During the retreat, you will be staying at Suddha Anand Yogshala ashram. Its new ashram residence is set on private and peaceful land and is just five minutes walking distance to the popular Varkala main beach. The property is an ideal place for study, practice, meditation, and sadhana. It is a place where you can immerse yourself in nature, feel peace, and relaxation.
The building has comfortable sit outs, an abundance of tropical foliage, and fruit trees. This tranquil space can be enjoyed by everyone day or night, rain or shine. The ashram accommodation is simple and basic yet very comfortable, ideal for the spiritual aspirant. This 300-hour yoga teacher training program will work deeply in your mind, body, soul. The program is a perfect choice if you wish to learn what lies beneath all the superficial layers and you wish to deepen your knowledge and learn other yogic applications for health and wellness. The core focus of the program is Ayurveda, an India’s very ancient, multi layered, and holistic approach to maintain optimal health and wellness at all stages in life.
According to Ayurveda, majority of illness and unhappiness in life arises from energetic blockages or imbalances within your subtle body and this can lead to a reduction of vitality and impaired functioning of body, mind, and spirit. The program has been designed to systematically teach, through practical means, how ancient yogic techniques can release energetic blockages, thus improving health and wellness.
Through study of panchamahabhutas, tridosha, the nature of prakriti, purification treatments, advanced practices of asana, pranayama, mudra, bandha, and mantra alongside deeper studies of yogic philosophy, you will take an intimate journey into yourself and will develop a much deeper understanding of ancient yogic practices.

This program is an intermediate level course and requires all registrants have previously completed an internationally recognized and accredited 200-hour yoga teacher training. The program is ideal for existing teachers who wish to refine their skills and also for those who wish to deepen their personal practices.
The yoga teacher training will take place in North Cliff, Varkala. Varkala is a beautiful little coastal town in Kerala, South India. It is known as the spiritual center of the south and the home of India’s ancient system of natural medicine, Ayurveda. With a thriving yoga community, Varkala is becoming known as a popular destination for those who wish to rejuvenate, find peace of mind, and immerse themselves in the practices of yoga and Ayurveda.
Varkala is a calm and peaceful town which runs alongside the Arabian Sea. While many tourists visit annually, it is still one of South India’s best kept secrets. With a relatively low population of just over 40,000, it is perhaps one of the only towns in India where you will see very little traffic, virtually no pollution from automobiles, incredibly clean streets and sidewalks, and you can enjoy clean tap water.
There are many beautiful places to explore and visit while staying in Varkala, such as long, unspoiled white sand beaches, a 2000-year-old Vishnu Temple, and the Ashram Sivagiri Mutt, which is located a short distance from the beach, and the nearby backwaters of Kerala.

During the course, you will be served three delicious, freshly prepared Indian, satvic, vegetarian meals per day except on Sundays. Sunday is your day to venture out to the seaside boardwalk to try something different.
During the training, you will have two Ayurvedic massages, two Shirodhara oil treatments, and an Ayurvedic full colonic cleanse.
