Through intensive practice and study, you will explore refinement and precision within your personal practice as well as how to share that detailed approach with your students.
Through daily practice of both guided and silent meditations and discussion of various techniques, you will delve deep into the practice, how it relates to the yogic lifestyle, and how to incorporate it into your daily lives.
You will briefly explore the fascinating human body and look at how your physical anatomy applies to the yin yoga practice and how to modify and adapt your teachings to keep students safe and aware. Through experiential and interactive learning, you will have fun as you assess and understand the limitations of the body as well as all of its many amazing capabilities.
You will carefully dissect many common poses within the Yin yoga practice to explore alignment in depth. You will also discuss how to modify and adjust poses for students with injuries, pregnancy, or lack of strength and/or mobility.
You will explore the birth of Yin yoga and its evolution and growth throughout the years. You will also discuss the philosophical side of this practice in-depth and how it can apply to your everyday lives.
Through experiential practice and discussion, you will learn about the practice of controlling and regulating the breath (pranayama). You will discuss the many benefits of this practice and how to effectively practice, teach, and share it.
Through experiential practice and discussion, you will learn about the practice of chanting (mantra). You will discuss the many benefits of this practice and how to effectively practice, teach, and share it.

Through the study of the proper use and application of hands-on adjustments, you'll explore different ways to assist your students in physical postures. You will discuss the appropriate steps to offer assists and how to create deeper awareness and comfort in your students' bodies through the art of adjusting.
Of course, you will study the art of teaching Yin in its many facets—exploring the ideas of what makes a good yoga teacher, how to skillfully use language, how to effectively sequence practices, how to concisely cue poses, and much, much more—so that you will feel secure and confident as a Yin teacher. And, of course, you will have the opportunity numerous times to explore these concepts in reality as you put the art of teaching Yin into practice.
The only prerequisites are a genuine interest in Yin yoga, coming with an open mind, and being prepared to learn.
You do not need to be a certified yoga teacher to join this course. You are more than welcome to join simply if you are interested in learning Yin yoga. Please note, however, that this training will not qualify you to teach yoga in general and will only offer you 50 hours of Yin yoga education.
Full completion of all course work, homework, and assignments is mandatory in order to successfully graduate from the course. You are required to watch all videos in order to graduate.
