Trigonos is situated in Dyffryn Nantlle (the Nantlle Valley) in the Snowdonia National Park, halfway between the coast and Snowdon, the highest mountain in Wales and England. An area of beauty and grandeur, the Nantlle Valley offers a range of walks for all levels of experience. From challenging mountain climbs to easier woodland or lakeside paths, the peace and beauty of the area are unsurpassed. At the bottom of the grounds you'll find lake Nantlle, a peaceful and tranquil spot.

Food

Trigonos has high-quality, freshly made, delicious vegetarian food with many of the vegetables grown on-site. Its award-winning chefs lovingly craft meals from locally sourced and grown produce. The food is always a memorable part of any visit to this retreat center. The chefs are very experienced at catering for all kinds of special dietary requirements.

Breakfast

Breakfast includes cereals, muesli, porridge, yogurt, homemade bread, toast, homemade jams and marmalade, fresh hard-boiled eggs, preserved and fresh fruits, fruit juice, sliced cheeses, teas, and fresh coffee.

Lunch

Lunch varies according to the season and is based on a range of homemade dishes including the following:

  • Varied breads and soups
  • The main item such as goats cheese and red onion tart, quiche, frittata, houmous, and other dips
  • Green, tomato, beetroot, mixed and grain salads
  • Cheeseboard, fresh fruit, teas, and fresh coffee

Dinner

A substantial main course is followed by dessert, cheese and biscuits, fresh fruit, teas, and coffee.

Drinks

Over 20 varieties of teas and herbal or fruit infusions, caffeinated and decaffeinated coffees, coffee substitutes, and hot chocolate are available to residents at all times and at no extra charge. You just help yourselves.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LPL), Manchester Airport (MAN), Birmingham Airport (BHX). Then take the train to Bangor (Gwynedd) railway station. Trigonos can then help you arrange a taxi transfer (35 GBP if booked in advance) or a taxi-share or lift-share if there are others coming in around the same time.

If you are coming via public transport, take the train to Bangor (Gwynedd) railway station. They can then help you arrange a taxi transfer (35 GBP) or a taxi-share or lift-share if there are others coming in around the same time.

Arrival by car

There is plentiful parking at Trigonos.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 50% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 14 days before arrival.
