Your accommodation options range from beach huts (all en-suite) to luxury suites. You can choose either to stay in a beach hut (en-suite), palm grove, or Raj double. These accommodations are available in both sharing and single type.
Most of the huts are located on the dune, which separates Mandrem River from the Arabian Sea. The others are located on the mainland facing the river. There are hut sheltered behind the banks of the dune and others on the dune top. They all come with an en-suite bathroom, double bed with possibility of twin bed, fan, and mosquito net. Whilst being the economy section of the retreat, they have recently been lovingly upgraded with simple, yet chic interior-designed finishes.
Much of Ashiyana's accommodation is in a beautiful palm grove fronting the Mandrem River and facing towards the sea, which can be viewed from some of the upper-floor balconies. The accommodation is in the form of luxury eco-lodges, tree houses, and stone-built houses set amidst lush tropical gardens, statues, and water features. The lodges and tree houses are built of local wood giving an "Indonesian" feel, though most finishing touches are borrowed from classical Indian design, with plenty of natural fabrics and antique furniture.
The Raj area of Ashiyana is located at the far end of the Palm Grove, and is fronted on two sides by the tranquil Mandrem River. Some of the Raj rooms are within the Ashiyana Villa, which was built on the site of the original (fisherman) owner's storehouse, the others are sited along an inlet of the Mandrem River.
Four of the Raj rooms are doubles, and five are magnificent suites with stunning views. All of the Raj rooms are organically-shaped and stone-built, with rustic stucco walls, antique Rajasthani furniture, and sumptuous soft furnishings. No two rooms are the same, each has its individual charm and magnificent view from windows and balcony.
This retreat will be completely geared towards your personal needs, practice, and it also focuses upon self-care. You will have plenty of time to relax and restore during your Yin and supported Hatha Restorative classes. Yoga Nidra and in-depth meditation, sound healing, chakra work, and pranayama will also be on the menu, as well as refreshing Yin Yang morning practices. You will be completely rejuvenated and refreshed upon returning home and ready to bring the focus of self-care back into your daily life.

Arianne is a seasoned yoga teacher and yoga therapist, who has worked with many people of different ages and abilities. Her classes are best described as luscious, caring Yin with a hint of free flow in her more dynamic sessions. Reconnecting with the self, rediscovering, constantly inquiring, and breathing through the moment that is now, are recurring aspects that define her style, on and off the mat.

During this retreat, you will be provided with daily vegetarian breakfast and dinner. The Ashiyana Restaurant offers two delicious buffet meals per day which are the post-yoga brunch and dinner. Their Nepalese head chef, Tek, and his team offer a fusion of Indian, Nepalese, and Western cuisine. The mostly vegetarian menu includes an abundance of fresh fruit, vegetables, and organic produce whenever possible. Fresh fish and seafood dishes are available once or twice a week.
The guests, staff, teachers, and therapists all dine together at mealtimes as one big family. You will gather around the large dining table and participate in the group conversations, or perhaps choose to sit in the restaurant gazebo, or any of the other quieter dining areas, for a more intimate chat with fellow guests and staff.
There are drinking water taps available in the restaurant for you to enjoy fresh water. There are also self-service masala chai and fresh ginger lemon teas available throughout the day. Brunch is from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A large selection of fresh fruits, home-made muesli, porridge, curd (yogurt), fresh coconut milk, home-baked bread, home-made jams and nut butters, daily egg dish, guacamole, sprouted lentils, fresh juice or smoothie, and other daily specials are available.
Dinner is from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A large buffet comprising a fusion of local and Western cuisine, freshly prepared salads, rice, dahl, vegetables, and dessert are available. Please note these times may vary slightly throughout the season.
Tulsi Treat's treatments are available for a reduced price to support your self-care program during the retreat in the Ashiyana Spa, such as the holistic yoga therapy sessions (including a personal devised practice you can take home with you), massage (alchemy of touch), and stress pattern release for 60 or 90 minutes from 37 EUR per session.
Please book your flight to arrive at Goa International Airport (GOI). Transfer from and to this airport is available upon request. Ashiyana is a 90-minute taxi journey from the airport. Pre-paid government taxis are available as you exit the airport terminal, or Tulsi Treats can organize a local Mandrem taxi to collect you for 20 EUR. Money changers and ATMs can be found at the airport and locally if you arrive during the day.
