Included excursions

No11 Boutique Hotel & Brasserie have designed trails that guests can access via Strava or you can take a slim guide available for free at the hotel. The trails take you to beautiful hidden gems around Edinburgh. They cover walks, runs, and bike rides.

Bikes can be hired via the Edinburgh City Council bike project. There is a bike station just 2 minutes walk from No11.

No guide is involved with the above. It is purely for the independent traveler looking to discover more about the city.

The building itself carries huge architectural significance in that it is part of the last row of Georgian Town Houses to be built by the eminent architect, William Playfair. No11 is just a few minutes walk away from the London Gardens full of tall trees, wildflowers, and hidden nature trails.

The nature trails, in turn, can take you to the open space and panoramic views enjoyed from the top of Carlton hill. Just passed this oasis of calm, you are within easy reach of museums, art galleries, theatre, cafes, and shops all to be enjoyed during your spare time - the best of both worlds!

  • Indian spiced potato aloo tikka, with coriander, mint and chili chutney, dressed peashoots and pickled carrots (V) (GF)
  • Grilled basil scented watermelon, quinoa salad, crumbled feta and superseed dressing (V) (GF)
  • Hot smoked salmon, with beetroot&spinach salad and a horseradish and dill dressing
  • Warm duck pastrami, with pickled plums, a hazelnut crumb and red wine and caramel dressing


  • Confit smoked pork belly, with charred corn salsa, baked potato mash, and tomato chipotle
  • Pan fried seabass, charred fennel and tomato with a bean cassoulet
  • Courgette, fennel, feta and walnut cannelloni, in a smoked tomato sauce, with garlic and chili spinach
  • Slow roast peppers with tomatoes, garlic and pin neut endive salad and a romesco dressing
  • Lamb trio of cutlet, bonbon and bacon with potato croquette and cabbage and thyme gratin

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Edinburgh Airport (EDI). From Edinburgh Airport, you can catch the tram. Get off at the York Place stop. No11 is a ten minute walk from here.

Arrival by train

Alternatively you can come into central Edinburgh via train. If you get off at the main central railway station called Waverly, No11 is a twelve minute walk from here.

Arrival by bus

The bus stop is reached by walking up onto Princes Street via the Waverley Steps escalator exit (crossing over onto the other side). Once on the bus you must get off at Hillside Crescent which is the second left, just off London Road.

Nearest bus stop is Hillside Crescent (two minutes walk) with the buses 1, 15, 19, 26, 34, 4, 44, 44A, 5 if you come from the city centre or Brunswick Street bus stop if you come from outside town. The costs are 1.60 GBP (adult) / 0.80 GBP (child) for a single ticket or 4 GBP (adult) / 2.00 GBP (child) for a day ticket.

Make sure you have the correct money. Virtually all buses running within Edinburgh do not give change so it’s best to carry a number of 1 GBP and 10p coins with you.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 16.94% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid 21 days before arrival.
