Allow yourself to escape everyday concerns and discover new paths while refreshing the mind, body, and spirit in this special and energizing location. Everybody is welcome, from beginners to advanced, and even the simply curious. You can participate as you wish or just go along for the ride. With the wind and without constraints, Salsasails guarantees a beautiful holiday.

You will be accommodated for 7 nights onboard the sailing vessel equipped with modern luxury comforts and all amenities. The sailing vessel is a 40-foot catamaran, providing a stable ride, and steered by a certified Yachtmaster Offshore skipper. The vessel has 4 double bedrooms, each equipped with a queen-size bed. The size of the boat allows everyone to isolate themselves for introspective moments.
Prior yoga experience is not required and beginners are welcome in Salsasails' yoga sessions. The teacher (certified professional Iyengar yoga master from Switzerland) will adapt the practice to suit all levels and ages. Yoga sessions will begin with a series of relaxation techniques to open up the mind and body and regulate the breath.
This will be followed by a series of more dynamic postures with a strong emphasis on alignment, that will lend stability, strength, and flexibility to the mind and body. The small group size assures that you will get individualized attention. 7 yoga sessions minimum will be included, locations may vary depending on the weather.
You will wake up at around 08:00 in the morning and enjoy a light breakfast. The location of each yoga session will vary, but will usually be held on the nearest beach (or on the boat if the weather does not permit the later). The yoga session will start at 09:00 and will last until 11:00. After the yoga session, you will return to the boat to enjoy a nutritious brunch.
The afternoon will be at your own leisure, you may walk around the beach, swim, relax, go sightseeing, or scuba diving with a Salsasails' guide! More yoga session can be held in the afternoon if the group desires. Evening meals will be on the boat or at a local restaurant.

Debbie is a Swiss-certified yoga instructor specializing in Iyengar technique. She has been teaching yoga for over 10 years. She holds her own studio in Ollon, Switzerland. She is originally from South Africa. Debbie speaks fluent French and can teach the class in French. Her classes are designed to relieve all tensions, calm the mind and nervous system while developing strength and balance in a profound symbiosis with the body. Debbie has extensive training in rehabilitative yoga and can work with all ages and levels of experiences, as well as physical limitations.
Isabelle Ronseaux Merle
Isabelle has been practicing yoga for more than 20 years. She is a Swiss-certified instructor (4-year course) and has trained at the Iyengar center in India. She practices Vipassana meditation and mountain sports.
Your retreat will take place on the Aeolian Islands that offer out of this world views. Each island has its own particularities which are why several movie makers have turned their films there.
The volcano on Stromboli is an active volcano but can be climbed (with a guide) to the summit, where a 360 view awaits. The beaches on several of the islands have sand of volcanic rock, contrasted by the winding white villages. And of course, the cuisine is fantastic, as one anticipates in Italy.
Please note that sailing requires flexibility on the sea in relation to climatic conditions and the direction of the wind. The exact route will, therefore, be adapted to allow the engines to rest and for you to enjoy the wind as much as possible in order to minimize the pollution.
Salsasails take special care in preparing their meals and are open to all forms of food. They buy fresh, organic, and seasonal products as much as possible. In this retreat, you will have a light breakfast in the morning in order to practice yoga. Hearty brunch awaits you upon returning from your yoga practice.
The fridge is accessible to you at all times. You can serve yourself and make yourself at home. Dinner in the evening on the boat or in the restaurant according to your desires and will be at your own expense.
