Immerse yourself in a yoga and meditation retreat for a better and renewed self. This retreat offers you daily yoga and meditation classes, nice atmosphere, vegan/vegetarian food, beach to swim and watch the sunset, and meet like-minded people.
The accommodation is a five-minute walking distance from the beautiful Mandrem beach. The venue has 16 rooms at the campus and if it is full then the team organizes rooms near the center. The center has a vegetarian restaurant with Wi-Fi.
Hatha yoga is the foundation of all types of yoga. These classical yoga postures, which are held static for a period of time in order to experience their benefits, form the very core of any practice and participants are encouraged to explore the asanas at different levels.
Vinyasa is synchronization of movement and breath. It was first developed by Rishi Vaman somewhere between 500 and 1500 AD for the Grihastha, meaning a common family man. Vinyasa yoga is a series of postures weaved into each other to create a flowing practice. This beautiful practice aims to increase metabolism and develop focus and awareness through movement and breath coordination. Your teachers endeavour to bring out this potential in each individual through their practice.
Oceanic Yoga also recognizes the importance of pranayama in one's daily life. Pranayama is the science of manipulating and regulating your breath to be able to efficiently balance your prana or vital life force which is important for your physical, mental and spiritual well being. Teachers focus on first helping the participants understand and correct their breathing patterns.
Slowly, as awareness develops, they introduce you to the myriad world of pranayama: cleansing breaths to remove physical, mental, and emotional toxins, cooling breaths to bring about calm, balanced and harmonic breaths along with chanting pranayama to bring about a state of inner and outer equilibrium.
With this awareness of breath, you will move towards the subtle aspects of the mind through meditation. Through dynamic, walking, guided, and silent meditations you will explore the realms of meditation.
Oceanic Yoga expects that everybody should be physically fit to practice yoga, walk, and meditate. Also, anybody who is interested in achieving good health by yoga and meditation is also a good candidate.

Abhay started practicing asana when he was twelve years old. He did his Yoga Teacher Training at Kaivalyadham Yoga Institue India in 2004. Since 2006 he began teaching Yoga. Up to now, he has trained thousands of students in India and Thailand. During years of regular Meditation and silent retreats, he had many blissful experiences. By studying many modern and ancient Yoga texts, he was able to make the philosophical component of the teacher training courses easy to understand for the students.
Manisha is a certified E-RYT200 and RYT 500 Yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance USA and well as Yoga Alliance International. She is currently working as the Co-Director of Oceanic Yoga with her husband, Yogi Abhay. Manisha is practicing yoga and meditation regularly and she possesses a naturally playful and light-hearted personality which infuses her classes with love, joy and laughter.
Oceanic Yoga is located very close to the serene Mandrem Beach in North Goa. Mandrem beach is famous due to its beautiful beach and sunset. Early in the morning, people engage in activities like walking, running, excerpting or yoga on the beach. The beach never gets overcrowded and it is far away from all party hectic life. The beach is also ideal for those who love nature
Although a small village, Mandrem has all the necessary facilities, including a bank and an ATM, travel agencies, guest houses and huts on the beach, a supermarket, taxis, and restaurants within a few-minutes-drive from the beach.
