Bobby
Originally hailing from Perth, Bobby spent the first 10 years of his working life in building and construction. After developing a strong, disciplined, and consistent practice he quit his job, moved to Melbourne, and completed his 200-hour teacher training with Power Living Australia under the guidance of Chris Wilson and Cassie Lee. He has completed an additional 75-hour advanced teaching and leadership skills mentorship with Duncan Peak and Adam Whiting, and 30-hour Yin yoga training with Hugh Lee.

Laura
Laura is passionate about providing dynamic, challenging yoga classes, workshops and one on one private yoga sessions, as well as retreats that will change your life. If you are looking to burn through any limitations and find your inner peace, joy and live a truly happy and fulfilled life then you are in the right place. Yoga provided me a safe space to find the skills I needed to step into an authentic life, I now have the lifestyle that I only ever once dreamt of. A healthy balanced philosophy, physical practice paired with a healthy mind.

Keoni San
Keoni’s style is most likened to a Hatha/Vinyasa Flow. Classes focus on alignment while building strength and increasing flexibility. Expect slightly longer holds, slower transitions, and lots of variety! Keoni has experience in teaching all levels of students, from first timers to the seasoned yogi, kids and athletes and can offer modifications for those students needing them.

Luke and Mariko
Luke and Mariko completed their 800 and 200-hour respectively teacher training courses at Byron Bay Yoga Centre where they lived and learnt for over three years. There Luke worked with retreat guests and teacher trainees facilitating asana and meditation classes and also worked in construction and the organic gardens utilizing his permaculture qualifications. He used his qualifications and passion for music to host Kirtan and other sound meditation sessions. Mariko also taught public asana classes and in addition to that she worked as a certified Thai massage therapist while at BYC.

"Beautiful place along with great yoga and meditation"
The town has so many nice Onsen to relax in before or after yoga practice. Bobby is an awesome instructor and also knowledgeable about the town and surrounding area. Two other instructors, Luke and Mariko, were in charge of breakfast and made some of the best food! They put a healthy spin on some well know Japanese dishes with Vegan and Vegetarian options and it was delicious :)

"One of the best weeks of my life!"
First of all the location is incredible. 2hr from Tokyo but feels like another world. You're up high in stunning country with wild forest above you on three sides and a view for miles on the other. The town is famous for its hot baths too - these alone would be worth making the trip for - you'll never feel more refreshed than in this place.
The Villa is superb, breakfast was so tasty and our hosts were full of knowledge and enthusiasm to show us around town, and ensured that we really made the most out of the week with a couple of day trips planned between yoga sessions.
Which brings me to the yoga itself - and look I'm no expert but I couldn't have imagined a better series of practices. Over 12 sessions there was no repetition whatsoever, and the physical and physiological differences have been profound.
Instructor Bobby is an absolute champion, with deep understanding of his field and excellent craft as a teacher.
I've come away wanting to practice more, understand yoga theory better, and go back to Nozawa Onsen for forest bathing and hot spring bathing.
See you next year!

"The best experience I had in Japan"
This was the most amazing and worth while retreat for my mind, body and soul. Nozawa Onsen was magical, a beautiful village surrounded my mountains and the rushing streams of the hot springs. Phoebe was a wonderful guide through the mediation and yoga practices as well as for the village - including restaurants and onsens. This was definitely one of the best things I have done, not only in Japan but in my life. I would highly reccomend this retreat for anyone looking to relax in a beautiful environment while enriching their meditation and yoga practice.
