Whether you are a beginner or expert yoga instructor, the yoga retreat is the ideal praise to a calming holiday. World Peace Yoga School inspires you to listen to your body and will guide you through your own individual transformation. You will learn tools to change your lifestyles positively: yoga, detox, pranayama and meditation.

In this five days yoga journey, students will be taught traditional Hatha yoga, Ashtanga yoga as well as pranayama techniques to breath correctly, rhythmically, deep and slow to stimulate the inner peace and inner awareness. Meditation practices is also incorporated to train the mind or induces a mode of consciousness so that students can achieve not only the physical awareness but also mental, emotional and spiritual self-development.

The yoga school utilizes the healing power of mother nature to help the guest enhance their yoga practice and strengthen their connection to the higher consciousness. Daily morning yoga classes, morning meditation classes, mantra chanting, yogic kriyas (yoga detox) and sacred fire rituals are some of the things which set us apart from the other yoga schools in Rishikesh. Discipline rules for students

  • Smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited in the school.
  • If you are having a fast any day, you have to inform kitchen manager for avoiding food waste.
  • Always make discipline, respect teachers and follow all rules.
  • Always be in the time, if you are late means will not be permitted to join class.
  • Clear your books of account before departing from World Peace Yoga School.
  • Before departure return your books, maps or any goods which you borrowed.
  • World Peace Yoga School provides accommodation for a student who join yoga classes. So any friends or relatives will not be included in accommodation.
  • Student have to present in all scheduled program of World Peace Yoga School.


Excursions include rafting the Ganga River, visiting the Beatles Ashram, exploring the natural treasures of the area (like caves, river beaches and waterfalls) and meditating on the beach during sunrise.


Vishnu Panigrahi
Yogi Vishnu is de oprichter en visionair van World Peace Yoga Schooll en hij is een uitzonderlijke docent. Hij weet hoe hij de mooie taal van het Sanskriet moet lezen, ien heeft de geestelijke geschriften uitgebreid bestudeerd met een breed scala aan onderwerpen en heeft zijn masters in zowel yoga en Sanskriet.
Yogi parlad ji
Hij is al voor meer dan een jaar een Hatha yogaleraar bij WPYS. Hij is volledig gefocused op Hatha yoga. De onderwijsstijl van Parlad Ji is volledig anders dan anderen; hij geeft lessen vol met liefde, respect en het begrip dat iedereen nodig heeft. Deze eigenschappen maken hem een goede yogaleraar. Parlad Ji is geboren en getogen in Rishikesh, en leerde daar yoga met veel grote masters. Hij is een zeer ervaren leraar met een goede praktische kennis. Hij heeft een Master in Yoga Wetenschappen aan de universiteit van Uttarkhand en een 500-urige yoga docentenopleiding van de Yoga Alliance USA.
Yogi Amit Payal
Hij is een yoga-instructeur met een geavanceerde opleiding in yoga en specialisatie in de principes van Hatha en Ashtanga. Hij biedt yogalessen voor alle niveaus, van beginners tot gevorderde. Hij doceert de student juiste houdingen om maximaal voordeel en veiligheid te garanderen. Yogi Amit biedt begeleide meditatie aan het begin en het einde van elke les om studenten te helpen zich te concentreren en het meeste uit elke sessie te halen. Hij is verantwoordelijk voor het behandelen van een klas van 36 studenten van alle leeftijdsgroepen. Hij begeleidt studenten bij het aanpassen van poses om anatomische probleemgebieden te vermijden of om zichzelf uit te dagen als dat nodig is.

Naturally, the locations of the centers clearly show that the students are trained at the very lap of Mother Nature. Truth and peace cannot be overlooked. The surroundings are pure and intentions the purest. The environment is serene enough to relax your mind, body, and soul.

Shopping in Rishikesh

A really fun part about Laxman Jhula is all the shops, stalls and stores! If you have time during your busy training schedule, go wander around for a bit and see what you can find. There are lots of fun clothing to buy like pants, shirts, shawls and scarves. Some other items that are available in the nearby markets: Candles, yoga gear, natural / Ayurvedic beauty and personal care products, religious items, health food, snacks and much more.

Indian culture

If you are a first time visitor to India, you may experience culture shock from just how different India is from other parts of the world. Be aware that it may be very emotionally overwhelming upon arriving in India, especially if you are beginning your journey in a big city like Delhi. Just know that Rishikesh is a very peaceful and relaxed place in India compared to larger cities.

There are many universal aspects of Indian culture that will extend throughout your travels in this country. Below are some things to anticipate during your time in India:

  • Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets over the Ganges River
  • Monkeys making mischief among the trees or on the side of roads
  • Adorable cows wandering around the roads and streets of villages and cities
  • High population density - crowds of people wherever you go

  • Holy cities like Rishikesh do not sell meat products or alcohol

Rishikesh is a very safe place for tourists and locals alike. Locals are used to foreigners and things, such as communication, are a lot easier here than other parts of India. Just practice your usual safety precautions and always keep track of your belongings.

World Peace Yoga School is very particular about food and serve only hygienically prepared nutritious and healthy food. The food is served thrice a day with changed menu. World Peace Yoga School pays special emphasis over yogi food for all the students.

Food provided at our center is 100% vegetarian but not vegan. It can be arranged provided you inform the chef about it well in advance.

We serve 3 vegetarian meals per day (and a cup of chai during our tea breaks) for the duration of the course.

Our meals are unlimited. Generally, you’ll get a plate of food with all of the various vegetarian Indian dishes appropriate for breakfast, lunch, or dinner (according to a yogic diet.) We always make a surplus of food for our students, which is usually placed on the dinner tables for our students to grab from if they want more of a particular dish. You can also always feel free to talk to our kitchen staff if you’d like your meals prepared a certain way or if you’d like extra food.

Recommended Airports

Arrival by bus

  • Make sure to ask the bus driver / bus director where they drop off at Rishikesh. You should depart from the bus at Rishikesh Bus Station (there’s only one!) which is usually their last stop if their destination is Rishikesh.
  • Once you arrive at Rishikesh Bus Station, find an auto rickshaw (tuk tuk) to take you to Laxman Jhula Bridge (Lock-Man Jewel-Uh Bridge). An auto rickshaw will cost around 300 INR from the bus station to Laxman Jhula Bridge. They will drop you near or around a path that has a sign leading you to Laxman Jhula. Feel free to ask the locals for further direction if need be.
  • Once you get to Laxman Jhula Bridge, cross it and make a right at Mango Tree Guesthouse. You’ll pass many shops, cafes and stores on your way to the school. *Follow the path all the way down for about 1 kilometer until you see the path curve left up a slight hill.
  • Continue up that curve and World Peace Yoga School will be on your left-hand side.
