Join West Broward Mindfulness Sangha for our first retreat of the year! This retreat will be held at the peaceful Casa San Carlos Retreat Center in Delray Beach, Florida. Each day will include a Dharma talk based on the practice of Mindfulness; instruction and practice of formal seated, walking, and eating meditation. Support meetings with the teacher. There will be two gentle mindful movement / yoga classes, one sound healing class, and a loving kindness meditation practice. Please join them as they come together to explore this peaceful and transformative practice.

Casa San Carlos Retreat Center is a peaceful retreat center in Delray Beach, Florida, USA. The retreat center has private and shared rooms, as well as a spacious meditation room, lovely gardens, and a peaceful lake to practice walking meditation. Their private rooms offer a private bathroom, a full size bed that can accommodate two people (please indicate if you are a couple), while shared rooms offer a shared bathroom and are equipped with a twin and full-size bed.


West Broward Mindfulness Retreats offer participants, an opportunity to explore the heart and mind opening practices of mindfulness in a peaceful setting. Mindfulness practice helps us cultivate the ability to meet our moment to moment experience with an open mind and a compassionate heart. Everyone has an innate capacity to experience well-being, resilience, and equanimity, no matter what happens in their lives. As you practice mindfulness, you learn to keep your heart and mind open to life, in all its joys and sorrows. Coming into this supportive environment, allows you an opportunity to explore this deeply healing and compassionate practice together. This retreat includes alternate periods of seated, walking, and eating meditation, as well as breaks for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and free time. The retreat is held in noble silence, which helps deepen the meditative state, gain insight, and increase your capacity to meet life with compassion and joy.

Other information

If you are practicing formal seated meditation (on the floor), please bring a cushion. Chairs are available. Please refrain from using scented products out of respect for others who may be allergic to them.


Cindy Ricardo
Cindy Ricardo is the lead teacher at West Broward Mindfulness Sangha. She has practiced yoga and mindfulness for the past 15 years and more. In both personal and professional life, this practice has helped her sustain an open mind and a compassionate heart. It helps her meet all experiences in life in ways that are healing where she sees the preciousness of life and are able to meet suffering with mindfulness and compassion. It is a life changing practice and Cindy is passionate about guiding others in healing / peaceful practices.
Jose Ricardo
Jose Ricardo is one of the instructors at West Broward Mindfulness Sangha.
