    Your accommodation will be in The Rim Resort, Chiang Mai, for four nights, Manee Dheva Resort & Spa, Chiang Rai, for two nights, and Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok, Bangkok, for two nights.

    The Rim Resort

    The Rim Resort is a colonial Lanna house in the old town of Chiang Mai. It has a swimming pool surrounded by restaurant, bars, and a nice tropical garden. Modernism and old Thai style are combined.

    Manee Dheva Resort & Spa

    Manee Dheva Resort & Spa is located in a picturesque valley outside the city of Chiang Rai. Built in typical north Thai style, its rooms are discreetly integrated into the surrounding landscape.

    Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok

    Rembrandt Hotel Bangkok is strategically located in the coolest neighborhood in Bangkok. It is modern with nice swimming pools and some restaurants.

    Day 1: Chiang Mai (February 3, 2018)

    For those who continue on this adventure, flying east again, you will arrive at dawn in the mystical city of Chiang Mai. The old citadel will be your home for a few days. Check in and rest. In the afternoon, you will venture to the hill of this ancient city to visit one of the most revered temples and see the whole region from above. Have a re-welcome dinner (now in Thailand) and return to the hotel. Overnight in Chiang Mai.

    Day 2: Chiang Mai (February 4, 2018)

    • Exploring the old city "scavenger hunt" style
    • You will discover the secrets of this old kingdom by playing, walking, and cycling.
    • In the afternoon, visit the Sunday Market
    • Overnight in Chiang Mai

    Day 3: Chiang Mai (February 5, 2018)

    • Morning practice
    • Breakfast
    • Thai massage class (initiation)
    • In the afternoon, you will begin the rotation of individual massage sessions. The 3-hour session is a combination of detox, relaxation, and body-balance treatments reflecting the ancient ceremonial protocol of the Lanna culture.

    Day 4: Chiang Mai (February 6, 2018)

    • For those that were unable to participate the day before, massage sessions will be scheduled throughout the day. Before and / or after sessions, the day is free for walking, market visits, and / or an optional Thai cooking class.

    Day 5: Chiang Rai (February 7, 2018)

    • Early departure to Chiang Rai
    • Along the way, you will visit one of the several natural parks of the region to see and share time with elephants. Lunch is included.
    • Overnight in Chiang Rai

    Elephant note: At a true elephant sanctuary, there is no riding of the elephants, tricks, or shows, instead, you will see these amazing creatures living undisturbed in their natural environment. This is a rarity in Thailand where most elephants are used either in logging or in the tourist trekking industry. Your visit will teach about these amazing animals while supporting their care and conservation.

    Day 6: Chiang Rai (February 8, 2018)

    • Morning practice
    • Breakfast and restful morning at the hotel
    • Visit the impressive "Black House" (Baan Dam) temple on the way to a day in the old town where you will visit additional wats and enjoy some free time. Here, you have the opportunity to walk and dine in the great variety of restaurants and local markets.
    • Late return to the hotel
    • Overnight in Chiang Rai

    Day 7: Bangkok (February 9, 2018)

    • Morning practice
    • Breakfast and check-out
    • You save your last day for a visit to the awesome White Temple (Rong Khun), noting the strong contrast from your earlier visit to Baan Dam.
    • Leisurely lunch and transfer to the airport for a late flight to Bangkok
    • Arrival and transfer to your hotel
    • Overnight in Bangkok

    Day 8: Bangkok (February 10, 2018)

    What better way to explore this multi-layered city than by foot, metro, and boat! Your "non-traditional" visit through Bangkok will give you a glimpse at the old and new in this diverse capital. In the evening, you will attend the Siam Niramit performance where music, culture, and history are combined in a spectacular production. Farewell dinner is included. Overnight in Bangkok.

    Day 9: Bangkok (February 11, 2018)

    • Breakfast and free day for shopping and / or rest before boarding your night flight back home

      Born in Buenos Aires, Andrea has worked in tourism for over 25 years including as general manager of an incentive travel business before starting her own travel company. Andrea has extensive experience in organizing large groups and has done so in many different countries with high levels of satisfaction. She has studied Sustainable Tourism, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Systemic Coaching that complement her background in business administration and apply everything learned with the aim of evolving the travel industry and to make every single trip a "great experience of life".

    • Valerie Schneiderman

      Yoga Alliance E-RYT 500 (Yoga)

      Born in Los Angeles, Valerie traveled extensively while competing in rhythmic gymnastics. Travel became an education in itself during her teenage years, when many months each year were spent far from home. As an adult, a whole new journey began in her life, the yogi's journey, and for the last twenty-plus years, Valerie has been humbled and grateful daily for the bounty of gifts that yoga has bestowed upon her. Her intention in opening The Yoga Shala (in 2003) was to share this bounty with others. Traveling to India to experience the birthplace of yoga with her students is a dream come true.

    This retreat will take place in Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and Bangkok, Thailand.

    Chiang Mai

    Within this modern, vibrant city lies an ancient history and connection to the Lanna Kingdom. A blissful calm and a relaxed pace are the "inner heartbeat" of this northern city. Elaborate Buddhist temples, street markets, and fabulous food invite you to discover a city that is still firmly Thai in atmosphere and attitude.

    Chiang Rai

    Chiang Rai was founded in the 13th century, as part of the Lao-Thai Lanna Kingdom. The ancient city is known for its local markets, exceptional street food, and an abundance of wats (Buddhist temples), including the famous Baan Dam (Black Temple) and Wat Rong Khun (White Temple). Outside the city, a number of national parks afford visitors an up-close opportunity to see and experience Thailand's elephant conservation efforts.


    Bangkok, Thailand's capital, is a large city known for ornate shrines and a vibrant street life. The boat-filled Chao Phraya River feeds a network of canals, flowing past the Rattanakosin royal district, home to the opulent Grand Palace and its sacred Wat Phra Kaew. Everywhere you look in Bangkok, you are a witness to a blending of old and new, where the shiny sits right beside the grit. It is these contrasts and contradictions that give the City of Angels its rich personality.

    You will be served daily breakfast during the whole trip. This retreat also features four additional meals throughout the duration of your journey.

    Please book your flight to arrive at Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK). From here, please take notice you need to take the free shuttle bus to Don Mueang International Airport (DMK), which is where you will take your domestic flight to Chiang Mai.
