"surf school with yoga for relax"
accommodation is very nice in old Portugal village.. 15 min by car from sea side but transportation is free.. home made food was wonderful and included too in my package.. hostesses Tania and Catia are very attentive.. surf depend from a wind ans many other things there but then you jump on the wave it's great .. on a beach can be a sharp stones.. be careful where you step.. but pick suit and board there can be good and instructors always help you.. Hana conducted yoga class in good vinyasa flow style at evenings for relaxing.. the weather was little cool and I swam in hotel pool only once .. but anyway there's views are amazing.. Obidos is old castle in 15 min by car from the village worth to visit more than twice

"I would recommend more for a full Surf camp, not for yoga"
Óbidos Village is a lovely guesthouse located in the Olho Marino village (not in Óbidos itself). The host Cátia was nice and the place was easily accessible from Lisbon by bus. The dorm is very clean and nice and the bed was super comfy. We were only 3 in the dorm so it was great, but maybe if the form is full (9 people in it) it can be less enjoyable. Same for the bathroom, with 2 showers and 2 toilets it was perfect for 3 people, not sure if there are more.

"A perfect relaxed week"
The hosts Cátia, Tânia and Carlos are very friendly people and they really make an effort to make everyone feel welcome. The guesthouse itself is beautifully renovated, is full of characteristic Portuguese details and they even got chickens and goats! The cooking of Tânia and Cátia made this week a true Portuguese experience, because of the fantastic traditional meals we got served every day. We are not the first guests who suggested it, but they really should write a cookbook! And most important: the yoga and the surfing were great experiences. Inez and Suzanne are both really talented yoga teachers and their lessons expanded my yoga-skills. And the surfing lessons were so much fun. It was the first time I tried surfing, and the enthusiastic teachers (shout out to James!) made it a great experience. I definitely want to continue surfing and I will come back for sure! :)

"My best vacation ever"
Guest house is located in a small and very quiet village, about 10km from historical Obidos and 10km from Peniche. Many options to get there, cheapest is metro+bus (google how to find the bus station at campo grande, will save you time). Guest house is exceptionally clean, as well as the territory (restaurant, swimming pool and the terrace). Catia does the great job, she is sweet and very helpful. The food is delicious! It is home made, every day we had something new. Majority of the products are biological from the village gardens or from the local market, eggs were from the Catia’s chickens. Catia is very careful about someone's food restrictions and allergies. Yoga instructors Nika, Ricardo and Rafaella are great! Very different but all love what they do, listen for your requirements and help you to do it right. I’ve also took a surf class at Carlos’ school, and it is going to be my new hobby:) Overall atmosphere is very chill, you decide what you want to do today and Catia will arrange if needed, or you can chill with the book and no one would bother you. Also wanted to mention that massage from Antonio was amazing, pity it was on my last day so I could not schedule more sessions.

I had a wonderful time at the retreat thanks to Catia and her family. Catia is incredibly friendly, takes time to get to know her guests and prepares and cooks delicious and authentic meals every day. I enjoyed all the meals Catia cooked for us, but a special mention to her desserts, which were spot on!
The guest house itself is very charming and the dorm room and bathrooms were inviting and very clean.
I really enjoyed the yoga with Nika, which I found a really great balance with the surfing.
We were picked up for the surfing and the surf school is professional, friendly and organised. I had a lot of fun learning to surf and felt welcome as a beginner. The instructors are enthusiastic and passionate.
Overall, I loved my first stay in Portugal, thanks Catia!

"So pleased by this little gem"
I feel so lucky to have found this place combining resting time and local experience. Catia, Tania and Carlos were really lovely and made me feel like at home.
I stayed in the 3bed dormroom: super clean, very functional (every bed has got a night lamp and a power plug, lockers are available for your personal belongings) and a beautiful view from the window (whether on a blue sky day or on a foggy morning which always clears up).
My 2 yoga classes per day were very enjoyable and I always felt relaxed after each session. I could also enjoy the outdoor pool (in October !!!) And because the hosts wanted me to experience the area as much as possible I also went for a paddle boarding session in the lagoon, a beach walk along the coast and even a surf class with Carlos who was a great teacher (and made me discover my new hobby!!!). This place allows you also to meet other travellers which is for me also an important part of the journey :)
Last but not least... the food was incredible !!!! Tania has magic hands and made me taste delicious local dishes: arroz de patu, bacalhau da casa, feijoado...
So, I will definitely come back and recommend it to friends who are looking for a real local experience, unplugging from their busy daily lives and keen to discover a new culture.

Catia, Tania, Carmen, and Carlos welcomed me for 5 days and I had a perfect retreat. Twice a day yoga and surfing or stand up paddle in the afternoon were a perfect combination of active fun and peaceful yoga - I was happily tired at the end of each day. Tania cooks delicious, wholesome Portuguese food for all meals. The accommodation is recently refurbished and the house has a lovely pool on site. I felt like they made me part of the family and I really didn't want to leave. I couldn't recommend this more.

What can I say, I am totally delighted by the experience of the retreat yoga. the staff is awesome, amazing Cátia and Tania! My room was sooo comfortable, warm & cosy plus the view and nature sounds. The food, aah - what a wonderful cook Tania is, such flavours and presentation and loved the display, so professional. As for the yoga! Heavenly! My mind, body and soul have been touched by the whole experience. I really cannot think of anything I would like to change and will certainly be recommending the retreat to friends and family. Thanks a lots for all!!! I'll be back for sure.
