This retreat is paced to offer a gentle, meditative practice that allows you the opportunity to sink deeper into the asanas and gain a thorough awareness of your bodys needs.
Our accommodation is in beautiful tropical gardens overlooking Savusavu Bay, which is straight over the road in front of us. Behind us, the property stretches up the mountain – you’re welcome to walk there. And we’re surrounded by a wealth of beauty: lush green forests, coral reefs, warm seas – plus the endless warmth of Fijian hospitality.
The program is structured around morning workshops with afternoons for activities and free time to enjoy a massage, go snorkeling, or relax by the pool. The order of workshops may vary depending upon weather conditions. The listed activities are part of the course and are covered by your fees. If you want to add on extra excursions, e.g. diving, you are welcome to do so and they will be added to your bill.
Daku Resort is on Fiji’s northern island of Vanua Levu, just outside the small town of Savusavu. Fiji has about 300 islands. The two big ones are Viti Levu where you’ll arrive when you fly into Nadi airport, and Vanua Levu – that’s us. But whilst Viti Levu has most of the population and gets most of the tourism, we’re still a sleepy backwater with a small population and a fraction of the tourist numbers.
