The daily yoga program is gentle and restorative. Therapeutic yogic techniques are selected to complement the ayurvedic cleansing processes and promote healing at the deepest level of your being - physically, mentally, and emotionally. The system of yoga which Atna choose to teach is known as satyananda and hatha yoga. The over-all feel of the class is one of being nurtured and restored; and of re-establishing a relationship with ones true self in order to live life in a more positive and productive way.
During this restorative health retreat, you will enjoy a daily massage from the ayurvedic system known as 'Panchakarma' therapy. These massage techniques follow the body's pathways where Ayurveda considers as the vital energy force (ojas) flows. The massage techniques, with warm herbal infused oils, can relieve blockages such as ailments and emotional imbalance.
You will also meet a highly qualified ayurvedic doctor, Dr Sujatha Kekada, who will assess your health condition and prescribe a treatment plan of therapeutic massages, diet, detox treatments, herbal remedies, abyanga, shirodhara, pizhichil, and basti. Meals are also personally planned by Dr Sujatha to suit your health requirements, using local and organically grown ingredients.
