Yoga Bliss course offers different type of accommodation depending on your budget and needs. Accommodations will be on site bungalows and other homestay located within 5 minutes walk. All the selected places offer big and cosy rooms with double or twin bed and Ac or fan depending on your booking, WiFi and private bathroom.

Certifications

Upon completion of this yoga teacher training, students will receive certificate affiliated with Yoga Bliss. Registration with Yoga Bliss meets identified standard set by the organization.

Your training will be oriented to deepen your own practice while showing you how to teach others.

Asana

The morning practice will always be an Ashtanga Led class focusing on building strength and flexibility while the afternoon will be a Yin or Restorative practice to restore physical balance and calm the mind.

Meditation

You will be introduced meditation techniques from the Hatha yoga and Tantric traditions.

Anatomy and physiology

You will discuss how the bones, muscles, joints, and all of the systems of the body interact in various yoga poses, and how they are physically and energetically beneficial to us.

Pranayama

You will be taught different techniques to control the prana that rides on the breath. Different pranayama creates different effects on the body, mind, and energy system - some more activating and some more calming. You will be using pranayama in conjunction with the flow of poses, in addition to using it as a lead-in to meditation.

Asana and teaching lab

Learning to align yourself correctly in poses keeps you safe from injury and stable, while experiencing the benefits. You will be informed on how to correctly align yourself and your students in postures by teaching different variations to effectively teach to all levels. The teaching of hands-on adjustments will also be discussed so that students can be physically guided into better alignment, more depth and relaxation in postures.

Philosophy, texts, and concepts

You will touch on the connections between Eastern philosophy, Hindu mythology, and yoga. You will be reading from Yoga Mala and The Heart of Yoga as supplemental texts to your practice. These texts will be the basis of most of your discussions that relate to all of the aspects of the course as a whole.

Ayurveda

Ayurveda, also known as the sister science of yoga, will be introduced as a complimentary technique. It has a lot to do with balancing your own individual constitutions with the use of herbs, better dietary choices, and even your asana, pranayama, and meditation practices to create better overall health, radiance, and peacefulness.

Prerequisites

To teach Ashtanga Yoga, you must learn first how to practice Ashtanga Yoga. During this intensive course, you will practice Ashtanga and Yin Yoga and focus on how to deepen your practice and how to teach others. It is recommended for you to have at least one year of regular and dedicated yoga asana practice and to know the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga if you wish to become certified as a yoga teacher with Yoga Bliss Lembongan.

If you wish to follow the course to develop your own practice, learn more about yoga and all its aspects, this course is also for you! It is difficult to find the time and a place where to learn and practice more intensively than drop-in classes and so this can be your time to do so without expectation of becoming a yoga teacher. If this is your wish, It is recommended for you to have practice any style of Vinyasa, Power Yoga or Ashtanga since more than six months.

Yoga Bliss will work with you on your practice to grow an asana, pranayama and meditation practice that can suit you on a daily basis. During the course, you will be practicing the primary series of Ashtanga Yoga. There is no asana level required to enter the course but

it is recommended for you to know or learn the sequence before coming to the course.

    Gwen is the founder and manager of Yoga Bliss. She is an Ashtanga Yoga teacher trained in Mysore, India. She is teaching and organizing yoga retreat, surf retreat, workshops and the yoga teacher training. Her teaching combines the tradition of Ashtanga yoga with the needs of each student. She is well renowned for the attention that she gives to both novice and advanced students.

    Lauren has been trained in Bali and India. She did study Ashtanga, meditation, Hatha, Ayurveda therapy, Prenatal, Postnatal, and Kids yoga. She is leading yoga teacher course that complete the 200-hour certification in Pregnancy yoga and Children yoga focusing on teaching skills and Ayurveda principles.

Yoga Bliss is located on Lembongan island, 30 minutes away from Bali. As a lot of travelers say, Lembongan is like Bali used to be 20 years ago. White sandy beach, blue clear water, quiet, and a perfect spiritual place. This island paradise begins to be a must to visit from Bali away from the traffic jam or the hawkers. A perfect place to relax, where the only things to do are diving, snorkeling, surfing, hiking, sunbathing, and yoga.

The shala is in the heart of Lembongan close to all commodities. The beach is only five minutes away, but as you will see everything is really close on the island as its size is approximately eight square kilometers.

During your training, you will have the time to explore new food, new way of eating, and cleansing. It will always be a choice coming from you and you will not be asked to follow a particular path.

You will be served three meals a day of healthy local food at Yoga Bliss' Green Garden Eco Warung, located at the same place with the shala. You will have the choice between a vegan, a vegetarian, and a meat option.
