Your retreat takes place in a peaceful and luxurious villa, surrounded by palm trees, lush gardens and swimming pool. The villa is designed in traditional wooden architecture with modern fixtures. The serene space provides an inspiring, ambient feeling for yoga, meditation, and relaxation, creating and experiencing Koh Phangan’s magical, healing vibe.

All rooms are air conditioned and decorated in a Zen theme. The large, comfortable living area has many intimate niches and places to relax, socialize, or to just be with yourself to reflect. This spacious living area is surrounded by a wrap around balcony with hammocks overlooking the beautiful garden, pool, and river.

This retreat is especially helpful for anyone feeling stuck, blocked, uninspired, or stressed and sick from the pressures and demands life. This is your opportunity for change. You do not need to have any prior experience with yoga or meditation. Although this is a deeply sophisticated system, you will be lovingly guided by an experienced teacher with over 10 years of teaching.

Kriya

Kriyas are a series of guided movements, breathing techniques, meditations, mudras, and sound vibrations that when combined, quickly initiate physical healing and spiritual awakening. Connect to the infinite wisdom, raise your vibration, and learn to live from your intuitive mind, so you can bring in new, limitless possibilities to your life.

The focus

Tuned in with the nature of this unique tropical island and amplified by the natural healing crystals embedded in its ground, Shine Your Light will bring balance to the five physical elements known as tattvas: earth, fire, air, water, and ether. These elements make up your world and shape your human experience. Each person has a dominant tattva, or an element, which directs his or her individual behavior and projected personality.

When tattvas are strong, in balance, and located in the proper areas of the body, then you are in a place to heal, release stress and illness, and channel your projections. These sacred Kundalini Kriyas and meditations are effective technologies for clearing and emptying the clutter of the mind’s constant chatter, so that you may reach a state of inner peace where intuition and solutions flow, and even the toughest problems can be discovered.

If you ever feel like you keep making the same mistakes over and over again, you may ask yourself why this happened and why you ended up here again. You may not know it, but much of how you act and react is inherited from your ancestors, and is still present in your collective unconscious. As you progress through the daily workshops, you will discover your ancestral archetype and personality projection.

At the end of the retreat, you will be given your own personal meditation and a system to practice at home. Thus, you will have the tools to remove harmful, destructive patterns, which will guide you through challenges, help launch you to new heights, and keep you balanced when all is running smoothly.

    Jewels first became passionate about yoga and holistic healing in efforts to find peace and balance while working in the hard dealing, fast wheeling radio advertising field in New York City. Yoga gave her the spiritual medicine that she was seeking. Jewels immersed herself in the teachings and soon left New York and corporate America, and has made it her mission to teach others the alternative ways of achieving health and happiness.

The retreat will take place in The Yoga House, Koh Phangan. It is located close to the main road in the quiet village of Bannaisuan between Thongsala (the main town) and Chaloklum (a beautiful fisherman village on the north). It takes about five minutes to reach either of them. All the major facilities such as supermarkets, banks, and shopping center are located around the main town Thongsala. There are many beautiful beaches nearby and take about five to 15-minute drive.

During the retreat, you will be served daily healthy and hearty vegetarian and vegan breakfast and dinner. For lunch, there are many restaurants a short drive away, including a Thai restaurant that serves western food and homemade ice cream just a two-minute walk from the house. Also, there is a popular Pantip Food Market nearby, which is open everyday from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

During your free time, you can take a Reiki healing treatment and fire Reiki Karmic clearing, calm your mind with chakra balancing, or pamper yourself with aroma touch massage.

Arrival by airplane

Please book your flight to arrive at Samui Airport (USM). There are daily flights between Bangkok and Koh Samui through Bangkok Airways. Alternatively, you may book a flight to Surat Thani Airport (URT). AirAsia and Nok Air provide daily flights from Bangkok to Surat Thani (flying time: 70 minutes).

Each airline provides the option to combine the flight and connecting ferry ride on their website. Search for Koh Phangan (Thong Sala Pier) as the destination. This combination includes a shuttle from the airport to the pier.

Arrival by bus

There are many bus services (mostly sleeper buses) from Bangkok to Koh Phangan. Book a ticket at any travel agency in Bangkok. The journey takes about 10 hours to Donsak, the ferry port for boats going to Koh Phangan. From Donsak, the journey takes around three hours to Koh Phangan. Usually, the ferry is included in the price of the bus.

Arrival by ferry / boat

From Koh Samui, take a connecting ferry to Koh Phangan. Ferry times and transportation to the pier can be arranged at the transportation counter in Samui Airport (USM). If your airplane arrives too late for the ferry, there are many inexpensive hotels on the island.

Arrival by train

Trains leave Bangkok several times a day. The trip takes an average of 12 hours. Sleeping pods are available for overnight trains. Book in advance to reserve a sleeper car. From the train station, take a taxi from Surat Thani station to Donsak pier (one and a half hours). From Donsak Pier, take a ferry to Koh Phangan (three hours).
