Come and cosy up for a weekend of nurturing, soothing yoga and meditation snuggled in the tranquillity of ancient woodlands only a short stroll from Cornwall's dramatic cliffs and hidden coves. Enjoy 2 yoga sessions a day, daily morning meditation and beautiful freshly prepared food (all diets catered for) from our in-house chef.
The group will be the sole occupants of a beautiful detached country home, set in its own grounds and with a private light and spacious yoga studio tucked into the gardens. The house was built at the turn of the last century for an artist and his family. Stepping into its flagstone entrance hall it feels like being wrapped in a warm hug. The house breathes history and you can sense the love and laughter of years gone by. Rooms are available as singles, doubles or twins providing plenty of options to come alone, with partner, friends or siblings.
Friday evening includes a welcome ceremony by candlelight, with easy yoga to loosen out the knots and settle the mind. From Saturday, optional morning meditations will be followed by a lazy breakfast and one and a half hours of Scaravelli inspired yoga.
In the afternoons, take the time snoozing in comfy armchairs by the wood-burning fire, finding a good book, chatting to new yoga friends, or venturing out to blow away the cobwebs on one of the most famous parts of Cornwall's ancient coast. We will also have the delight of our very own highly skilled masseuse offering a range of Ayurvedic and aromatherapy massage (bookable in advance).
Pre-dinner yoga will be tailored for the group with a range of options including focusing on breath, particular parts of the body, or deep relaxation. A total treat for body, heart and mind - now in its third year.

Julia is a warm, caring teacher with a wealth of experience, gained over 10 years of Yoga and meditation teaching, 25 years of her own practice and 3 year Yoga Teacher Diploma plus many further trainings. She leads retreats in Cornwall and overseas as well as weekly classes, workshops, plus bespoke Yoga for some of Cornwall’s top hotels. The Yoga I love to share is nurturing, soulful and playful. Just 15 minutes from Penzance (trains straight to London Paddington, connecting services via Plymouth to Bristol and beyond) and less than an hour from Newquay International Airport. Only 10 minutes to Lands End, the stunning Porthcurno beach with its famous white sand and turquoise waves and the equally renowned Sennen Cove.
Oceanlight Yoga team knows just how important meals and nourishment are to the whole retreat experience so they've taken great care to find the best local chef to take care of you. Mealtimes will be a feast of delicious organic whole-food dishes - think mouth-watering veggie mains and hand-baked puds, with yummy homemade cakes and afternoon tea - eat as much or as little as you like. Vegan, gluten free and other dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice. Please let the team know on booking if this applies to you.
During free time, you're welcome to explore locally and if enough people are interested, the team will happily organize a trip to the famous Minack Theatre nearby and / or to Sennen Cove and its art galleries and beachside cafes.
