You will be accommodated for one night at Novotel Yangon Max in Yangon and for seven nights on the Kindat Pandaw river boat. You can choose to stay either in a twin or single room.

Immerse yourself in yoga and explore the amazing local culture, restore and rejuvenate the mind and body through daily traditional yoga and meditation classes, satisfy your inner travel itch, and explore the beauty of Myanmar with experience and knowledgeable group organizers.
Anna will run two daily yoga classes (morning and evening). These sessions will be hosted on the main deck of the Kindat Pandaw cruise boat. Yoga mats and props will be provided.
Arrive into Yangon in the morning where you will be transferred to the five-star Novotel Yangon Max. Relax and recuperate from the journey or perhaps explore city sights, including the stunning Shwedagon Pagoda.
Sit back and marvel at the stunning countryside on a coach transfer (three and a half hours) to Pagan. The Pandaw crew will welcome you as you arrive and board the Kindat Pandaw for lunch. This afternoon, you will explore the nearby (more than) 3000 monuments in Bagan.
Sightseeing will take you to a number of stupas and pagodas, a tour of a lacquerware workshop (showing the production and history of this beautiful trade), local markets and Pandaw Charity’s clinic. Watch the sunset from one of the temples that gives breathtaking panoramic views across Bagan.
Early morning sail to Salay, a sleepy village filled with colonial architectural gems and timeless teak monasteries. Your next stop is Pakhannge, a Bagan dynasty city with period temples and wood-carved monasteries. Arrive mid-afternoon at the Tan-Chi-Taung Mountains where you will ascend by WWII jeep to view World Heritage Site-listed monuments. Later, pay a visit to Minnanthu, one the clinics supported by the Pandaw Charity.
Enjoy a leisurely morning on the boat with a presentation given by a local guide on Burmese traditions. You'll arrive near Pakokku by afternoon and ride into town on tuk tuks to visit the market.
Today, venture to the town of Yandabo, famous for the production of terracotta pottery from the riverbank clay. Watch the pottery making process in action and, afterward, visit a local school. Later, you'll sail to moor near Ava at Pau Taw Pauk Myaing.
Sail to Sagaing where lies thousands of hermitages and sanctuaries, rich in woodcarving and religious art. This afternoon, you'll drive to Amarapura, (the former capital of Myanmar) for a fantastic boat trip on the Taungthaman Lake and watch the sunset behind U Bein Bridge, the world’s longest teak bridge.
Sail to Mingun to explore the world’s largest working bell and unfinished pagoda. The afternoon is for sightseeing in central Mandalay with visits to the grand royal palace (Mandalay Palace), surrounding hills, local craft workshops, and some market retail therapy.
After an early morning breakfast, you'll disembark the Kindat Pandaw in Mandalay where you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home. Those returning to New Zealand with The Williment Travel Group's group flights will arrive in Wellington at 15:05 on April 25.
Anna grew up in rural Canada, where she studied child and youth counselling along with sociology, spending several years working in treatment and residential care facility counseling at risk youth. In 2011, after volunteering with her local studio, Anna went on to complete a 200hr and eventually her 300hr Teacher Training with Himalaya Yoga Valley Centre in India. Upon graduation, Anna returned to Canada and began teaching yoga immediately. Anna has taught in Canada, India, Vietnam, Ireland and New Zealand. She has now resettled in Toronto Canada where she lives and teaches.
During this yoga cruise, you will sail along Irrawaddy River and visit several destinations including Mandalay, Bagan, Salay, Pakhannge, Minnanthu, Pakokku, Yandabo, Sagaing, and Mingun.
Please book your flight to arrive at Mandalay International Airport (MDL). Transfer from and to the airport is included. The Williment Travel Group will pick you up from the airport.
