Director and founder of the award-winning Jala Flow Yoga and now The Ocean Wellness Hub in Sidmouth. Louise began her yoga journey in 1997 after stumbling across a class in a gym where she was teaching aerobics. Yoga captured her heart and it wasn’t long before she was completely hooked! Louise is a Senior Yoga Alliance instructor. She is qualified with the British Wheel of Yoga, level 3 REP's (Register of Exercise Professional) and has been teaching classes and workshops across the UK since 2001.
Yoga has been the foundation of her life since her teenage years in the ‘80s, teaching herself through books until she could finish school and leave for India to find a teacher, becoming a student of Siddha Yoga and training as a Hatha yoga teacher. Since then Sabine has taught on and off, between other work in Colombia, Europe, and England, continuing her training with many teachers along the way. Her main influences have been from Anusara, Vinyasa, Yoga-dance and Kundalini yoga, but her greatest teacher has always been her own body and experiences.
Alice qualified 8 years ago as a Pilates instructor and a sports masseuse therapist. She has worked with clients on a one-to-one basis along with teaching group Pilates Classes. Alices loves to see the progression in people, especially those who think they are past being helped! Her classes nurture clients' postural alignment and help to develop strength through deep core and pelvic floor work.
Having Swapped the rolling hills of South Wales for the stunning landscapes of Devon 9 years ago. I am now a fully-fledged Devonian! My Furry Companions, Blodwyn & Coco, are my ever- enthusiastic adventure buddies, adding endless joy to my life. Yoga has been a complete game- Changer for me. It’s not just about the poses; it’s a philosophy that helped me embrace a truly healthy and happy lifestyle. After training in Goa, India and obtaining my Yoga Alliance qualification, I now share the practices that have transformed me. My classes are welcoming to all levels.
I have always loved sports and exercise since a young age. Mainly training in dance before going to University and getting my personal training qualification in 2022. I have found a career within the fitness industry that I am very passionate about and became a yoga instructor in Portugal in 2024. It has always been a goal of mine to spread the mental and physical benefits exercise has brought me throughout my life and Yoga teaching is the perfect combination of my passion for movement and mental well-being. My aim is to educate and uplift as many people as possible.
This retreat will be held in the floral coastal town of Sidmouth, East Devon, United Kingdom, nestling between Peak Hill to the west and Salcombe Hill to the east. It is a delightful holiday location with spectacular views from the cliffs on either side of the town. Its two beaches are safe for bathing, sailing, or fishing. Sidmouth is a perfect place to relax and offers a variety of additional activities including tennis, golf, bowls, SUP and swimming.
Sidmouth has a lot to offer visitors, both houses are situated within a stones throw of National Trust Parkland, The Byes, which follows the river Sid through the town to the seafront to the east and onto a lovely promenade walk along the seafront to the west of the town and Connaught Gardens were there are regular music concerts during the summer months.
