Enjoy the space in abundance, an ingeniously-developed traditional stone mas (Provencal farmhouse). The ground and upper floors benefit from separate entrances on opposite sides of the house. Each has a fully-equipped kitchen and is supplemented by a huge, arcaded barbecue and terrace as well as a fully-fenced swimming pool.

On the ground and first-floor level, there are large lounges with UK satellite TV, internet, and DVD players, which are ideal for teenagers, leading into agreeable bedrooms and many with air conditioning and en-suite facilities. Behind electronic gates, the villa’s grounds provide parking for four cars, manicured, constantly-watered lawns, table tennis, and a boules court that may be floodlit after dark.

There will be a total of 18 hours of yoga (two sessions daily), taught by Melissa Andersen. The classes will be for all levels. The morning classes will focus on a Vinyasa mix, exploring many types of practices such as Ashtanga, Hatha, and Bikram styles. You will also ease into the evening with Restorative, Yin, breathwork, and guided meditations.

    Melissa Andersen is the founder of Passport to the Heart and holds yoga retreats and events worldwide. She is a passionate American yoga instructor and motivational coach with over 13 years of experience. She completed her yoga teacher training in India for traditional Hatha yoga with an accredited Yoga Alliance school. Melissa’s global retreats contain a diverse array of yoga including Hatha yoga, Vinyasa flow, Yin yoga, and Pilates, with breathing exercises and guided meditation.

The house stands in Roquefort-les-Pins, a series of hamlets on the wooded slopes of the Alpes-Maritimes, high above the most famous resorts of the Riviera such as Nice, Antibes, and Cannes. Located in a quiet residential area but within easy reach of the shops and the renowned restaurant of the Auberge du Colombier, it offers wheelchair access, comfort, and security.

A nice airport can be reached in 20 minutes and the fashionable beaches of the Riviera in less than half an hour. You may find, however, that energetic plans are abandoned as each day passes seamlessly by in this delightful haven away from it all.
