This package is suitable for both the beginner and the advanced student of yoga wanting to experience something very unique: yoga in Marrakech and in the stunning surrounding of Moroccos Sahara desert.
During this retreat, you will stay in shared accommodations.
You will be staying right in the middle of the Medina, Marrakechs old part of the city, in a carefully chosen, Riad. Riad means garden, a traditional Moroccan house built around an inner courtyard or garden. Cool and comfortable, beautiful and absolutely quiet though right in the center, you can, relax, unwind, enjoy the sun and a glass of Moroccan tea any time of the day. Daily yoga practice held at the inner courtyard or on the rooftop overlooking Marrakech.
You will stay in a traditional Kasbah (hotel) on the only hill there overlooking the Sahara Desert before heading inside the desert and upon returning from the desert. The Kasbah is family run business. The rooms are exceptionally nice with terraces facing the dunes.
The desert camp located right in the middle of the desert. Traditional Berber tents are equipped with comfortable beds with mattresses, kitchen, a restaurant, toilets and ample space for daily yoga practice.

Two daily yoga practices and meditation sessions in the magical, mystical surrounding of Morocco will be accompanying and supporting this experience. Both types of students, the beginners as well as the advanced, are equally welcome to join.
The experienced yoga teachers are focusing on your individual needs and level of experience. Most of the trips offering the possibility to either improve your practice or even try yoga for the first time.
Arrival in Marrakesh. Spend the night in the cool calm of a beautiful Riad (Moroccan villa). You will enjoy a lovely prepared dinner and will take the time to get to know each other, share your expectations, and wishes for the upcoming days.
After enjoying your first yoga lesson on the rooftop overlooking the ancient city and after breakfast, you will dive into the most famous of Moroccos imperial cities for a guided tour including lunch in a famous spot with typical Moroccan food. Before you spent another night in the beautiful Riad, you will enjoy another yoga session and a dinner with the group there.
After an early breakfast, you will travel by bus through the High Atlas mountains to Merzouga, a town and oasis right on the edge of Erg Chebbi and one of South Moroccos two famous sand deserts. You will have certain stops on the way; the landscape is highly enjoyable all way long. Once arrived in Merzouga, you will enjoy a traditional dinner and spend the night in a charming, family ran Kasbah overseeing the dunes.
Starting the day with a morning yoga session facing the impressive dunes of Erg Chebbi, you will begin your adventure and head right into the desert accompanied by experienced local guides. You will have lunch together with the group in the camp. At sunset, you will have a yoga session in the incredible calm and tranquil of the desert in between giant sand dunes and under an unforgettable sky. After dinner, accompanied by traditional live music and a camp fire, you will spend the night in a Berber tent.
The following days, will be spent in the desert yoga camp. Berber cuisine accompanies exciting days of yoga practice, exploration, relaxation, and spiritual experiences. Whether exploring the desert, visiting a nomad family, learn how to cook cous-cous (Imanse) with a Berber woman, having romantic dinners under the unforgettable desert sky, or finding yourself in fully enjoying the tranquility and quietness here, you can let it come true.
After the night back in the charming Kasbah in Merzouga, you will take the bus back to Marrakech enjoying lunch at At Benhaddou; a fortified city or ksar along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech on the way. In Marrakech, you will spend the final two nights again in one of the amazing traditional Moroccan housings.
On the penultimate day of the trip, you will be free to enjoy diving into the souks of the medina or any other preferred activity for a last goodbye. You will enjoy a final sunset yoga session overseeing Marrakech and a splendid farewell dinner.
Anica is the founder of NOSADE. As a yoga teacher, Anica emphasizes particularly on bio-mechanical aspects of healthy movement and its value for both, the body, and the mind. She is trained in yoga Therapeutics and is teaching Anusara yoga.
This retreat will be held at three different places in Marrakech, Morocco. On the way to Sahara desert, you will transit for a night at Merzouga village before heading to desert. You get to experience living in traditional Berber tents for three nights and the vastness of the desert during the day. After that, you will transit at Merzouga for a night before heading back to Marrakech.

Please book your flight to arrive at Marrakech Menara (RAK) airport.The organizer will pick you up in the airport. The pick up is included in the retreat.
