    During this retreat, you will be staying at the highly acclaimed Akinon Resort in La Nucia. This purpose built wellness resort offers indoor and outdoor swimming pools together with a spa. It is nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains and boasts a superb climate all year around. Akinon is a true oasis with everything provided for you on site so you can delve deeper into yourself and your writing.

    The accommodation will be in private apartments each with its own kitchenette, bathroom, and lounge area. Rooms can accommodate one or two guests and you can choose if you want to share with another retreat participant or book a single room. Breakfast packs will be provided so you will have the luxury of having breakfast at your leisure in your room.

You will also feel relaxed and pampered with two spa treatments and daily access to the luxury spa facilities.

    During this retreat, you will discover the history of the area in a unique cultural excursion hosted by Ken Scott, your mountain guide and writing coach. Ken will also lead a guided walk and hike through the beautiful Sierra Bernia Mountains. You will also be pampered on this luxury retreat. You will be able to focus on yourself with two complimentary spa treatments, sound healing, and Yoga Nidra. The team creates a sacred and nurturing space just for you, where you will not have to lift a finger to cook, clean, or take care of anyone else.

    This retreat is the perfect opportunity for you to progress your writing project. It does not matter if you are the first time author, have just decided you want to write a book, have some new ideas, or need to rework a book you have already written.

    At this retreat, you will have time to clarify your purpose, set your goal for the week, and carve your special time to write. Creative meditations, sounds healing, and yoga Nidra practices are all designed to give you that special headspace and relaxation time to be able to write.

    Bodywise Pilates with Sally

    Bodywise Pilates has been developed by Sally Nolan from a solid advanced level of training with STOTT Pilates and is firmly rooted in the original teachings of Joseph Pilates. The original Pilates exercises were devised from a mixture of bodybuilding, gymnastics, and yoga to produce an exercise regime which moved the body in the most natural, efficient, and pain-free way.

    These original exercises form the base of Bodywise Pilates with the added benefit of some adaptations through the application of modern science and knowledge about the body. Sally’s classes are always varied, motivating, and most importantly safe. Sally caters for both men and women, mixed abilities, and any injuries or physical problems within the class by adapting exercises as required to suit your needs.

    Yoga

    Tania and James teach a combination of Hatha, mindful Vinyasa, and Restorative yoga and meditation. All of their classes will combine core breath work with progressive intelligent sequences. With over 25 years combined experience, Tania and James will ensure that the yoga classes are tailored for your body and offer the right mix of stretching, strengthening, and relaxation. Tania will lead the meditation, mindfulness, and breathing classes which will help you de-stress, relax, and focus.

    During this holiday, you will enjoy a guided hike through the Sierra Bernia Mountains with a picnic lunch included. The Costa Blanca has some of the most beautiful hiking in Spain. The grade of the hike will be assessed according to you. The hike will also include an outdoor yoga and meditation session.

    The second excursion is a half-day trip hosted by the bestselling author, Ken Scott, will take you on a guided tour. This excursion will offer you a chance to understand a bit more about the cultural history of the area they are staying in. The final excursion will be a trip to the beautiful old town of Altea with a dinner in one of the scenic restaurants.

      Tania started practicing Iyengar yoga over 20 years ago whilst studying and found that it had a profound effect on her ability to concentrate. She has continued practicing a variety of styles of yoga including Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Power yoga, Kundalini, Satyananda, and Yin yoga. She has traveled and practiced in many countries and sought out renowned international teachers such as Simon Borg-Oliver in Australia, Bramacharya Rudra Dev in Rishikesh, and Dharma Mittra in New York.

      Yoga Alliance International (Ashtanga Yoga, Hatha Yoga)

      James is a registered Yoga Alliance Hatha and Ashtanga teacher who undertook his Hatha yogic studies in Rishikesh, India, the home of yoga. James’ classes challenge your body and mind by working through dynamic yoga positions as well as exploring different areas of the body. Each class focuses on building physical strength through a focus on both the mind and breath. The classes will end with a wonderful guided relaxation leaving you feeling refreshed and ready for the day ahead.

      With over 26 years international training and experience in the health and fitness field, Sally has acquired a wealth of qualifications and knowledge. Sally comes from a sporting background and has spent her adult life following her passion for fitness. However, 15 years ago in London, she started on her Pilates voyage which is where her passion truly lies. Of all her years teaching a broad spectrum of group fitness classes, Sally is now a devout advocate of Bodywise Pilates and has come to believe that it is truly the most intelligent form of exercise.

      Ken Scott is an international best selling author and ghostwriter with books translated into eight different languages. He has been a Sunday Times top ten author on several occasions and number one bestseller on Amazon. He is a screenwriter and two of his books have been optioned for films. He is also a book coach and is more than happy to work on a one to one basis or in small groups. He has written or co-written twenty-five published books.

    Lunches and dinners during the retreat will be served at Fusion 8, Akinon's highly acclaimed restaurant. Fusion 8 serves high-quality and exciting international cuisine based on natural, fresh, seasonal, and locally sourced ingredients. Special diets can be accommodated if notified in advance. Alcoholic beverages are available at an additional cost.

    A number of meals will be provided outside on the excursion days, and you will have a celebratory dinner at a fabulous restaurant in the old town. Each apartment is provided with a healthy breakfast pack including muesli, yogurt, fruit, bread, eggs, tea, or coffee milk. This enables you to have your breakfast at your leisure.
