m. and the flight arrives at 11:40 a.m. You are not going to have time to catch the train to Cadiz. Therefore, you are recommended to catch the bus to Conil.

From Seville Airport, you can catch a bus directly outside the arrivals hall to the main train station Sevilla Santa Justa. Once there, you can catch a train from Sevilla Santa Justa to Cadiz. On arrival in Cadiz, walk right across to the bus station where you can catch the bus directly to Conil de la Frontera.

"After a two-month trip round Spain whenever anyone asks my 10 year old where was best she always says "Surfing in Conil de la Frontera"!"

    ""

"We were especially lucky to get beautiful weather in mid-November for an out-of-season, ad-hoc lesson with Andy but this was by no means the only reason that we had such a great day. Andy managed to get my daughter and husband up on the surfboard in the two-hour lesson and they thoroughly enjoyed learning with such a great instructor. Andy was really helpful from the first email requesting a lesson, he was welcoming, friendly, and went above and beyond, giving us tips and advice on places to visit during our trip and following up afterwards with some amazing photos that his colleague had taken during the lesson. Thanks so much for the amazing experience!"

"We certainly hope to return to this beautiful area of Spain and hopefully more surf lessons with Oceano Surf."

"My 12-year old daughter and I were beginners surferes and wanted to give it a go in the warm waters of Conil. Andy and Pablo were excellent instructors, gave clear advice, and made the lessons great fun. They gave us lots of good tips to get us up and standing on the boards and were very patient despite my distinct lack of natural talent. My daughter however took to it very easily and was standing up regularly on the board in no time. The groups were very small which allowed for a very personal level of instruction. Andy also has a good knowledge of the area and gave us some good tips on places to visit. I will definitely return for more surf lessons."

"Behind Oceano Surf, there is Andy who started 13 years ago and turned his hobby into a living. Now, he lives it! "

"Andy picked us up personally after we arrived in Conil de la Frontera. He showed us the clean and big apartment with two bathrooms, which was our home for one week. Shopping facilities were close by."

    ""

"The major advantage in Conil de la Frontera is that you are completely independent of a car or public transport as the apartments of Oceano Surf are in walking distance (15 to 20 minutes) to the beach."

"As a beginner surfer, the lessons taught by Andy and his motivated staff showed fast results as the groups are small and the teaching style is excellent. If you need certain techniques to be improved, they show it to you in an extra exercise on the beach. I can highly recommend Oceano Surf and really enjoyed the week of surfing."

"We've spent at Conil five days. It was my first experience of surfing. I expected it would be much harder but Andy is amazing teacher and very helpful when it comes to practice. I certainly recommend Oceano Surf to others. You wouldn't regret it."

"5 stars somehow isn't a high enough rating for my trip with Andy and Oceano Surf. Conil is a beautiful place in and of itself but with Andy guiding you through not only the waves but also the town and all its hidden gems, the place really takes on a life of its own. Andy and his family were wonderful hosts, generous with both time and knowledge; we shared lots of food, drinks, waves and laughs. The surf options and waves were both plenty and varied and Andy has great local knowledge and is a really fun guy to surf with despite being about 100 x better than me. I had a truly amazing trip / camp and could not recommend Andy and Oceano Surf any more highly. I miss it already and will definitely be back soon."

"My husband and I booked a lesson with Andy. There were 3 of us total beginners and we were taught each stage step by step in a fun way and led back to the water to practice. No question was a silly question and all were answered in laymans terms. Haven't stopped smiling yet, highly recommended."
