The course consists of intensive training and students are invited to commit 100% to gain maximum benefit in this unique old school yoga environment. You will be guided by skilled guru, Sri B.N.S Iyengar, and a team of experienced yoga teachers who have mastered their craft and have covered it all from history and philosophy to anatomy and the ancient art of yoga mudra, which is rarely taught.
Through this retreat, you will have a special opportunity to advance your personal practice. The small class sizes ensures that each student receives individual guidance. Through additional guided yoga meditation, you will have the opportunity to develop and nurture a deep awareness and mindfulness towards yourself and others. You will be able to teach others how yoga can be incorporated into their daily lives for more clarity and a holistically balanced life.
You will practice yogic techniques that will greatly improve your well-being and energy with the skill to pass on these techniques to others. The authentic method of Ashtanga Vinyasa primary series will be the main focus. Classes will delve on alignment principles and hands-on adjustments. Teachers will learn to teach asana according to the Ashtanga yoga tradition.
The Ashtanga Vinyasa classes will be taught in the traditional method as taught by Sri B.N.S Iyengar and his team of experienced yogis. Students will practice the entire primary series each day with additional classes focusing on refining, perfecting, and adjusting the series over the course of a month. Although the class has its own dynamic pace, students are encouraged to work according to their own capacity and in a focused yet relaxed and balanced environment.

There will be good days and sometimes vulnerable days as you will be totally immersed in intensive yoga practice and study for eight hours a day, six days a week for a month. You will experience a taste of what it means to be a yogi and be trained in the old way. Becoming a yoga teacher requires dedication and a sincere wish to benefit and serve others on their path of yoga. The motivation should not be based on simply taking on a new career.
Students or teachers should aspire to fully embody not just the physical aspect of asana but also wish to live according to yogic principles. Being an inspirational teacher involves much more than merely the required certification or completing a yoga teacher training course. Dedication, inner discipline, and commitment as well as a healthy sense of humor are all essential ingredients for a deep and transformative journey.
Please note that during this training, Sundays are free days.
