There are five bedrooms in the manor house and three in the courtyard cottage, which are part of the manor house.

Manor House

The Linded

This beautiful bright room features double bed and en-suite bathroom.

The Royal Oak

This room has a super king bed, patio doors, and a Juliet balcony, dressing room, master en-suite bathroom with a separate shower enclosure, south facing overlooking the beautiful gardens.

The Ash

The room consists of two single beds, en-suite with a bath, south facing overlooking the beautiful gardens.

The Birch

The room has a king size bed and patio doors with Juliet balcony and an en-suite bathroom with separate shower cubicle, south facing overlooking the beautiful gardens.

The Chestnut

Situated in the east wing, this room has twin beds with private bathroom, overlooking the manor’s stunning gardens. The beautiful large bath room with separate shower cubicle is situated directly outside the room.

It’s a king bedroom with private bathroom situated just outside the room.

The Yew

The Yew offers a beautiful twin bedroom and shares a bathroom with the Holly which is situated directly outside of the room.

Whether you choose to engage in all of the workshops or to simply take advantage of having the space and time to relax, The Wellness Tree Retreat are here to help you make time for your well-being.

The Wellness Tree's workshops are carefully designed to appeal to and benefit all. They are delivered by the accredited psychotherapist who is a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists MBACP (Accred) and is also on the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (UKRCP).

On the other hand, the yoga sessions are delivered by the expert yogi who has been approved by the Wellness Tree.

Workshop

Workshops are designed to give you the space and time to focus your thoughts and relax. You will be led through yoga, candle lit meditation, relaxation, and positive change workshops leaving you feeling revived and refreshed.

With mindfulness becoming an important aspect of everyday life, the 'Be Mindful' workshop is an integrative, mind-body based approach which will allow you to manage your thoughts and feelings.

The workshop enables you to concentrate on the present moment, using techniques such as meditation, breathing, and gentle relaxation exercises. It will also enable you to become more aware of your thoughts, feelings, and body sensations instead of feeling overwhelmed by them.

Yoga

Yoga has been practiced for over 5,000 years and has many proven health benefits. Yoga is a total mind-body workout that combines strengthening and stretching poses with deep breathing and meditation or relaxation. With over 100 different forms of yoga there are so many ways to relax, tone, and stretch your body! The Wellness Tree Retreat focuses the sessions on being gentle and relaxing (unless you request otherwise!).

The Wellness Tree Retreat’s expert yogi is here to ensure the classes are suitable for all. She is able to adapt her sessions to meet your needs and will leave you feeling totally relaxed with a new refreshed energy and positive mind.

  • Angela

    Angela is an accredited psychotherapist who is a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists MBACP and is also on the United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (UKRCP). She is trained to facilitate the exploration of your inner and outer world to help you gain insight into areas of your life that may be challenging to you. Angela will be available for free one to one support throughout the weekend, should you wish to have a more private discussion.

  • Jennie

    Jennie's love for yoga began in 2009 after traveling the world. As well as developing her passion for yoga, she started to see other health benefits such as managing stress and anxiety, building self-esteem, and confidence, offering release for an ongoing neck problem and weight loss. In 2012, Jennie qualified with Anne-Marie Newland founder of Sun Power Yoga in Greece. Jennie completed a workshop with Kino McGregor and in December 2014 traveled to Mysore, India to spend a month at KPJAYI studying Ashtanga yoga with Saraswati Jois daughter of the famous Sri K Pattabis Jois.

Set in 35 acres of garden, parkland, and woodland, on the edge of the stunning North York Moors National Park, Irton Manor has been carefully selected to host this retreat to give you a truly five star experience.

From the moment you enter into the estate, you will instantly feel calm and relaxed. Surrounded by natural beauty, it is a true escape; allowing you the time and space to completely switch off and unwind.

Food is an important part of the retreat. The Wellness Tree Retreat’s emphasis is on clean, green, and fresh produce, made with organic ingredients and sourced locally where possible. Rest assured you will not go hungry. Watch the onsite chef in action, as she cooks delicious meals in the open plan kitchen and living room.

All meals throughout your stay (breakfast, lunch, and evening meals) and afternoon tea on Saturday are included in the retreat package. All meals will be served in the main dining room. However, should the weather permit, you are welcome to enjoy breakfast or lunch on the sun terrace.

Breakfast

  • Superfood porridge with quinoa and chia seeds and blueberry compote
  • Wild Alaskan smoked salmon with slow roasted vine tomatoes and dill infused scrambled eggs
  • Wild mushrooms and poached eggs on toasted rye bread with a parsley and chive dressing

Lunch

  • Bibimbap with brown rice and organic hens eggs with a fresh coriander, cucumber, and sesame salad
  • Butter bean and falafel salad with crispy kale and a tzatziki dressing and micro herbs
  • Pearly barley and roasted beetroot risotto with charred organic goat’s cheese and broccoli sprouts

Dinner

  • Goan fish curry with coconut, lime, and coriander scented cauliflower rice with a cucumber salsa
  • Ginger scented king prawns with udon, sweet potato, and courgette sesame noodles with a lime and chilli dressing
  • Lemon and thyme scented corn fed chicken with roasted garlic and herbed black quinoa
  • Sautéed wild mushrooms and micro watercress bouillabaisse with king prawns, mussels, and haddock with a super green salad

Dessert

  • Raw chocolate, avocado, and lime cheesecake raspberry frangipane with coconut cream
  • Raw strawberry and chocolate tart caramelized poached pear with a pecan crumb

There are wonderful therapists who are able to deliver the most amazing treatments. You will be left feeling completely relaxed and restored after some serious pampering and your Wellness Tree time. You can choose and indulge in various treatments available at 35 GBP for 30 minutes.

Relaxing back neck and shoulder massage

Relax and unwind with this light to medium pressure massage, as preferred by you. Enjoy the benefits of reduced tension, improved sleep, leaving you with an enhanced feeling of well-being.

Deep tissue back neck and shoulder massage

A remedial massage for aches and pains with firm pressure. Muscles will be stretched and relieved with this intensive massage. Leaving you feeling more supple reducing pain.

Face, neck, and scalp

Refresh and rejuvenate with this extremely relaxing treatment. The appearance of wrinkles will be reduced. Feel the detoxifying and soothing benefits of this treatment.

Traditional Abhyanga Indian head massage

Originating from Ayurvedic medicine, done with lashings of warm sesame seed oil with amber, this treatment focuses on marma points within the body, secret places, where points of the vital life force energy are. Stimulating these areas brings divine energy directly into your body, which sustains you.

Ear candles with lymphatic facial drainage

This is a therapeutic treatment helping to relieve ear nose and throat ailments. Linen candles are burnt in your ears creating a vacuum, removing impurities, and a very light face massage without oil to drain away any toxins.

Irton Manor is perfectly positioned and accessible by car and train from various locations. Seamer train station is just three miles from the manor from which many direct trains run to and from.

From London it only takes just over three hours by train. From London catch the direct Virgin train to York and then a train from York to Seamer.

From Leeds, Manchester, and Bristol, catch the direct train to York and then a train to Seamer.
